Cutting - [Serious Disc Only]

As someone who was diagnosed with depression last year' date=' the last thing I want to be classed as a stupid depressed person. RA I find some of your comments very upsetting, and it shows you have no sense to even bother to be sensitve about such a painfully raw issue for some people. You can't just call someone screwed it up in the head, they know there's something wrong, but its so hard to want to do something about it.

I used to use a sweat band to cover my wrist when I self harmed, and at other times when it became its worse, I managed sure not to cut below the length of my short sleeved top. Where I've scarred now, so I'm never happy to go swimming anymore.

Unfortunately, I have zero sympathy for people who cut themselves.

If you're depressed, you can always turn to those who care about you for love and support. You can get help and snap out of depression. But cutting yourself is taking steps backwards instead of forward to a better life. It's an incredibly stupid choice, and leaves you with terrible consequences to deal with, such as your displeasure with swimming due to the scars. If you're trying to send out a plea for help, you have a mouth, use it. You also have a computer if you're uncomfortable talking about it face-to-face with someone. There are better ways to notify people of your plight and that you need help.

If you seriously believe cutting yourself directly helps to aid your problem, then you are quite frankly mentally disturbed.

I'm pretty sure one day someone said; "Instead of pulling my hair' date=' I'll cut myself to relieve the pain[/i']

Yeah that's what I thought, it seems related to people who pull their hair.

But on the other side you do remember that you're a human too right? With a high amount of failures btw?

So yeah just saying, sometimes people need a little reminder that they're not much different and not much above from the rest.;)

*sigh* Humanity, you never cease to make me frown upon your failure. (And no I'm not saying this applies to everyone as it'd be impossible to do so, but a good chunk of you... yes).

I didn't read what you said. And way to break my casual way of speaking ._.". (Ive gotten in trouble for this lately but whatever, it's a relaxed way of talking. Saying everyone doesn't MEAN everyone for me, it's simply easier and covers a large scope. Turn it down a notch and you have venting).
