"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. You would resort to aggression against me, Zenosuke-chan? Don't tell me you've forgotten about the Council of Six?" the mummy started, ignoring Shado's remarks.

 

Another mummy figured appeared right behind Zenosuke, and another near the demon doors. After a while, the entire hideout was being infested by the mummy's afterimages. They were all laughing mistily, the deathly tone echoing all around them. Also, a black mist started to leak out of the bandages around the mummy figure.

 

Zeonsuke stood his ground, his body seemed quivering with unknown emotions when he heard about the Council of Six. From an observer's point of view, it seemed vague. What did the mummy meant when he mentioned the Council of Six? What is the Council of Six? These would be the thing that enters the mind of a casual observer.

 

"You. Impossible. I've destroyed the council!" Zenosuke shouted, releasing a number of chains towards the mummies around him, obliterating them. As he strike one down, it blurs out, and reappears on the spot. No matter how many he struck down, they just reappeared.

 

"Zenosuke-chan, you should know the power of the Council. WE are reborn," the mummy let out another series of spine-chilling laughter, "And unlike you, who's chasing a bland legend, we aim to control the power of the Five Great Nations. But you see, its not that simple. The council needs something from you. You have the Akatsuki, one of the craftiest group of people, not to mention ruthless, currently in existence."

 

"Why would the Council think I'd help them?" Zenosuke said in a very annoyed tone.

 

"Because if you don't, you can say goodbye to your Rinnegan, and your little organization of outlaws. As we speak, the Five Kages are heading on a meeting in the Land of Iron. Once your little informant in Amegakure comes back, the Council wants you to infiltrate the meeting and kill the Kages. Its up to you if you want to send a rag-tag team of these outlaws or you do it yourself." the mummy said in his most deadly, and misty tone.

 

"Don't be deluded. The Council cannot scare me anymore. I," Zenosuke's removed his blinders around his eyes, revealing a pair of glowing red eyes, "Have transcended my humanity!"

 

Zenosuke then palmed the ground, producing a minor quake. Suddenly, chains erupted from right underneath the mummy afterimage on the far side of the hideout, hiding among the shadows. The chains wrapped immediately around the mummy's neck, then around the limbs, preventing anymore movement. In an instant, the afterimages all vanished, with only the mummy wrapped in chains present.

 

"You honestly think you'd get away? Nothing can hide from my eyes, and nothing can break my judgement chains. You are trash," Zenosuke looked towards Shado, "Shado, trashes must be disposed of. Eliminate this one. I grow tired of his existence."

Shuuhei ran towards Sen, grabbing her by wrist before she completely fell down towards the cold ground. He immediately laid her down gently, sheathing his katana. From underneath his blinders, his eyes were looking rather guilty. He knew that using Byakko's Cleansing Wind was not the best move, but it was the only thing he has to calm down his comrade. He retrieved something from his satchel, a balm of sort. He spread the contents on Sen's wrists, ankle, forehead, and finally, over the base of her neck. The balm has a unique soothing and healing effect, but it was not fast acting.

 

"Bravo! That was magnificent, Shuuhei-san. You ruthlessly knocked uncon---" Gyosei started but didn't finished his statement when something hard has hit his chin with such force that had he not had a strong jaw, he would've lost his lower jaw to fractures. He immediately landed on his back, then rolling back to standing position.

 

"You better have good information, you bastard." Shuuhei remarked, looking extremely angry. His knee was also smoking, suggesting that he used a rising knee strike to hit Gyosei.

 

Gyosei wobbly stood up straight, heading towards a wall. He placed a hand on the wall for support, his body still quivering from the hit he just took. Never has he anticipated such an opponent, but he wasn't entirely prepared. He snapped his fingers, and 11 samurais automatically appeared around him, ready to guard their boss.

 

"You shouldn't underestimate me, Akatsuki. Now, Kill him!" Gyosei shouted.

 

11 Samurais suddenly charged at Shuuhei, clearly aiming to kill him. The Akatsuki didn't looked too worried as he drew out his lightning charged Katana. Because of the lightning it has absorbed from Sen earlier, Kaminari Ken was sizzling with excessive force. Shuuhei immediately charged towards the nearest samurai, evading a vertical sword attack, and countering with his own signature rising knee towards the attacker's chest. He then spun around, swinging his sword gracefully from front to back, then to front again, hitting nearby attackers, and shocking them with lightning, regardless if they blocked with their chakra blade.

 

"W-w-what are you?" Gyosei stammered as he saw two more samurais fly towards the wall.

 

Another few seconds, and only 3 remained, all looking rather hesitant to raise their blades towards Shuuhei. One of the three suddenly charged at Shuuhei, running quickly, blades drawn. The attacker was hoping that Shuuhei was becoming tired, but he calculated wrong. Shuuhei blocked the attack with his katana, shocking the attacker, then forming a fist around his free hand, he punched the face of the attacker, sending him straight towards his two other teammates, the three of them sent flying towards the farther wall.

 

"Now, for the main dish." Shuuhei said in a bloodthirsty tone.

 

"No wait. Wait! What do you need? Money? Information? I'll give them, just spare my life." Gyosei begged, falling down his knees.

 

Shuuhei grabbed him by the collar of his raincoat and lifted him up. If fire could shoot from the Akatsuki's eyes, they would've reduced Gyosei to cinders already. There was so much anger welling up in him that his hands were shaking. He wanted to slice and dice the informant had Zenosuke not needed the information the man carried.

 

"Please. I----" Gyosei pleaded but he was cut off when something hard hit his midsection. His eyes quickly rolled to the back of his head, and his consciousness fading. Shuuhei has landed another knee attack on the informant. He immediately carried the man on his shoulder, then hurried back to Sen.

 

"Sen, wake up. Can you still walk?" Shuuhei asked in a concerned tone. He was patting her cheeks to wake her up, trying to see if she'd respond.

Sen nodded slowly in responce to Shuuhei's question abruptly stopping as even that caused her discomfort. "I can walk...I think." Her voice was in a whisper, and her throat raw. She slowly stood up fighting the urge to cry in pain. She kept her head down and followed behind Shuuhei with a limp, whincingwit every step. "Zenosuke-sama...won't be mad right." Sen risked a glance at Shuuhei, but quickly looked back down, "You're not mad at me are you, Shuuhei-senpai?"

Shado looks over at Zenosuke, "will do Senosuke-dono, just give me a second to finish charging". Shado then pushes more electricity into his body his eyes almost full of electricity as he drops from the Statue. "is there anything about him I need to know, Zenosuke-dono, a weak spot or something?". Daku looks at the mummy as he is stuck by the chains, walking towards him. "Are we sure he wont just dissappear again this time?" he asks catiously looking at the mummy.

Shuuhei gave smile towards Sen when he heard about her question. He slumped Gyosei on his shoulder, adjusting the unconscious man properly on his right shoulder. There was a hint of warmth in his smile, which is pretty rare among the members of Akatsuki, seeing as compassion was a trait very few in the organization have. In fact, it would be a trait only Shuuhei would have if he was in a giving mood.

 

"Don't worry. You did good freeing me. Byakko overdid the technique, but I'm afraid if I didn't summon him, I'm going to be forced to end your life. The healing balm looked like its working, but I can't say for sure." Shuuhei said, giving Sen a light pat on the head before ushering her out of the alleyway.

 

The skies were already starting to darken, signaling a downpour anytime soon. Shuuhei looked worried as he saw the weather going against their favor. He called over to Sen, and grabbed her by the waist, carrying her. It was a good thing Shuuhei was strong enough to carry two people like Sen and Gyosei.

 

"Sorry, Sen. I'll have to speed things up. If it rains, we'll attract unnecessary attention from someone who's also unnecessarily powerful. Bear with me for a while." Shuuhei said, rushing towards the exit of the village without drawing attention.

 

As he jumped over the Amegakure wall, the rain started to pour inside the village, gradually expanding outwards. Shuuhei quickly moved through the tree branches, trying his best to avoid the rain. He can already see the Demon Gate. He passed by the tree where they stashed their clothes earlier, grabbing the clothes with the hand he's using to carry Gyosei, before continuing forward.

 

He jumped as hard and far as he could, landing a few feet near the demon gate. The dust around him rose up as he saw the rain stopped a few meters from his position. It was the extent of the rain clouds the leader of Amegakure can produce. It was also a reprieve Shuuhei wanted.

 

"Whew! That was close," He lowered Sen beside him and gave her clothes back, "Here. dress up. Zenosuke-dono will be pleased. And Sen," Shuuhei grabbed her by the shoulders and stared at her eye to eye, "Not a word to Zenosuke-dono about what happened back at Gyosei's hideout. The last thing I need is for him to punish either of us for an accident neither of us wanted, understood? If he asks, tell him you were watching me, alright?"

 

With that, he waited for Sen's reply, readying himself to enter the Demon Door.

Zenosuke gave Shado a brief glance before staring back at an entangled mummy figure. He gave maniacal laughter as he casually walked towards his victim. His glowing red eyes cackled with fierce energy, destroying the earth around him. Dust and loose rocks started to float in the air as he walked past them, only to fall down when he went too far from them.

 

"You fool! If you kill me, the Council of Six will hunt you all down! Not even you will be spared, Zenosuke you moron!" the mummy squirmed loudly, trying his best to get free from the chains surrounding him.

 

A sickening sound suddenly echoed throughout the cave. The crunchy sound of breaking bones and a loud, deathly scream filled the entire hideout, echoing loudly against the walls. Zenosuke's laughter sounded in tune with the agonizing scream. He has just broken the mummy's wrist and ankle joints, also completely disintegrating the bones in the arm and shin sections. The mummy was screaming extremely loud and painful, its body spasming violently from the torture.

 

"Shado, I pretty much doubt he could still be an illusion or a fake. Aside from the fact that my eyes can see through techniques, my chains are also designed in a way that they will dispel clones and illusions immediately, aside from being indestructible. Do what you want to do with him. Torture him if you must, as long as he dies. He has wasted our time far enough. After you're done, please dispose of his body someplace far, or just obliterate him completely from existence."

 

A manic look surrounded Zenosuke's glowing eyes as he wore his blinders once again, covering them.

 

"Shuuhei, you better come back here immediately. That Rinnegan is as good as mine!" Zenosuke laughed loudly, a sick laugh echoing all around the cave.

Shado then seems to appears 100 times around the Mummy his body moving so fast these ones shown all seemingly appearing within a less than a second of the last. "well I guess it's time to end this oh and to show you how bad you are off, this is close to my true speed" Shado says before the Mummy feels 100s of punches, 1 of Shado appearing back a bit Charging a Chidori and Launching as he pushes himself beyond the limit of his usual power appearing the other side of the mummy within seconds a large chunk missing where his arm and chidori had gone through. "now you are dead" he says before the Lightning dissappears from his eyes and he falls unconscious. Daku then runs to the mummy as he Activates Lightning Release armor Attacking the now Immobile figure and thrusting his hand into It's now greatly weakened body Finishing it as he deactivates his Lightning Release armour and runs over to where Shado is. Daku drags Shado away, into a small cave nearby which he had set up in such cases of Shado overusing his skills. "foolish, oh well he got the job done I guess I'll go deliver the body to the Hidden Mist guy, he'll probably want to know who hit him, or atleast what hit him". Daku then walks back into the Hideout grabbing the Body he then drags it back through the Gate leading to Kirigakure landing on the mountain he lifts the body over his shoulder as he then jumps running through the forest towards the Hidden Mist village as he notices the tree which the Hidden Mist ninja hit. Daku lays the bodys down nearby and sits waiting for the Hidden mist ninja to return. Shado (in his unconscious state) thinks about the mummy and what he said about the council of six hunting them down.

Sen styed quiet listening to Shuuhei's explination. She smiled a bit relieved that he wasn't mad at her. A shadow started to pass over the two, and shelooked up to see darkened clouds. "It's going to rain." Sen mumbled before she was picked up by Shuuhei, by her waist. "What are yo-" Sen was cut off by Shuuhei's reasoning so she just clung to him, going along for the ride. Soon the two of them were back in front of the Demon Gate, the rain no longer a problem for the two of them.

 

Shuuhei handed her back her clothes, she wondered how he got them so quickly, then explained what to say to Zenosuke. "Yes....I understand Shuukei-senpai. I don't want you to get in trouble, or me." She smiled putting a finger to her lips, "It's a secret." Sen giggled running behid a tree to change.

 

Once finished she walked from behind the tree Shuuhei waiting and ready to go through the gate. "Ok! Time to go back home!" Sen smiled following Shuuhei through the gate.

Zenosuke was about to go back to his meditation when Shuuhei and Sen materialized out of the demon door to the far right. Shuuhei looked extremely worn-out, but energetic, and Sen looked healthier, probably because of the healing balm Shuuhei applied to her earlier. Gyosei was still knocked unconscious, hanging on the senior akatsuki member's shoulder.

 

"Ah. Just the guy I was expecting for. And you've brought me a present too. How was your trip? I assume you didn't level the entire Amegakure looking for that guy." Zenosuke laughed.

 

Clearly, the Akatsuki's leader was in an all time high. He seemed intoxicated with unknown power. He motioned towards Gyosei, and a massive set of chains burst from the ground in front of Shuuhei, grabbing the unconscious man from his shoulders. The chains then wrapped themselves around Gyosei, bringing him close to Zenosuke. The Akatsuki leader's eyes gazed at Gyosei from head to toe.

 

"Impressive. Minimal damage, a few broken ribs, but no head trauma. Very good, Shuuhei-san, Sen-san." He remarked, moving towards Sen to pat her shoulder.

 

Zenosuke noticed something amiss. He gave Shuuhei a stern look from his blinders, as if he knew something happened. His chains suddenly sprouted from the ground in a menacing manner, encircling Sen and Shuuhei, the chains producing a sick, grinding noise.

 

"YOU! My chains detect a hint of that tiger's chakra linger around both of you. Shuuhei," Zenosuke rounded towards the senior Akatsuki member, "Don't tell me you summoned that Byakko! You know how I forbade you from summoning him. His virtues and views are rubbing off you. And also, that Byakko is an enemy of Akatsuki."

 

Shuuhei simply gave Zenosuke a quick shake of his head, denying about the fact that he summoned Byakko. Good thing he has blinders on, at least Zenosuke wouldn't be able to know the truth through his eyes. Much to his surprise, the Akatsuki Leader rounded towards Sen.

 

"You, girl. Did Shuuhei used anything other than lightning?" Zenosuke said, eyeing Sen extremely carefully, observing her eyes.

Somewhere in the far side of the Land of Iron, away from the prying eyes of the outside world. Four men stand around what looked like a pentagram on the ground. Four hooded men, all with dark expressions on their faces. One of them stepped forward, extending a bandaged hand outwards, reaching towards the center of the pentagram.

 

"It seems Zenosuke is planning on defying the council after all. I'm afraid, Human Path is no more. And he has gained possession of that Gyosei." one of the four said.

 

"Rinnegan. He still chases legends that aren't even in existence. However, it seems we must show him and his little group what reality means." another said.

 

"Ah! But of course. It's time this world knows who is the greater manipulator. Akatsuki may have numbers, but we hold the power. Zenosuke has grown arrogant, intoxicated with his own limited powers." a third said.

 

"The case is closed then. The Council hereby decides that Zenosuke and the Akatsuki must be put to death," the one in the middle said, pulling something, or rather, someone from the center of the pentagram, "Rise once again, Human Path. The Deva calls on you once again."

 

A mummy emerged from the center of the pentagram, the same exact figure that Shado just killed. It twitched and turned its head 360 degrees before settling down, joining the other three on around the edge of the pentagram.

 

"Hiya! Sorry bout that. I got done in by Zenosuke's lapdogs. It seems he did increased his power." the mummy spoke out.

 

"It does not matter anymore. Once he faces the Deva, not even his mind can fathom the power we hold." the one called 'Deva' said, speaking in a misty tone.

 

A silent snigger sounded from the other four members in the room. It seems, whoever this Deva is, he holds power that the members perceived to be even greater than Zenosuke. Their snigger turned into a cold, spine-chilling laughter that echoed through out the room. Dark clouds have gathere across the horizon, with Akatsuki ignorant to the jaws of death nearing them.

Zenosuke seemed to be please at the results of the mission while observing the damage done to Gyosei. That is until he made a remark about the chakra of Byyako. Byyako...Oh! That must be Shuuhei-senpai's tiger friend.....I didn't know he wasn't allowed to summon it. Better keep my mouth shut Sen thought just before Shuuhei denied Zenosuke's accusations.

 

Sen jumped surprised when Zenosuke rounded on her, asking her if Shuuhei did anything but lightening. She shook her head franticly her eyes darting from Zenosuke and the chains. She remembered all to well the pain his chains could produce. "No tiger, only lightening." Surprisingly she looked Zenosuke in the eye, or I guess blinders, but quickly looked down again inching away from the chains circling around her and Shuuhei. "I promise...Shuuhei-senpai only used lightening."

Daku then returns through the gate from Kirigakure, figuring the Mist nin would find the body if it was still there. Daku then jumps back when he sees the chains surrounding the two, "Zenosuke-dono, what did they do?" he asks softly looking at shuuhei and Sen. Shado gets up very slowly in the cave looking around as he notices the familiar objects "the cave.. again I really have to watch my ability, afterall now i cant use it for a while and have to walk back to base" he thinks to himself, slowly moving towards the mouth of the cave while restng against the cave wall. Daku then looks at Sen and he whispers quietly from just outside the chains "you two seem to have really set him off, you didn't do anything did you?".

Zenosuke eyed Sen with utmost intensity now. Even through Zenosuke's blinders, one can feel the amount of glare he was putting up as he looked Sen in the eyes. Something about the Akatsuki leader's stare seemed to connect right through one's soul, as if its piercing and searching for the information it needed.

 

Shuuhei tried to block Zenosuke's glare at Sen, knowing all too well where it will lead, but the chains intervened, keeping Shuuhei in place.

 

"Zenosuke-dono, stop this. We didn't do anything stupid." Shuuhei remarked desperately.

 

Zenosuke silenced Shuuhei with the wave of his palm. He was still staring at Sen intensely. After a few more moments, he snapped his fingers and his chains went away. He turned his back towards the two and started walking towards Gyosei. He didn't say a word until after he reached Gyosei, who was still unconscious.

 

"Listen, Shuuhei. You too Sen," Zenosuke said, turning back towards them, "I hate liars. But I won't punish you, Shuuhei, you brought Gyosei in one piece. However," Zenosuke pointed towards Sen, "You, little girl, are not exempted."

 

Chains suddenly appeared from the ground once again, encircling the ground around Sen. The chains looked menacing enough, sparks of black electricity surging towards it. It was made clear that it was the sort of lightning that cannot be absorbed by the body.

 

"Your punishment is this" Zenosuke said as he snapped his fingers.

 

The chains went straight towards Sen, attempting to wrap her wrists and ankle once again. However, this time, Shuuhei jumped in, katana drawn out. He expertly stabbed the sword on the ground, putting his abdomen flat against the tip of the handle. He then grabbed the set of chains, coiling them around his wrists and ankles. The lightning surged around his body immediately, causing Shuuhei to groan uncomfortably.

 

Zenosuke looked surprised by Shuuhei's action, and even more furious. He snapped his fingers and the electric current increased its intensity. Shuuhei this time, let out a loud, painful scream. His sword was surging with enough energy, however, cracking the ground around it, and even causing the bed rock to rumble. A few more moments, and Zenosuke let the electricity die down. Shuuhei fell on the ground, smoke issuing from his entire body, and Kaminari Ken was sizzling with energy.

 

"You're foolish, Shuuhei," Zenosuke then turned towards Sen, "And you're lucky. I have to attend to this man here first."

 

Zenosuke turned towards Gyosei and dragged him towards the far side of the room, into another room separate from the main hall. It seems the Akatsuki leader will be extracting information from the man in a private manner. Shuuhei tried to stand up, but fail, so he used Kaminari Ken as cane, and supported himself up.

 

"Hey there Daku. Don't worry bout us. This was nothing compared to the last time Byakko made his appeareance. How was your trip?" Shuuhei said calmly as if nothing happened.

 

He then stared at Sen, and gave her a wide smile. He didn't want the junior member to worry. Maybe Byakko's virtues really are rubbing off of him. If so, Zenosuke will not like the prospect of having Shuuhei in Akatsuki.

 

However, in the far corners of the Land of Iron, The Deva has started to move. The Council of Six and their dark tentacles have started to seep into the earth, and are now travelling towards the Akatsuki hideout.

Sen closed her eyes tightly waiting for the pain, but it never came. Instead she heard a yell that originated from Shuuhei. Her eyes snapped open in surprise at what he just did, "Shuuhei-senpai!" Sen whinced when Zenosuke increased the voltage, knowing all to well the pain and discomfort it produces. Luckily, Shuuhei was using his sword to obsorb and redirect some of the lightening so the damage wasn't as bad.

 

She waited until Zenosuke was gone then ran over to Shuuhei, to help him stand. "You know I would've been alright...I'm used to it..." Sen felt guilty that Shuuhei got hurt because of her. "Im just a low-rank anyway....And Zenosuke-sama says I only get punished when I deserved it." She gave a small smile when Shuuhei grinned at her.

Daku winces slightly as he sees Shuuhei being electyrocuted by the lightning through the chains. Daku then looks up at Shuuhei as he stands. "Shuuhei-senpai, Our trip went well, Shado should be back from the cave in about another 20 minutes though...". Daku looks around as he says thisbefore stepping a couple steps back and bowing slightly. "Shuuhei-senpai have you heard of a group called the Council of Six?" Daku asks. Shado stands at the mouth of the cave able to stand well again "damn.. I went and overdone it, atleast thaty mummy thing wont return". Shado then starts to walk back towards the Akatsuki hideout, moving slowly, as he walks through the forest nearby the cave in which Daku had set up for him, carefully avoiding the traps put in place to protect him as he walks, like being in the middle of a minefield from how the traps were set.

Shuuhei approached Sen and gave her a slight pat on the shoulder, grinning at her sincerely. His entire body is still smoking from the electrocution he received, but there was no visible injuries, aside from small scratches on Shuuhei's arms and ankles. He gave Daku a quick, approving nod before moving again. It was during this time that he heard Daku whispered something about the Council of Six.

 

Shuuhei's eyes widened from within his blinders. The organization called "Council of Six". He was all familiar with it. A slight shiver can be notably seen around his body, something that doesn't happen often. Even his hands were shaking from just hearing the name of the organization. He quickly composed himself again, before staring at Daku.

 

"I see. So you've heard of them huh? To put it simply, me and Zenosuke-dono used to belong to the Council of Six, but I was Zenosuke-dono's direct subordinate. The Council of Six, formed by six of the most powerful outlaws in the world, can be considered like Akatsuki, but they possess far greater resources and raw power than we do. Before Akatsuki was formed, Zenosuke-dono and I killed the members of the Council, with Zenosuke-dono doing most of the work while I provide the necessary distractions. It was also the time Byakko and him got on each other's bad side. Anyway, they're dead now. Why did you ask, Daku?" Shuuhei explained, looking extremely wary of the situation. Its as if he wanted Daku to answer no.

Meanwhile, over at the Hidden Village of Sound, the Deva and his 4 other councilmen has arrived. It was their first stop before going towards Zenosuke. Underneath them are countless dead corpses bearing the insignia of the Hidden Sound Village. The village itself is nearly in ruins, and only a handful of people are standing in the middle, all prepared to defend their precious village until the end.

 

"Pathetic humans. It is from this village that Gyosei came from, the bearer of information. Therefore, as decreed by the Council, you all must die." Deva said in a monotonous, and deathly voice.

 

"How can you take lives so easily?" the leader of the village said, trying to sway the Deva using reason.

 

The 4 other councilmen merely laughed mistily at the remark of the Hidden Sound Ninja. They even sat on the ground, laughing their asses off as if the leader of the village just asked something very funny. Deva was not laughing, however, as he extended a single hand, palms wide open. He drew in a deep breath before opening his mouth once again.

 

"I take lives because I have the authority." Deva said coldly.

 

"Who do you think you are, a god?" the village leader rebutted.

 

"I do not think of myself as a god," Deva stretched another hand, palms wide open, "I am a god."

 

He drew in another breath.

 

"Shinra Tensei."

 

With one massive release of chakra, the entire Hidden Sound Village suddenly burst downwards. The structures, both standing and leveled have suddenly became dust, as the earth sank inwards. Massive shockwaves erupted from the middle of the village where the village leader and the rest of the survivors were. Then, another massive impact hit the village from above, reducing everything in the village to nothingness, including the survivors. Not even a scream nor a slight whimper was heard. Instead, a large crater was formed on the spot where the village had been.

 

"Let this be the start of reckoning." Deva remarked, landing beside the mummy.

 

"Where to, command?" Human Path, the mummy, asked, looking very excited.

 

"Its time for Zenosuke to meet his match." Deva replied, walking towards the direction of the hideout.

 

The other councilmen followed, all sniggering at the prospect of more slaughter. A cold, dark mist engulfed the 5 council members, an aura of bloodlust emanating from them.

Daku looked scared slightly ashe saw Shuuhei shiver when he said Council of Six. "The mummy guy.. I just put his body near Kirigkure then... had said that they would hunt us down and the only reason he came here ws to find the hideout for them". Daku steps back slightly looking around "you don't think they could still find us do you?" he says looking around slightly more rpidly before stopping as he looks towards the entrnce waiting for Shado. Shado runs through the forest, even though pining his body slightly he knew that if anything hppened if the Council of Six whoever they were, were stronger then Zeno-suke his little brother hd no chnce to survive. "We killed the mummy though, atleast I think we did, I passed out before I saw him finished" Shado thinks as he then starts to jump through the trees landing just outside the hideout but then falling over, the pain from running so much just after pushing his ability getting the better of him at the time. Daku sees Shado slowly starting to move towards him but keeping within easy ear range of Shuuhei, incase something was wrong with the situation.

"Counsil...Of six?" Sen mumbled from her sitting position of the ground. "That's a funny name for group if you ask me." She said drawing her knees close to her, and looking up at Shuuhei remembering when he seemed to shake from fear of the mear name. "Shuuhei-senpai, are they really that bad of a group? And if you and Zenosuke-sama could kill them before, why are they much of a problem now?"

Shuuhei looked strangely at Daku, and when he heard about the mummy who went into their hideout, he looked more wary. It was one of those rare moments that Shuuhei himself has felt the pangs of uneasiness. The Council of Six, whoever they are, have such an impact to the Akatsuki member. He paced in his place back and forth, looking very uneasy at the news he just heard. It was then that Sen asked him regarding the Council.

 

"Sen-san, they're Class S outlaws just like us. In a bingo book, the bounty on their heads are higher than the bounty placed on Zenosuke-dono's head and ours combined. That's how much of a threat they are to the world. During the second ninja war, they were one of the few who worked behind the scenes, adding fuel to the fire, or at least that's what Deva, their leader used to say. And regarding your last question," Shuuhei gave a slight cough before continuing, "Zenosuke-dono killed them before with the use of his judgement chains. It was easy because Zenosuke-dono held the Human Path rank of the six, the strongest of the five before Deva himself. If they truly are alive right now, and are heading here, we must be prepared."

 

Shuuhei stared at the empty space near the door where Zenosuke entered. He was thinking about who the mummy Daku was talking about. It was customary for the Council to wrap themselves in bandages, which explains why Zenosuke's body is wrapped with bandages all around them. He then remembered something, which prompted him to face Daku once again.

 

"Daku, what did the mummy say? Did he perhaps give any hint as to who he was? What are his abilities and how did you kill him?" Shuuhei asked suddenly.

Just one mountain away from the hideout, the Council has started to make their way over the dense forests of the terrain. One of them, a person wearing a golden, well decorated sphinx mask and helmet, and wearing a black cloak around his body, was leading the way. Every step he takes rots the earth, and the plants around him starts to die. Animals and insects rot gradually as they step into his presence.

 

"Deva, how far are we?" the man in the sphinx mask asked, causing the trees that block his path to rot away and crumble.

 

"A little bit further, just across his mountain, and a few more forests. Zenosuke will get what's coming for him. No one refuses the Council, Human Path. No. One." Deva replied coldly.

 

"And no one kills us and gets away with it." Human Path remarked, extending a finger in front of him.

 

The mountain, which stood ominously in front of the Council, standing unbending and strong, suddenly got blasted in the middle. A massive hole, the size of a two-storey building now appeared in front of the Human Path. The earth was rotted away in one attack, and with one finger, signifying the power of the the position closest to the Deva.

 

"Why did you start wearing the Sphinx Mask again, Human Path?" one of the councilmen asked from behind.

 

Human Path gave a high pitched, chilling laugh. The air around him seemed to have died, and the clouds above him seemed to ominously thicken.

 

"Because as a mummy, I held my powers back, even reverting to taijutsu. But this time, the pharaoh of death, the real Human Path will show those Akatsuki the through meaning of mortality." Human Path replied, moving forward as he lead the group into the tunnel he single-handedly created.

Shado stands back up and walks in to the hideout, just as Shuuhei asked what he said. Shado looks up at Shuuhei "He said he was The Human Path.. The Irredeemable One as he put it himself, he has high speeds equal to if not faster than what I can go, When zenosuke-dono first grabbed him with chains he dissappeared and appeared on th statue like he teleported or something." Shado then leans against the wall slightly as Daku walks over and helps him stand, "you shouldn't of ran" he whispered to Shado. Shado then looks directly at Shuuhei "I smashed most of one side of his gut of.. but I don't remember Exactly what killed him" he says looking towards Daku. Daku looks up at Shuuhei "I Finished him, Thrusting my hand through him, he looks like he died" Daku says wondering what the reason was he was asked this. Shado looks at Shuuhei again, just before he was able to stand by himself again, "He seemed quite easy once Zenosuke-dono had got him properly, he seemed to be threatening Zenosuke-dono to try to stay alive, though I doubt if unchained I could get him without risking an overload of my Kekkei Genkei".

"The Irredeemable One, Human Path."

 

Shuuhei gave a sudden weird noise, as if something was stuck in his throat. There was something in those words that gave him chills. He immediately spun around and stared at the only entrance to the hideout. Two massive, iron bound doors with multiple seals stand between the inside and the outside of the cave. It stretches upwards, and towers over 20 feet from the ground.

 

"Human Path huh? I sure am hoping he was dealt with as you said, and he's already dead. I shudder to think what he could do, especially when that position used to be held by our very own Zenosuke-dono." Shuuhei said, trying look calm.

 

The Council of Six. They're a far greater threat than Akatsuki to anyone who lives. They defy the laws of ninja physics, and their powers are far beyond comprehension. I doubt any of us here would be of any match one on one against any one of them, especially the Deva. Zenosuke, what have you brought upon yourself. Shuuhei thought to himself, silently pacing back and forth, looking extremely disturbed.

 

Suddenly, Zenosuke emerged from the back of the room. His blinders, and his covered face looking straight at the door. Somehow, he didn't have the overpowering aura he has earlier. He quickly headed towards Shuuhei and the others, walking briskly.

 

"I felt their chakra, Shuuhei. That bastard is alive. While I saw checking on Gyosei's information using my divining technique, I happened across his village, and then it was gone. Instead, I felt Deva. And I'm pretty sure he felt me. You," He rounded towards Shado, Daku, and Sen, "Prepare yourselves. Rekkin and Garanth have both not come back yet. If the Council of Six really did came here, there's no telling what they will do. But if they're still the same Council as before, then the Rule of Combat will be imposed. I suggest you all smarten yourselves up, and rest as much as you can. They're a bigger opponent than the 5 kages combined."

 

Zenosuke himself did a number of hand seals and pressed his palms on the ground. The seals on the door suddenly lit up, and formed a net of chakra around the door's frame. The net criss-crossed across the frame, completely sealing it from top to bottom.

 

"That's the strongest seal in existence. If they really want to enter, they'll have to split up and find an alternative route. That's where we will engage them. If we all work together, we could easily take them out one by one." Zenosuke said, looking at the seals.

 

Its only a matter of time.

Sen frowned not liking the way things were developing. This Counsil Of Six must be extremely strong if both Shuuhei and Zenosuke are worried about them. She watched as Zenosuke placed a seal on the door, and explained that we would engage them at the alternative route they were bound to take. If Im going to have to fight again, then I need to be extra careful not to go crazy when using my Kekkai Genkai. The last thing I want to do is self distruct, and reck everything. Sen sighed resting her head on her knees just waiting for her Senpai's next move.

Shado looks at Zenosuke as the seals on the door light up behind him. After Zenosuke finished talking he then looked over towards Shuuhei, "If that one, Thu Human Path, Is somehow still alive I think we could trap him easily enough, since he seems to be fast I could lure him further into the nearby forest where we Attack from the cave.. As long as the others aren't as fast as him we should be able to kill him before any others catch up..." Shado then says slowly. "If they are as fast as him, I'll have to see if they can be held back whilst I use my Lightning Release's strongest technique, If that doesn't work the fall should atleast damage him". Daku Meanwhile starts to run back towards the statue, wondering If there was anything that could help hidden behind it.

Zenosuke didn't looked fazed, however the circumstances were looking out. He still has his ace in the hole, one that Deva doesn't have. His judgement chains. The last time they fought, the chains were barely completed. Now, after years of practice, he finally completed the one thing that could beat the Deva. However, he was not sure whether or not he could take on all six of them. He had to rely on the 4 other members of the Akatsuki. Shuuhei didn't look too well though.

 

"Hmm. With four of us here, three of which are lightning users, we could put a massive dent on them. But don't go getting too reckless," He rounded towards Sen, "especially you, Sen-san."

 

Zenosuke was about to reprimand Shuuhei for being compassionate when a loud bang sounded from the front of the door. It was a loud and sickening sound. The door creaked, but it held its ground, its frame holding out.

 

"They're here." Zenosuke remarked.

 

Another loud bang, and the door shook violently, but it held its ground. The seals seemed to be working. Shuuhei looked tense, but he has trust in Zenosuke's crafts. He trusts the seals would keep the doors close. To his relief, silence followed the last banging. Zenosuke motioned for them to exit from the back, and proceed to the hidden entrance.

 

However, as they were about to leave, the seals on the door suddenly flickered in and out of existence. It was then that Zenosuke removed his blinders, his glowing red eyes flickering to life. From across his face, a rare surprised emotion surfaced. It was an unexpected turn of events.

 

"What th-----" He started but was cut off when the massive door was blasted open.

 

From the frame of the door, one can see that it has rotted away nearly completely. The seals on the front were completely burned out, and the door itself turned black as if it was rotten. From the other side of the blasted doorway, three figures came into existence. One was the Sphinx wearing mask, the Human Path. His gaze shot towards Shado as he raised a finger, and made a slicing motion across his own neck, as if saying he's dead.

 

On the other side, there was a humanoid figure standing. It was taller than the two others, and was also covered in bandages. On his head, a massive jackal mask was in place. It was black all the way and has glowing black eyes. There was an unfriendly aura around it, and rather ferocious too. On top of the bandages, the jackal guy was wearing a black robe which has several strange impressions of creatures.

 

Finally, there was a man standing in the middle. His head was completely kept hidden under a black hood, and a black robe covers his entire body, all the way to his toes. Only his hands can be seen, which are also wrapped in black bandages, but with dark glowing symbols etched on them. He nodded towards Zenosuke.

 

"Deva." Zenosuke remarked.

 

"It's been a long time, Zenosuke. You owe the Council a lot." Deva said, suddenly reappearing behind Zenosuke and pushing him away with one finger.

 

Zenosuke quickly spun around, just in time to pull up his defenses in the forms of interlocking chains, cushioning the blow. However, he was still flung away a couple of feet in the air before landing gingerly on his own feet. He counter-attacked with a set of chains heading towards Deva with tremendous force, attacking from all angles.

 

"Foolish!" Deva shouted, extending a palm towards the ground.

 

An invisible force pushed the chains aside without effort, causing them to fly away harmlessly.

 

Meanwhile, the Human Path has already started to advance forward, slowly and gradually. He seemed to be levitating off the ground. He gave Shado a cold stare, his Sphinx mask glowing eeriely inside the well-lit hide out. He pointed the tip of his finger towards Shado, and a massive wave of black chakra exploded from the tip. It shot straight towards Shado, rotting anything near the beam.

A young boy was on top of a building, in the dry desert of Suna. A wide grin on his face, as he held what looked like a yellow ballon over the edge. "Hehe, this is gonna be awe-"

 

"What are you doing up here?" The boy jumped at the female voice behind him, and turned quickly hiding the balloon behind his back. He grinned nervously at the female ANBU, "Nothing! Nothing at all Reinako-senpai!"

 

The ANBU, who he called Reinako, crossed her arms a smile playing on her lips. "Really," She walked over and grabbed the balloon from him. "And what may I ask, were you going to do with these water filled balloons Kaito-san?"

 

Kaito took out another balloon from his pants pocket and held it over the edge. "This." Grinning he let it go before Reinako could stop him, and she watched as it hit an unsuspecting Suna villiger down below. The villager looked up and glared at Reinako, "Damn it! You think this is funny?! You damn ANBU!"

 

Reinako blinked about to defend herself when she noticed how it must look from his end. Her standing over the edge, with a water balloon in her hands. Her pupiless white eyes turned to a laughing Kaito, with a glare. "Only a week you've been here and you've managed to get yourself in trouble countess times, have just about all the girls flaunting over you, AND gettingme in trouble with not only the villagers but with Hyuuga-dono too." Reinako sighed putting her hand over her face, and shaking her head. "Why me?"

Sen nodded to Shuuhei when he said she should be care, not to be to reckless. Suddenly the front entrance began ratteling dangerously, signifying that someone was on the opposite side trying to get through. So much for that rest Zenosuke-sama mentioned. Zenosuke was about to lead them to the back exit, when the door was blasted open the seal on the door having been useless at stopping the Counsil Of Six advance.

 

Sen watched as Zenosuke and the one he called Deva began fighting. The Human Path was making his way over to Shado. It seems like the only one left was the jackle looking one.

The jackal-mask wearing guy made his move towards Shuuhei and Sen. He seemed to be more relaxed than the Human Path, and Deva. There was a hint of malice around his face, and the air around him felt extremely cold, the same way with the other two members of the council. He gave a slight nod towards Sen, then rounded towards Shuuhei.

 

"Summoning Bear Guardian Technique!" a deep, growling voice from within the jackal-mask said.

 

From in front of Shuuhei, a massive, brown bear, half wrapped in bandages appeared. It has glowing black eyes, and deadly looking claws. It roared towards Shuuhei and Sen as it attempted to attack using its extended claws. Shuuhei blocked accordingly with his lightning charged katana. The clash lifted Shuuhei up in the air and was flung away towards the nearby wall. He hit the wall with his feet, allowing him to bounce back at the bear, and land a sharp knee strike towards the bear's chin, causing the lumbering beast to take a few steps backwards, howling in pain.

 

"You're not half bad, Akatsuki. Allow me to introduce myself. Grrr. I represent the Beast Path, the rabid one. Grrr. You're in for the fight of your life!" Beast Path growled.

 

"Summoning Twin Headed Dog Guardian Technique!"

 

This time, from in front of Beast Path, a massive, twin-headed dog half-wrapped in bandages appeared. It gave a loud growl towards Shuuhei and Sen, then charging forward. Its mass jaws were aiming for Shuuhei, something which the akatsuki immediately dodged. To his surprise, the dog didn't seemed to mind as it continued forward towards Sen, its jaws wide open.

 

Shuuhei tried to move forward, but to his surprise yet again, the bear from earlier suddenly blocked his path, punching him on the gut, sending him flying the opposite direction.

 

"Don't cheat, Akatsuki. Grrr. This is a two on two fight. My beasts versus you two." Beast Path remarked while growling.

Sen tilted her head at the two headed beast that came for her. "This looks like a very bad doggy." She ran towards the beast, activating her Kekkei Genkai on the way. Seconds before she was in range of their snapping jaws, Sen threw her self to the ground sliding under the beast on her back.

 

Her fist was encased in a bright white glow when she punched the beast's underbelly, and stopped behind the beast, quickly pushing herself up just incase it didn't have the desired effect and she could be ready for any counter attack. The lightening from her kekkei Genkai seemed to be more concentraited on her feet and hands, as the white glow was stronger there than any where else.

Shado drops to the ground before launching himself into the air watching the beam as Daku comes out from behind the statue, holding a kunai with an explosive tag in one hand. "Well it seems that you think that I'd stay still for something like that?" Shado says. Shado then uses Chidor, The electrical blast pulling him foward as he Dives at the Human path. Daku runs up throwing the explosive kunai so that ot only left an escape by Jumping. Daku then jumps Activating his Lightning release armor, Watching Shado to see if he could Maneouvre the Figure into range fro a Liger Bomb. Shado looks around as the Lightning spreads from his Chidori to over his body the Chidori Dissappearing as he spins, hif foot going fowards. He Appears though to be slowly rotting from a use of his Genjutsu disguise, making it seem to others that the beam had actually affected him still.
