Max Darkness
Just me playing around with pictures found on Pixiv, now turning into a remake thread... Cards that have official art have it because I can't find any good fan-art of the monsters. Enjoy. Gate Guardian Thunder, wind and water; combine to pass judgement on the world. May the storms bring forth the creator! Arise Susanoo's warrior, Gate Guardian! Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by Tributing "Sanga of the Thunder", "Kazejin" and "Suijin". This card cannot be attacked by Level 5 or lower monsters. This card inflicts Piercing Damage and any Piercing Damage this card's controller recieves is reduced to 0. You can only activate this card's effect during your opponent's damage calculation. Make the ATK of a monster attacking this card 0 during damage calculation. This effect can only be used once as long as this card remains face-up on the field. If this card would be removed from the field by a card effect, you can remove from play 1 "Sanga of the Thunder", "Kazejin" or "Suijin" in your Graveyard to negate that effect and destroy that card. Sanga of the Thunder, Kazejin and Suijin The ancestors of the "Reactor" monsters, now actually playable due to flexible Summoning Conditions. Effects: You can only activate this card's effect during your opponent's damage calculation. Make the ATK of a monster attacking this card 0 during damage calculation. This effect can only be used once as long as this card remains face-up on the field. You can Normal Summon or Set this card with any number of Tributes. This card gains the following effects depending on the number of Tributes: - 0: This card's original ATK and DEF are halved. - 1: If this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase. - 2: (Sanga) When this card is Tribute Summoned, destroy 1 monster on the field. (Kazejin) When this card is Tribute Summoned, return 1 card on the field to the top of its owner's Deck.(Suijin)When this card is Tribute Summoned, destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field. Titanium Skorpius An often-overlooked card, "Needle Burrower" can inflict huge amounts of damage if used correctly. This is basically a larger, more armoured form, which can now defend itself. Effect: If this card is targeted by a Spell or Trap Card effect, except during the Battle Phase, you can remove from play 1 DARK Machine-Type monster in your hand to negate the effect and destroy that card. When this card destroys a monster and sends it to the Graveyard as a result of battle, inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the Level of the destroyed monster x 500 points. When this card is destroyed by battle, Special Summon 1 "KA-2 Des Scissors" or "Needle Burrower" from your hand or Graveyard in face-up Defense Position. Skull Guardian A forgotten card really. One of the not-terrible early Rituals due to relatively good DEF, but I always think that cards like this deserve effects. So here you go. Effect: This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card "Novox's Prayer". If this card attacks while in Attack Position and destroys a monster by battle, discard 1 random card from your opponent's hand. While this card is in face-up Defense Position, if your opponent attacks a different Warrior-Type monster you control, you can switch the attack target to this card. If you do, any Battle Damage this card inflicts to your opponent is reduced to 0. This card can attack while it is in Defense Position. If this card attacks while in Defense Position, apply the ATK of this card for damage calculation.
Lord Smeagle
You just made Gate Guardian ALMOST worth playing. ALMOST. And even for that, you deserve 10/10. Titanium Skorpios is...a big Needle Burrower with protection. Kinda cool. 9.5/10.
Max Darkness
Thanks Smeagle. Any other comments, people?
Guest War Torn
Well, I've seen Gate Guardian in the original yugioh. Great card and its nice to see someone take time to make a lost card. 10/10 The second card is an odd card. A card with equal ATK and DEF. That is rare and I admire that. 10/
T3RA PROWL3R
Now you gotta improve the 3 GG pieces so they are easier to play.
Max Darkness
I suppose they would look like this: (I apologise for the poor picture, but I can't find any fan art of the pieces of "Gate Guardian") Effect: You can only activate this card's effect during your opponent's damage calculation. - 2: When this card is Tribute Summoned, destroy 1 card on the field. Guest War Torn
The new card is an intresting card. It makes the user wait in order to use its more powerful effect. 10/
metalflygon08
what would make it epic, would be my old cards, Call of the Siren, Thunder Armour, and Wind Bloack (each SS's a token whose name is treated as it's respective GG peice)
Lexadin
You made GG non-UP! That's quite an archivement. A 10/10 for that card. And you supported The "Needle Burrowers" and I like that thought.A 9.3/
Max Darkness
"Sanga of the Thunder" added to first post, along with "Kazejin", "Suijin" and the old Ritual "Skull Guardian". This is turning into a remake thread. Nice.
Necro Pheonix
Well, I would say Gate Guardians effect seems OP, but it's gate guardian, so it's supposed to have a natural aura of op. As for the 3 parts, teh only thing I would change is to make the effect for 1 tribute add something along the lines of they cannot change their battle position until your next end phase after its in Defence Position. The other 2 cards are extremely well done, and I have nothing to change on them.
Max Darkness
Well' date=' I would say Gate Guardians effect seems OP, but it's gate guardian, so it's supposed to have a natural aura of op. [/quote'] You have to Tribute 3 Level 7s to Summon it. Compared to "Flying Fortress SKY FIRE" ("Gate Guardian"'s descendant), whose materials are Levels 3 through 5, they are harder to get on the field and more costly to summon. It needs to be that powerful to justify summoning it. As for the 3 parts' date=' teh only thing I would change is to make the effect for 1 tribute add something along the lines of they cannot change their battle position until your next end phase after its in Defence Position.[/quote'] You're right. I originally justified it as you are still Tributing, compared to "Goblin Attack Force", but this does have sizeable DEF, not 0. I'll change that soon. The other 2 cards are extremely well done' date=' and I have nothing to change on them.[/quote'] Thanks.
