[align=center]Well here are the latest entries to my "Legends of the Abyss" Set.

Giant Crab Dragon

This card is also treated as an Aqua-Type monster. While you control a face-up "Umi" this card cannot be destroyed by battle. (Damage calculation is applied normally.) Once per turn, you can send 2 cards you control to the Graveyard. If you do, this card can attack directly during your Battle Phase.

Well I have noticed that the "Umi" archtype has been rather neglected by Konami (no I haven't forgotten WOA). So I made a new member of the "Umi" archtype myself. And the pic was just so good I just had to make a card out of it.

Select 1 Level 7 or higher Beast-Type monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. Its ATK and DEK become 0, cannot attack and cannot change its battle position. A monster Special Summoned by this card has its effect negated.

No real comment on this card. I gues you can use it in your benefit, but don't ask me how. Pic is just epic imo.

Giant Crab Dragon

This card is also treated as a Aqua-Type monster. While you control a face-up "Umi" this card cannot be destroyed by battle. (Damage calculation is applied normally.) First of, good work on the stats. Since all "Umi" Decks require "A.L.O." out to actually be competitive, you've kept the stats within the boundaries of Level 6 Effect Monsters. Truth be told, a little more DEF would not be a bad thing, considering it is normally a two-tribute monster.

As for the effect; two things. First, I think you should have to Tribute 1 monster as at least one of the cards you destroy to activate this card's effect or stop other cards you control from attacking. For example; you could have "Umi" on the field and another in your hand, along with a not-useful-at-the-time Spell/Trap. Set the Trap then blow it and "Umi" up to deal your opponent 2400 points of damage before activating the "Umi" in your hand. In a dedicated "A.L.O." Deck, you will have a good number of Field Spells to replace any you lose, be that by your opponent's effects or your own.

Second, you need to include "Umi" more in the effect. Yes, the other "Umi" monsters only have one effect that only activates when "Umi" is on the field, but this could be seen as a Supporting Trump Card in the Deck (like "A.G. Golem" in a Geartown Turbo Deck: Not the ultimate monster, but still good). As such, I would give it a second effect that requires "Umi"'s destruction (think "Codarus" and "Ocean Lord Daedalus"), because if this were real, you'd have it as "Daedalus"' back-up if you couldn't summon it. As it stands, it seems more 'related' than part of the archetype.

Select 1 Level 7 or higher Beast-Type monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. Its ATK and DEK become 0, cannot attack and cannot change its battle position.

Seeing this instantly reminded me of "Descending Lost Star", a Trap with a similar effect. This card should be a Trap Card, since all Spell Cards that summon from the Graveyard ("Premature Burial" and "Monster Reborn" for example) have been banned because they give easy Tribute fodder or in some cases Spell/Trap activation fuel.

However, there is one big difference between this card and "Descending Lost Star". "D.L.S." negates the summoned monster's effect, while this doesn't. Now while that normally wouldn't be a problem, there is a specific problem with Beast Decks (and a few other Type-Specific Decks) that (as both a Spell and a Trap, but especially a Spell) makes it overpowered.

Most of the Beast-Type trump monsters have swarming effects ("Green Baboon" and "Mosaic Manticore") but two Level 7 or above Beast-Types could easily abuse this card. "Zeman the Ape King" can negate any attack your opponent throws at it, while the primary use of this card would be the re-summoning of "Earthbound Immortal Cusillu". Despite not having any ATK and DEF due to this card, its effect stops it from being attacked and being able to halve your opponent's Life Points.

What I would do is have it Summoned in face-up Defense Position with 0 ATK/DEF but with its effect negated.

Thanks to all for your comment.

@Max: About Crab Dragon: Yes it could use some more DEF, and I'll probebly give it some more. I was thinking about a "Umi" remove effect, but I noticed that the Deadolus's are the only ones who actually remove it from the field. And this card hardly resembles a Deadolus, so it seemed to me that I wasn't the person that should break this tradition.

About Fossil: I forgot all about the effects of those cards, I'll probebly give it the negate effect as you recomended. But I'll probebly just keep it as a Spell, mainly becouse it looks better this way imo.
