A card I made:

Effect: When this card is Normal Summoned, it is changed to Defense Position. This card cannot be targeted by the effects of Spell, Trap, or Monster Card effects. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can gain 200 Life Points for each card in your opponent's hand. If this card is in face-up Defense Position during your opponent's Standby Phase, your opponent can either draw or discard 1 card. This card's controller must discard 1 card during each of their End Phases. If they cannot, destroy this card. This card is removed from play when it is removed from the field.

i'd love to know where HP Doom gets some of these images. they almost look like card images. oh well. OCG seems pretty solid. The effect does seem to give quite a lot compared to it's drawbacks however i still dont think its OPd. unsure about this 1. 7/10

So do you think it's OP'ed or UP'ed?

And if so, any sugeestions on how to change the effect?

This card is deadly with Graveyard Deck or a Deck that focus on Special-Summon-by-removing-cards-in Graveyard-from-play. But this card is also good with other Deck because of high DEF and LP bonuses (Stalling Deck perhaps?). This card is OP imo, even though you gives a drawback.

Alright, Wow^^, I think your Rating this card on pure stats. hah.

@fayaz. Ok, your card is actually pretty decent, it could be Op'd in some situations, but could help your opponent in others, Such as if there running a LS or DAD deck. But good card overall 8/10

I'll try to break it down your effect advantage or disadvantage:

 

Magical Power Guardian

When this card is Normal Summoned, it is changed to Defense Position.

Because it doesn't have to be Set, this card can activated it's 'once per turn' effect immediately. Great for a rush play. (+1)

 

This card cannot be targeted by the effects of Spell, Trap, or Monster Card effects.

This card is almost immortal in a field, because it can only be destroyed by battle or a Spell/Trap Card that target a whole field (Black Hole or Raigeki kind of Spell/Trap), you can stall your opponent with this effect also. (+3)

 

Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can gain 200 Life Points for each card in your opponent's hand.

I like it when you stated 'you can.' It mean that you can choose to activated this effect. It gives you a complete card control. Useful for a rare occasion when the opponent use a continuous Spell/Trap that gives penalty to activated card's effect. (+1)

 

If this card is in face-up Defense Position during your opponent's Standby Phase, your opponent can either draw or discard 1 card.

This is a massive drawback imo. Giving an opponent to draw additional card is also giving an additional option for your opponent to win the Duel. And the discard option is also deadly to a Graveyard/DARK Deck. (-2)

 

This card's controller must discard 1 card during each of their End Phases. If they cannot, destroy this card.

Discard option can bring you the advantage, so i'm not sure that is a drawback. (+1)

 

This card is removed from play when it is removed from the field.

The removed from play IS a major drawback. You can't bring it back to the field, it only mean you must take good care of this card if you manage to Summon it on the field. (-2)

 

Total: 1+3+1-2+1-2 = 6-4 = +2

 

A +2 Monster Card, not bad. I will raise my score for you.

You must discard.

It could either work well, bringing an advantage or it could bring you a disadvantage.

If there is nothing to discard then the card is destroyed(in this case removed from play).

So it actually depends if it's an advantage or a disadvantage.

It seemed more of a drawback to me but in some combos it could work well. I guess it could be +0 or -1 as well.

It was all depend on the type of Deck we run. Maybe the correct score is 0 (zero), because it can bring advantage or a disadvantage.

 

@Fayaz: There are no +0. If +0 is exist, then -0 must also be exist. Just plain 0 is cool. :)

Also Card has been edited a bit with an advanced holo made a gold rare.
