As you know, hackers let viruses loose every April so that is why hackers and some computer nerds revere this as Virus Season. If an icon on your toolbar comes up saying it is a Windows Virus Cleaner then do not open it up and run it. If you remember the fake virus fiasco last year then this is basically what starts it. Windows has to have permission to put things into your computer such as anti-virus programs as a volunteer scan so please people do not run the damn thing.

Several of the computers in my animation class have viruses up the @$$ to where it's not even funny. One of the computers actually has 30 different kinds of viruses and on the last virus scan we gave it, it had scanned 15,093 infections. earlier in the year some jackass was using half of the computers to host a mass infection that crashed the school's network and kept it out of commission for two months. The internet could not be accessed for that time so the technicians could find the host computers and disable them before they could do anymore damage to the network. All internet rights for that class have been suspended for the remainder of the year and next year. and this was on December, so after winter break no internet for us.

Well the shitputer got 723 viruses in 5 minutes so I'm guessing the hacker has more than one computer. The shitputer is cleaned perfectly since we have spare hard drives.

Fixed for reality's sake.

 

Most stuff that can be downloaded free (not just porn) is riddled with viruses.

 

Music is the big one. Downloading free music is like actively trying to get a virus.

It comes in the form of an update. updating things such as browser will cause the fake program to be put up for selection. He's busy de-bugging the shitputer right now. Good thing it was the bad computer ;)

Most people think when they see something with "Windows" in it then it is LEGIT but that isn't always the truth.

 

Windows =/= Microsoft. Windows is the name, and if you've got ANY kind of knowledge it'd appear as by Microsoft (which Im sure has it's own measures to prove itself correct). Then according to you it appears on your toolbar, which ALL OF IT THERE HAS TO BE PLACED BY YOU (save for automated programs but those still need permission including the start-up ones).
