The Clown (try #2)

I took the advice I recieved from my first posting of this card and applied it, so here is the new and improved version of THE CLOWN.

Creepy image... Definitely the stuff of nightmares. But appropriate for a card with a name like that! So, I'm curious: Given its effect, you can't Summon it from your hand without the assistance of another card's effect(s)?

 

OCG is perfect except for the wording with "This card gains 500 ATK". That should be, "Increase this card's ATK by 500".

(Btw, question: Am I "throwing language in your face" by giving you an OCG correction?)

 

The effect is pretty simple and clear cut, and its ATK & DEF aren't absurd. Looks like a decent card in its own right, though I can't say how well it'd size up against more current cards.

Thank you. No you were not throwing language in my face. I actually like OCG corrections as long as they are specific. As to your first question, you are correct, I have several card's in my old DARK deck that allow me to special summon level 4 monsters from my hand. As to your last statement, with this card's effect, if there are enough dark monsters on the field, it could probably size up against any card.

I meant "size up against other cards" in the sense of their effects, not their ATK/DEF. I wouldn't doubt your card's ability to stand up against other monsters in terms of stats, given it can gain up to a +2000 ATK bonus (+2500 ATK bonus if the effect counts itself). Speaking of which, you should probably also specify on whether or not the effect includes "The Clown" also.

Actually, if the opponent also had dark monsters on the field, this card could gain up to +5000 ATK bonus. Usually when a card effect excludes the card itself, it usually puts into parenthesis, "Excluding This Card", so I did not feel it necessarry to put that it includes this card.
