How close to death have you come?

 

I almost drowned. Twice. I suck at swimming and got caught in riptide waaaay out. The next time I walked out to the island at the beach (you can walk to it when the tide goes in) I went to the side facing the sea. I slipped on seaweed on the rocks and fell into the deep sea with waves above my head. I struggled to grab a hold of the rocks but they were all wet. Someone grabbed my hand and pulled me out. It was my friend. He looked scared. The tide was back in. We swam back to the beach where I got caught in riptide(i fell befor i got caught).

2x almost drowned

4x almost hit by speeding truck

attacked and mauled by deer

9x with a BHS attack similar to a Heart Attack but involves grief and the inability to get over it.

 

1. cannot swim

2. I walk to school and have to cross heavy traffic

3. Went hunting and dropped my rifle in the river

4. pretty much explained

Damn.

 

OT: I've never came close to death, (to my knowledge.)

Except for that time when I was a baby and I almost choked on an ice cube.

rarely do people die, I know that. My heart still doesn't function the same.

I was dropped as a baby.

 

As was I

 

as was the American president.

 

And the president before him

I think being dropped on your head as a baby is a prerequisite to taking office

And the president before him. I imagine Clinton said "Suck for a 1500 buck?"

Still I can see how it might induce stress on the heart and the brain causing it to work erratically but i cant see how you can actually die from it
