A look on the meta after The Shining Darkness.

Recommended Posts

Tier 2 is definite. They also have a grudge against LIGHT and DARK decks because they are not LIGHT or DARK (they do run a few DARKS though) so they can side in L-IM and S-IM. They can just side in all the anti-meta cards except for Skill Drain.

I thought X-Sabers were going to be top too? i guess i was wrong.

At the moment, they are too expensive for them to be represented in a large number due to emmersblade's price. Also, the deck you get for what you pay isn't really appealing. You'd probably do better with solid gadgets and it costs less than an emmersblade. Another problem with the deck is gottom's emergency call, while being insane for the deck it also counters them pretty hard.

I guess you could list it as a bottom tier.

As for plants, now that the deck isn't vulnerable to d.d. crow it greatly improved it's game post side deck. It's incredibly hard to stop the combo, you need something like TTP, oppression or necrovalley really and it can easily be dealt with some S/T removal. If you can't do that you'll need to stop the OTK with threatning roar or battle fader and then face an army of synchro.

Prize shouldn't affect tier status. If the deck is good' date=' good players will buy it and top with it. TeleDAD was 1000$+ but it was winning everything.

Gigavise is still a joke.

Gigavise is just like Machina Gadgets great on paper terrible when using IRL

Infernities cost a lot too, but they're tier 1.

GigaVise is no joke. I use it IRL and just spam synchros almost every time. I have even created my own OTK, I call it the PowerPlant OTK, which basically consits of searching out your deck for your equip spells (you run Supervise, MotR and DDR) with X3 Power Tool, and no matter which you get, you can easily beatdown your opponent for more than 8000.

Machina Gadgets dominate regionals.

Lolcals don't count. Take it to a regional and go x-3.

Our locals are pretty tough though... We split ours into pros and ameteurs, pros duel each other, ameteurs duel each other. Even in the ameterus, it isn't really ameteur, last format, people were running pro DivaZombies and LS and BW in the ameteurs, I dread to think what the pros are like... My point is though, in my locals, I top 16d with a plant deck without Supervise, Copy plant or Nettles, so that proves plants are good. GigaVise could top 8 at least (I have seen them top 4 before).

Lolcals still don't count. And running LS doesn't automatically make you good.

Want to know some names from my locals:

karim ahamjik

james neumann

justin dizzazo

yannick dubeau

nicky lacaille

brian ortiz

bobby barone

ali yassine

cedric sequerra

matthew slawvey

I pretty much have one of the hardest local tournament in the world all of these players play meta decks so the info I get from the locals are pretty good.

As for X-sabers they could be middle tier I heard they're doing ok in Europe.

Before I read the reasoning for the 2 card plant OTK' date=' I thought you were talking about all-out-attacks and cactus fighter >____<

[b']Anyways, Lonefire shoud be @0 or 1....[/b]

That would totally ruin Plant decks, Konami won't do that. 2 is fine.
