When this card is Summoned, destroy all other monsters on the field. This card cannot be destroyed by card effects, except of its own. When this card attacks 3 times, destroy this card and add 1 "Sankara, Protector of the Light Brigade" to your hand. When this card has 3 Light Brigade Counters on it, destroy this card and put the counters on a Monster they can be put on. This card can only be used for a Synchro Summon of a "Light Brigade" Monster. [spoiler=Freya, Apprentice of the Light Brigade]Lore:This Card can only be Special Summoned by the Effect of a "Light Brigade" monster.If this card is Normal Summoned, change it to Defense Position. When this Card is Special Summoned, you can send 1 "Light Brigade" Monster from your Deck to your Graveyard to increase the Level of a "Light Brigade" Monster you control by 1. [spoiler=Larissa, Assistant of the Light Brigade]Lore:When this card is Normal Summoned, you can decrease the Level of a face-up "Light Brigade" monster you control by 1. This card can only be used for a Synchro Summon of a "Light Brigade" Synchro Monster. [spoiler=Sankara, Protector of the Light Brigade]Lore:When an opponent's Monster attacks you directly, you can discard this card to negate the attack and add 1 "Light Brigade" monster from your Graveyard to your hand. Parion555 Posted May 7, 2010 Report Share Posted May 7, 2010 Hey Light Master what's up?You're on the computer as well ha?Well it seems you have completed a big part of your first Set.But let's get back to Topic.The set is pretty good if you ask me.The first one(the King better said)would look overpowered if it wasn't a constant Solemn Judgment and it gets destroyed after 3 Attacks so i guess it's balanced enough.The Synchro Monsters are surely concentrated on Summoning more of themselves on the Field so the King can come out for a Quick Finish. The Effect Monsters are interesting because most of them seem to also concentrate on Summoning the Synchro Monsters except the 2 Stronger Monsters who concentrate on Supporting themselves.As for the Spells and Traps they are as i see a lot used for Protection or Destruction and some for Gaining Counters and adding Attack.However i am pretty sure that this Set is based around Summoning the King.But however it's a great set bringing your Score to 10/10.It really seems like you worked hard on it. pipipa Posted May 9, 2010 Report Share Posted May 9, 2010 I can see the effort put into the set. So I don't want to be too critical with the review. Firstly your key card. The king. there are some OCG errors but I understand the card perfectly, and IMO that's the main thing. I believe it is balanced to an extent, because of the summoning conditions. I like the effect, but I don't think "When this card is selected as an attack target, you can discard 1 "Light Brigade" monster from your hand to destroy the attacking monster." is really needed, I don't know who would want to attack a 4000 ATK and DEF monster as it is rare to see a monster peak that high. However if you do want that effect, maybe you should consider lowering the DEF to about 2500, so if an opponent changes it to DEF position, you could utilize that effect. The picture confused me at first, because I looked firstly towards the girl in the picture, and I was thinking "King? O,O" but then I saw the bigger one. After seeing the Kings effect I dont really know why and who that girl is in the picture, you obviously struggled to find a good one. Now the Synchros, "Frayda, Ultimate Queen of the Light Brigade" is missing some of its card lore, so I had a hard time gathering the effects, but I know most of them are to do with the counters and the Special summoning of the other Synchros. However I think it looks a bit hard to do, so I'd consider tweaking the effect, because if you want to add a key card into a MAIN deck, you want to make sure it's USABLE, not just a dead draw. You have many effect monsters so I'll make this brief, your Warrior of the Light Brigade is missing a name, unless you want to make him mysterious as that matches the Picture. But I do find him VERY UPed. When this Card is selected as an attack target, Decrease this card's ATK equal to the Level of the attacking monster X500. if your opponent has 3 of ur LIGHT monsters on their side of the field, thats at least 3000 attack, so if a level 4 monster, that usually has 1700+ ATK, attacks ur Warrior, your warrior is already down to 1000 ATK. Making it more of a one turn card. If I were you I'd lower the attack loss to about 300 the most. Also, ? ATK and ? DEF is used for monsters that gain attack ONE TIME ONLY, and then that time they gain the attack, it becomes their ORIGINAL attack. If Warrior's attack keeps fluctuating because of the monsters on ur opponents side of the field and selected as an attack target, then I suggest making his original ATK 0 and DEF 0. After having a look at the rest of your effect monsters, I noticed the lack of strong ones that can be normal summoned, and I noticed in some of ur other effects, they allow you to normal summon Level 4 or unders. One monster did stand out to me though, in a slightly OPed way. "Sankara, Protector of the Light Brigade". This slightly Kuriboh inspired Light Brigade monster is OPed IMO because it states you can add, after the card was discarded to the graveyard, a LB(lightbrigade) monster back to ur hand. But using this logic you could bring back Sankara, and continuously abuse her effect, in ANY deck, not just LB. So I'd change Sankara to state that "Add a "Light Brigade" monster to your hand, except "Sankara, Protector of the Light Brigade"" or something along those lines. A true kings arrival- I love the name, and actually quite astonished that you didnt use the words LIGHT BRIGADE in the card name, because personally I think it's overused. It's alright to use it for all of your monsters, however when it gets towards Spell and trap cards, it seems a little Overused(for example some of ur other Spells/traps) Look at the Lightsworn Archetype, (I'm sure you have since you must of got the inspiration from this set from their staple card "Charge of the LIGHT BRIGADE") not all of the spells and traps have Lightsworn in it, and that's mainly because they don't need to, as that archetype and so do yours, only deal with monsters with Light____ in a MONSTER name, not a spell or trap. With ur Field spell, read the effect, how is the card meant to GAIN any counters if when its activated, it gains maximum 5, and the effect only allows you to remove the counters, meaning you could never use its last effect, because it cannot gain 10 in the first place. I like sword of the light brigade, a good basic effect, doesn't really support the archetype but I guess not all cards can be. OCG errors in Ultimate power of the LB, and makes it a little hard to understand. it seems a little UPed considering the LP loss, so what i would do to change it is something like this"This card can only be activated during the battle phase while you control a "Light Brigade" monster. Double the ATK of the selected monster.. and so forth" Being able to use it in ur opponents turn makes it useful as a Quick-play spell card. Barrier of the LB sounds a bit OPed, mainly because all you have to have is an LB monster on ur side of the field, you are not tributing it or letting ur opponent gain anything from destroying their card. So I'd add something in there to balance it out. Key of the LB seems pointless, the only monsters that can be special summoned outside of their effects are like level 3 or below, I'd personally rather normal summon them than discard 2 valuble spell and trap cards and wait a whole turn for the Special summon, but I suppose this leaves it open if you were to add any more LB effect monsters of a higher level. Also it says its a continuous trap card, but why? It could easily just be a normal. If I were you I'd level out the effect, (for example, removing 2 LB counters by activating the card instead, this includes the archetype). And last but not least, reflection of the LB, to be honest I'm really worn out from writing this essay on ur set that I can't see many faults, just be sure to add more LB monsters to widen the range of monsters someone could select. Overall, this set is amazing, and hopefully if you listen to the tweaks I've suggested, I hope you can improve it even more. The pictures are perfect for the monstereffect/spell or trap effect. And I apologize for anything that doesnt make sense in this post, I can't be bothered to preview it and iron out any typos. I just wish someone would comment on my cards as I've commented on yours. Actually, I'd appreciate any comments so anyone reading please do. LOL, i forgot to even give a rating. As they stand 7/10. And I'm only being harsh because there are things that you could easily change.
