Jeroukoo
Since I fail at making sense of this, I'll try this in the simplest form i can think of.When people do this:(Actions)"Dialouge"(Actions)It is a little hard to read. Maybe doing this:(4 lines of Actions)"Dialouge"(Actions)"Dialouge"Would make things easier to read. Example of new rule below, I will bold where the new rule is taking place in the 2nd spoiler.[spoiler=Example]As Smith put his gun down, he walked slowly to the body he just shot. It definitely was a zombie, but it looked different. Instead of the regular shade of green skin a zombie had, this one had a yellow skin color. A new type of zombie would be highly implausible unless... Smith shook his head at the thought. No human being could capture enough zombies to make a new breed. The thought of it made Smith laugh a little. And to what purpose would the new breed serve. To kill more humans? As Smith chuckled softly he walked to pick up his gun. It was no longer there. "Funny, I thought I put that thing right on the table..." There was a screech that came from the other side of the room. Smith covered his ears as the noise pierce his eardrums and looked over at the source of the noise. In front of him was a human. A human with half of his face ripped off. It walked closer to Smith and the screech gradually stopped with each step. There was silence for a moment, and then then the newcomer broke it. "This place is not for humans, get out before the rest of them get to you." Smith stood there baffled at the thing. He was surprised that it could talk. "Leave! The screech will only keep the rest of them down for a couple minutes!" The thing had an urgent tone in his voice. "Why do you want to help me? Aren't you a zombie too?" Smith looked deeply into the things eyes. "I have a mind, I can talk. Do you think I'm a zombie?" "Then how did you end up here?" The thing looked away from Smith. "You will know in due time. Leave." The house groaned as if thousands of zombies were waking up. The thing shot another screech and the groaning stopped. There was more silence and Smith nodded his head. "Thank you." And with that he was off. [spoiler=With new rule]As Smith put his gun down, he walked slowly to the body he just shot. It definitely was a zombie, but it looked different. Maybe ~JG~ can help you a little...No' date=' what he means is that some people loop through the 4-line-rule by making new lines of text, even if teh previous one isn't done. Common method of doing this is hitting "Enter". So what he suggests is that it has to be 4 lines before pressing "Enter" however many times you desire. DARKPLANT RISING
You have to explain in a manner the normal human would understand, otherwise this comment becomes useless data.
Windowlicker
Forum editing? Isn't that only available for admins? :/
JG.
Forum editing. There is nothing of that name. Not unless you are an Admin.
RAEGING D0GKING
I don't think that "Fourm" is a word. And I don't understand anything you just said. :/
Twig
It has something to do with editing in the RP section I think... I can't understand what this guy is suggesting though...

CrabHelmet
As I'm reading it, your proposed suggestion is to prevent people from starting a new paragraph until they've finished three complete lines of text. This is intended to solve the problem of people never starting new paragraphs (by imposing restrictions preventing the creation of new paragraphs in some circumstances and doing nothing to encourage creating new paragraphs in others) and completely flies in the face of normal writing conventions. Either I am reading your suggestion correctly and it makes no sense whatsoever or I am reading your suggestion incorrectly and you have after two attempts still failed to articulate your intended message. Both options lead only to the conclusion that you're a moron.

//Zeromaru//
Yeh theres already a rule against that...
Jeroukoo
Yes, I know. People do it so they fit 4 lines. I like entering new lines but I really hate shortpost. So with this new rule, they post 4 lines and they can enter every new line of dialogue.
//Zeromaru//
That would kill Rinne with the work load... And then Shadius would have to actually work in the section so it would kill him... and then the next mod and the next... But I guess the first question we have to ask is... is it viable. I would say no. Like I said its too hard to police, and there is enough opposition to ADV so giving a new rule about what you're allowed/ forced to post would cause even more uproar. Guest PikaPerson01
I get what you mean. I typically make it a point to make my RP posts as comprehensible and easy to read as I can for the other RPers. It's called "not being a jackass to your fellow players". A line of text with one solid action. Another line of text for a different action. Dialogue. If it takes you two sentences to open a door, that's how long you type before you hit enter. If it takes one sentence to open a door, one sentence. Enter. New line. If you look back and your RP looks terrible, fix it. Not difficult. However, making this a mandatory rule just sounds needless. Let the individual RP starters decide if the "easier to read" rule should apply to their RP when they start, just like when the RP starter decides whether or not to do the advanced clause or not. A happy/unstressed mod is a good mod.
Guest War Torn
An idea that I have been using in RPs since I started. Makes the post more creative and easier to build on. Some people, however, don't want to take the time to do all that. So I say no unless I find a reason to say yes.
Windowlicker
Eh, perhaps it could be enforced more as a guideline, rather than a strict rule that you have to oblige by.

bury the year
http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/thread-67507.html There's a thread for this kind of stuff. And I'm gonna have to shoot this idea down, mainly because it should be up to the poster to use their common sense to figure out the equivalent of 4 lines of text. Way to start out on a good foot. For some reason unbeknownst to him, Bob Smith could never be on time when it really mattered. “Really mattered,” in this case, was always subjective, and always seemed to be in the worst possible opportunities. For example, he was always first in the classroom when there was a pop quiz. Not necessarily a bad thing, because that gave him some extra time to study, and he could sometimes use it. However, on the first time he was going to attend a real fancy... That, my friends, is an actual RP post I made a few days ago, the only change being the name edited. In this case, it's been cut for length to display as 4 unbroken lines of text on standard YCM formatting. Plugging that into an online word counter pops out as 91 words. Therefore, if you've typed around 100 words for an RP post, no matter how you format it, it's acceptable. I'll edit that little point into the rules threads, but this suggestion itself won't be implemented due to difficulty in making it actually work. (And for the record, my RP posts usually span 400-500 words.)
