Saiba Aisu
Hello, everyone. So, anyways, I have recently decided to focus on extending my cardmaking work for my current writing project, Days of the Black Apple. In this case, I decided to give you guys a sneak peak at another of the many Japanese-styled cards cards which will be featured in my current writing project, Days of the Black Apple. These revolutionary cards will be used as an expansion to the Gladiator Beast Deck by an important character who has yet to be introduced. As always, your comments and suggestions are appreciated. === Gladiator Beast Velitus - Image by Jazin Kay; Edited by Saiba Aisu & Alcander. Gladiator Beast VelitusLevel 2WindBeast-Warrior-Type/Tuner/EffectATK 1200 / DEF 400When this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Gladiator Beast" monster, you can increase the Level of 1 face-up monster on the field by 1 until the End Phase. At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked, you can return it to the Deck to Special Summon 1 "Gladiator Beast" monster from your Deck, except "Gladiator Beast Velitus". Gladiator Beast Valerian - Image by Jazin Kay; Edited by Saiba Aisu & Alcander. Gladiator Beast ValerianLevel 6DarkBeast-Warrior-Type/Synchro/EffectATK 2300 / DEF 14001 "Gladiator Beast" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersOnce per turn, during your Main Phase, you can return 1 "Gladiator Beast" monster from your Graveyard to the bottom of your Deck to destroy 1 card your opponent controls. If the selected card is a Spell or Trap Card, it cannot be activated in response to this effect. If the card destroyed by this effect was a Monster Card, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. Alcander
O.o Valerian's effect it's so amazing! very well done on these ones, creative, helpful and balanced effects, I'm going to post these pictures on my thread :3 there's not much to say but amazing! Velitus 1st effect would be helpful to reach the Level of another monster you control and then Special Summon Valerian. 10/10 they work well together. ProSora
wow, great pics nice job guysthough Velitus could easily summon a higher lvl monster in one turn without Tribute o.oValerian's is cool, i personally like iti would use these 9/

Saiba Aisu
Okay, I will do my best to address everyone's comments one at a time in order. Alcander: Haha, thank you very much! I'm glad you like them so much; I will admit that I was initially concerned that their effects wouldn't live up to their epic images! Yep, these cards are pretty revolutionary for the Gladiator Beast archetype, each in their own unique way. Thank you for the perfect rating and for creating such excellent images! ProSora: Thanks, Sora! As a fellow Japanese cardmaker, I really appreciate your constructive input. Yeah, Velitus is pretty useful in the fact that he's not limited to Synchro Summoning just Gladiator Beasts - he lends a lot of versatility to the Gladiator Beast Deck in that perspective. Thanks again for the high rating, and yeah, I would use these too! TOMY: Yep, I'm quite pleased with how they turned out as well! Thanks for your high rating and for taking the time to post such a positive remark. You're not the first who has suggested that I should work for Konami. xD More comments, please! Canadian
Nice editing on the overused pics. This is alot more balanced than some versions of them that I've seen. Also, if people are thinking that the Sync is OP'ed, than you obvsiously don't play GB's, or you'd know that they almost never hit the Grave, and if they do, it's only beneficial w/ Darius. 10/10 for your awesome GB support. (They need it seeing as how there are anti-GB cards sided left and right now adays).
emopirate
wow..amazing..this is a big help 4 the other gladiators..this is tough so as the other GB's...i never lose n a duel using glads so....10/

They're nice, a good way around the things like Corridor of Suffering by not Summoning from the main. Although Gyzarus is probably more useful a lot of the time, the synchro is still good to have as a viable option and the tuner is nice just in case they need Goyo/Brio/whatever and can drop a Beastari/Laquari in the Grave when it synchs to set up for a nice Darius --> Fusion play later ;D EDIT: I just noticed that if you get lucky and call prio to destroy a backrow which is Bottomless, it dodges it <
Canadian
Velitus should have been a Beast-Type not Beast-Warrior. That way Rescue Cat could have him as a target for Synching instead of just Airbellum. Off-Topic: Anybody still use Test Tiger for their GB decks? R-Cat already has Keymouse and Airbellum, plus all The Fableds tuners, although they aren't TCG yet. Test Tiger's used occasionally now, although it isn't considered very important, and is often left out in competitive Decks, or only run @1/2 to reduce dead draws. But, I usually run Cat with Airbellum so he can go with one of my two Test Tigers or one of my two Samnite's if I need too. I'd like it if I could omit Airbellum to make the deck more GB centered. Thats why I asked. GB's would just flow so nicely if Velitus was a Beast.

Rescue Glads aren't the main type of Glads at the moment - that would be the anti-meta Glads that run Rai-Oh and, I believe, D-Fissure, which hurts this synchro. It also runs 0 Test Tiger, Airbellum and R-Cat and is shown to regularly out-do the Deck you're describing =/ Most good Glad Decks wouldn't notice the change from Beast to Beast-Warrior, and I appreciate the growth of the under-populated Beast-Warrior Type. Canadian
Oh wow, stupid "The". Theres alot of Anti-Kitty cards now too. Also, Cat is only at 1 so Rescue Glads shouldn't be the main type, your right. E-Hero Prisma fills any holes for Contacting that GB's need. Personally, GB's don't entirely need Synchro Summoning, but they probably won't get much more contact support now-a-days. I wonder what could help GB's right now to be even more competitive, maybe just a better draw engine for quicker contacting. I guess we'll have to see.
