Also..... that last part.... It interests me for some reason....

 

It was originally a reference to the communist actions of the staff on this forum, banning people because they dislike what was said. I have no idea if it still means the same thing now, though this insinuates it. I wonder if TC even knows that.

Shut up. Why do you think that just 1 person made it? You do realize that only 1 mod can post in a single announcement? So thus, 90% of announcements are discussed by at least 3 members of the YCM Staff.

 

This rule may fail to you. But this rule was already being upheld in Custom Cards, and TCG already. Since it causes problems with new members (who are far more important than all of you can ever be), and forces more descriptions in the Topic Posts. Which is far more healthy and proactive for everyone.

 

Ooh, and notice how we didn't open a topic about this new rule? Yeah. We expect you to PM staff to complain rather than post it. Ooh, and it's crap like THIS THREAD AND YOUR IMMATURE COMPLAINING that causes the staff to get stricter. Compared to 99% of Forums on the Web about "fun", YCM is very relaxed.

It's really, really not.

Yeah, it is. Most sites I visit, dont even give you the courtesy of a lock or even warn. They flat out delete your post and send you some minor thing about how you broke the rules. Rather forcing you to put it right or do better.

Yeah' date=' it is. Most sites I visit, dont even give you the courtesy of a lock or even warn. They flat out delete your post and send you some minor thing about how you broke the rules. Rather forcing you to put it right or do better.

That is not a website about fun, nor regarding "fun" in any way, shape or form. That sounds more like a corrupt dictatorship on a forum who dislikes what you say. That is not the kind of "fun" site I imagine, and this site is supposed to be a "fun" site about creating your own Yugioh cards. The staff take action in the other sections way too seriously, which the exceptions of Flame Dragon, Opalmoon and Rinne (Frunk does not count as he doesn't even view this site as serious at all).

I usually read these and keep moving, but this ticked me off.

 

First off, freedom of speech. The TC didn't post anything against the rules, he made a thread discussing a rule, and that's perfectly fine the way I see it. Personally, I find the rule unnecessary, and even if it doesn't bother me enough to make me start a thread, other people might. Complaining against a rule doesn't make it IMMATURE, it makes you human, and in a section called General, I see no reason why members shouldn't talk about this kind of thing. They're not about to start a riot.

 

As a side note, if it bothers you that much, why not report it?

 

Finally, no, YCM is certainly not in that magical 1% of yours.

IIRC, even sites like Neopets have the rule. The site I was citing was the Battleon Forums. And people have fun talking about all kinds of stuff pertaining to the game, posting art and flash creations as well as RP. Sure, it's a little game oriented but that's the rules of the board regardless of even if you're in the OOC (general) section. And people still have a blast.

All they did was make it easier to find everything. It was a pain to post a thread, let's say for sports, only to find out another for the exact same thing was made that goes by the name of "Bananas are delicious." or something like that. And about the "Larxene posts porn in YCM" part, that's true and was related to the thread when I found that thread a couple months back.

The fact of the matter is that I invented that rule myself and fooled the other moderators into adopting it (and Resonating Yankee into posting it) in order to cause the users to riot in protest against the rule. I would then become their champion and lead a riot that would overthrow Falling Pizza and YCMaker and leave me as supreme dictator of the site.

 

Sadly, my cunning plan was foiled when I made this post and revealed it to everyone.

We've gone through this before.

 

There is a reason for the rule, and we will uphold the rule.

It was already being enforced, all myself, Icy, and Azrael did was make it a written rule.

 

It is still a very lax rule, unlike other forums where you can be banned for even worse things.

And against your beliefs, YCM IS a very relaxed site compared to many others.
