M-Cube
It's a question I've been thinking about for a long time. But I've never gotten an answer. Dig out some of your oldest Yu-Gi-Oh cards. You'll notice that some say Magic Card, and some say Spell Card. Why was this changed?
BehindTheMask
Magic the Gathering was gonna sue. They changed it to Spell to avoid a lawsuit.
M-Cube
That's what I thought at first, but I wasn't sure. Thanks!
Great Unclean One: VK
Next time use the question thread. For now, this topic is about the use of Spell cards overall.
Canadian
VK-Duelist uses Topic Change. It's Super Effective. Anyways, Most Spell Cards now adays are only used if they can get obscenely used Advantages at rather quick speeds. Most decks are about 20-25 Monsters, 10-15 Spells, and 5-8 Traps. They also have alot of great filler cards and supports that single handedly make archtypes fun. (Rekindling ftw).
TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
Spell cards are the peanut-butter to a peanut-butter and jelly sandwich. They hold the deck together.
werewolfjedi
spells are the real game winners, as they increase consistentcy in decks, and always have decently powerful effects in relation to their requirements.

Guest Delinquent Girl NiAtSoFi
Not all Spell Cards are really spells. Look at Machine Dupe. There's no magic in mass-producing machines. That's false advertisement. Screw you, Konami.

What about final destiny? what about it? it by itself wins the game over time, and will make the opponent rush, and likely overextend, and if your playing final countdown, you can keep defensive.
