Get out of this thread you fail. Before I lmgtfy your ass. Heck, I cba to even do that.

 

You guys do know, that even if a new firmware update comes out, you don't have to upgrade, right? Just leave it at the old jailbreak.

 

Jailbreaks _exist_ for 3.1.3, but most of them are unstable in some form or another, whether large or small. My friend is using one of the unstable jailbreaks for 3.1.3., and is not having any problems so far. Could be just a case-by-case basis. Just wait for blacksn0w to come out for it if you don't mind waiting.

 

But in all honestly, I don't think 3.1.3 has anything apart from its own built-in SBSettings clone app thing. I think I'll just stay with my 3.1.2., thanks.

I'm soooo scared to jailbreak mine >.<

 

Just backup your music, videos, apps, etc, and then jailbreak it. If it fails or something (power suddenly fails, etc) then DFU mode it and try again.

 

Also, this works on all iDevices and all firmwares (excluding 4.0.)

blacksn0w did not need to reformat the HDD in the iPhone 3.1.2. Other jailbreak methods may still need to do so.

 

And why not jailbreak your iTouch? Pirate every app you can get =\. You can pretty much get anything you like all over the Internet now.

 

If it's 3.1.2., jailbreak it with blacksn0w. If it's 3.1.3., feel free to try the unstable ones, or Google for a way to downgrade back to 3.1.2. before jailbreaking with blacksn0w.

I'ma give an edumacted guess.....

 

A special mode in the device that bypasses the loading of the operating system for recovery purposes; in this mode, the screen of the device is blank.

 

Your iPhone/iPad/iPod CANNOT brick unless it's damage is physical.

 

* Attach the phone to the pc

* Turn the phone off

* Hold power and home together for *exactly* 10 seconds

* Release power but keep holding home until the pc beeps as a USB device is recognized.

* At no point will the display come on. Now your restore should work.

 

Having problems? Try adjusting the 10 seconds to be slightly less like 9 seconds, then 8, then 7. It’s a tricky timing but you will eventually get it.

 

Correct me on it if I'm wrong.

Seriously that's like going into MacDonald and buying a medium drink then after that they show her the large one and she buys that too.

Why can't you just degrade it to 3.0.0 and jailbreak it with redsn0w? That's what I did.

 

Only downturn is that I can't play GTA Chinatown Wars. >_>
