BehindTheMask
First let's define "disease" Disease- n- an impairment of health or a condition of abnormal functioning. (courtesy of Google). Now, I will prove why Love is a mental disease. If your brain has a disability that causes you to see and feel things that aren't there, then it deprives your brain the ability to see reality for what it really is. Now on top of this, if this is contagious, then you have a mental disease. Love is a disability that causes you to see and feel things that aren't there, and thus it deprives your brain the ability to see reality for what it really is. Now on top of this, it is contagious, thus it is a mental disease. EDIT: I give credit to Dendrophilian on Youtube for giving me this argument, although it was for a different topic. Amethyst Phoenix
Congratulations! You've effectively proven yourself an evil robot overlord type figure devoid of emotions that views any sort of love or attachment as a weakness! I'll enjoy laughing when the power of love and teamwork causes your plans to fail, your rule to end, and you to perish in a fiery explosion! =D I'll go put flowers on your grave once though, because your sig makes me smile. Also, love can inspire people to create great things. Thus I offer that it can act as a catalyst for imagination.
Guest JoshIcy
Don't care if it is or it isn't tbh. The rewards for having it far outweigh the downsides. Trolling or not, your post is a retarded attempt to capitalize on emotional stability or instability. Seeing as that's what it'd be capitalized as, a Mental Disability. But I doubt anyone, including yourself would care if it is or it isn't.

Dreaming, some psychologists would argue, helps you sort out subconscious thoughts you have. But I do agree with your second point.

I'm sure he'll agree to that, though I'm not entirely sure. In which case we'd all be diseased at some point in our life, as it is almost impossible to feel no emotions (though I don't doubt rare cases). However, this 'diseases' will not really have a negative impact on our life physically (aside from cause and effect) and therefore this really doesn't matter at all. Even the rare cases where Emotion could be considered absent, the people afflicted still show basic, albeit skewed emotions. Such as freaking out when things aren't done by a certain time and all that. Or getting bothered when the food doesn't look as good as they remember. It is IMPOSSIBLE to not show emotion in some form or another. This thread is fail from the start.
~/Coolio Prime\~
Wrong, it's a genetic trait. Attraction is subjective, so if we were following this logic holding any sort of opinion would be a "mental illness".
έκλειψη
This is a thread just waiting for people to flame. I don't care either way; I dislike being emotionally attached to people, be it by any emotion. Though my dislike for such could be considered an emotion, I presume. Either way, this will end up containing a flame war and getting locked. Let it begin.
Brushfire
So who's going to lock it? Only someone who can't take a debate would lock this thread... OH, I know who. Also, you don't like feeling any emotional attachment to anyone? Well, I try to act intelligent as much as possible but there's really only one saying for that... lolloser. έκλειψη
Yeah, I am. I'll admit to that. Never really been much of a ... Decent person. I like my loserness, though; I'm afraid success would bring too many complications, if I ever managed to grasp it.
Brushfire
You shouldn't be tbh. There will always be someone (whether that person be 'cool' or not) who will accept you for who you are. Dislike of positive emotions sounds to me like... fear of emotion, and that's never a good thing. I mean, I'll admit it, I'm a total loser but I still have lots of friends and sheet. Why? Because you can be a nerd, but still be a nice person and be liked by people. Being a 'decent person' really comes down to you and only you in the end, and only can achieve that once you realise it. I don't know you, so there's nothing I can really say that relates to you properly other than assumptions. Either way, surely it isn't success you should be afraid of but not succeeding? It may bring complications but they would be worth it, the happiness you end up feeling through not only yourself feeling those emotions, but it being mutual, is always worth it in the end. I dunno, I'm a little confused as it's always been regret and fear of rejection that I've known rather than success being my weakness so there's not all that much I can say. Just... try and take at least a little of what I've said in and try and convince yourself that you aren't that much of a loser and you are a decent person. /optimism
