Food preparation fails

I was once making a fruit salad because we had made one in school, but I ate that in school because my teacher said she would have to throw it in the bin if I didn't so my brother demanded I make him one. Grabbed a knife started to chop an apple. Was being careless. It made a 2cm slit on the outer side of my left thumb. I only cut pears now because of that.
