Yankee
Hypothetical Situation: A member (let's call him "King bob") has been promoted to a moderator position. Too bad something like this won't work. It's simply too much work for people to do this day in and day out. They'd just find another site to go to. Discuss.[/quote'] Easy, increase staff as a primary thing. they will ban every IP by IP. Yes they will continue as proxy servers are as easy as finding porn. Although the secondary and last resort would be shutting down the site. A classmate of mine can name these sites and they are filled with trolls and flamers but the site still runs somehow. 4Chan for example is still running but yet unstable. A site can run unstable and be chaotic. It is the ability of the staff and non-violent members that are at fault though. It was their inability to ignore these people that started the chaos as well as what you could call the spoiled child. We will call this mob "The Spoiled Child" . The more attention you give it the more it will want and demand. If you give at least a minutes less of attention they will go nuts. If you continue to spoil it, "The Spoiled Child" will run your life/the site and make your life heaven(A Satanist's Irony). To summarize itIf this happens it is the fault of the staff and excluded members for their inability to ignore the problem Your possible responsethe site will get ruinedThey might crash the sitethey might de-doss the site My reponses1. Shut down the site2. You can fix it3. Get a damn spam filter for your e-mail your responses to Response #11. this place is great why shut it down? your responses to Response #2they will crash it a lot your response to Response #33. we have spam filtersMy response to #1It isn't when it's overrun My response to #2Get the internet police involved, there is a thing My response to #3I beg to differ their ability to filter
Mehmani
BTW, Ghost-O it is serious business to YCMaker, who earns $72,000 off it every year from ad revenue. Infinitus
Doubt it would happen. They would just leave. They have options, this isn't the only site in existance. They want a forum where their logic reigns, then I'm sure they could make a decently well put together forum where all people who have their views can be there, and be happy. However, we as the members of YCM, are the equivalent of minors. The mods, are the equivalent of the legal gaurdians/parents of the household of YCM. As long as you are here, you follow their rules, and you can't (more like shouldn't) complain, because you can roam wherever you wish in/on the internet. EDIT: Yes, it is a hypothetical situation, but, I am only saying what I think would happen. I do not take it seriously, and this posts intentions are casual.
