Eletinbuki: The Elemental's War [started/ACEPTED MEMBERS ONLY] (PG-13)

"Sorry, I don't know of any place closer." Jecht replied. "I usually just try make myself a camp until I actually find a decent place. Unless . . ." He trailed off. Jecht pushed both his hands, palms facing downward, towards the groudn and the ground under him rose up, like a look out. He remained in his place in high above the surrounding trees for almost a minute before the earth dropped to the ground except a small bit of the top section floating down carrying Jecht down safely. Once on the ground again, "There seems to be a small town not far from here. Nothing big but we could stock on supplies there and be on our way."

Raven looked at both of them seemingly contemplating asking them something. They are the same as her, so they should be able to travel through as well. "If we do choose to go to the town, I would be more than happy to cut our travel short. It would be no stress on me if I pass us through the shadows. I've come to realize that it's a much faster method of traveling, and since you both are Suyin Eleinbuki like me I should be able to pass you through as well." Raven smiled looking at Yomi for comformation. He nodded lazily as his reply.

Chikyuu growled at what Raven had said. "You know there's a reason any sane creature is afraid of the dark." He growled getting up and circling around Jecht. "And you want us to go into the evil shadows?!"

"You're a afraid of the dark?" Jecht said smiling.

Chikyuu growled again. "I don't trust her."

Jecht rolled his eyes and turned back to Raven. "I don't see why we shouldn't."

Yomi went alert when Chikyuu growled, eyeing the mountain lion through it's black slits. "The shadows are nothing to be afraid of Chikyuu, Guardian of Earth," He hissed, "but instead what lerks in them."

 

"Yomi cut it out." Raven chided turning back to Chikyuu, "You have my word that no harm will come to you. I understand why you as the animal spirit of earth would detest the shadows, but there really is nothing to fear nor is the shadows evil as you so put it. It isn't any more dangerous than the earth, or water have the potential to be." The whole time her voice didn't seem to rise above her normal soft tone and no anger or annoyance could be detected. It was almost as void as the shadows she spoke up.

 

She then turned to Jecht with a smile, "And if you agree to my way of travel, there is only Ashika who have yet to give her answer."

"If it would save us time, can be done and you two agree I see no reason to object. Traveling by using shadows would also be a good way to avoid detection in case we have an unwanted stalker fallowing our footsteps." She looked at Raven meaningfully as she said the last sentence. Ashika uncrossed her arms, "So. If we are all agreed then we're ready whenever you guys are." Ashika's eyes darted around the area. She had been wondering about the demon-like man ever since the battle but figured for now she would just keep alert.

 

Nakala looked up at Askika and nodded understanding her wondering gaze. Of course nothing was wrong at the moment otherwise there would have been an energy spike. This would then had been sensed in no time by the three gaurdians. "There is nothing around here that I can sense. We will be safe.", she looked at Chikyuu.

Raymond was walking through the forest, which he personally hated because he couldn't get to the sky easily, when he heard the voices. There were three of them, and they were too incomprehensible to tell which gender each voice was. "Take caution, Sutro. This may be a trap." He heard a quiet churring from by his head, and turned to glare at his animal spirit. "What's so funny?" he asked as he made his way warily towards the voices.

 

"Only that you want to be cautious," she said, still laughing quietly. Raymond brushed off the incident, and came upon a clearing. He saw two females, and a male, too far away to make out their age. But he could see the animal spirits.

 

"They must be Guardians!" he exclaimed quietly. Sticking a hand out, he waved to the three people, then burst into a quick run, until he was closer. "Hey there. Are you guys Guardians?"

"Very well, before we depart I advise you all hold your breath." Raven smiled kindly and was about to summon her powers when Yomi grabbed her attention. "There is a Guardian close by." Just as he finished his statement a guy was standing in front of the trio, with his animal spirit in tact. She wondered how he got here so fast, but quickly assumed with his speed, and what animal spirit he had, he was the Guardian of Wind. "Yes....We are Guardians." Raven answered in reply to his question.

Raymond smiled. ("That wasn't the best thing you could do," Sutro muttered into his ear.) He looked over the girl who had spoken to him. A small snake was coiled around her neck. A snake, huh? She must be the Guardian of the...I would say Dark. Snakes can seem like dark creatures, after all. Raymond, of course, had no idea of telling if this girl was really the Guardian of Dark, or if she was of some other element. Oh well. It doesn't make much difference does it? Raymond was about to speak, when Sutro flapped her wings, and soared into the air. Then, he noticed that the girl, along with the other two, looked slightly in a hurry. "Hey...is everything alright?...Oh! Sorry...manners! Haha...my name's Raymond," he said, holding out a hand to the girl with the snake around her neck.

Raven examined the boy as he seemed to be in deep thought. She felt uncomfortable under his gaze as she could not tell what he was thinking about, but knew it revolved around her. Could he be tring to figure out which element I have... She thought looking away from him shyly. "Oh, my name is Raven, the Guardian of Darkness and an Suyin Elentinbuki. This is my animal spirit Yomi." She said hesitating a bit before carefully placing her hand in his to shake. "It's nice to meet you...And we were just on our way to the town not to far ahead.."

As Raven placed her hand in his, Raymond couldn't help notice the similarity in their names. After a moment of shaking, he released her hand, and pulled his back to his side. Then, with his other hand, Raymond pointed up, at the sky. "The golden eagle that was with me is my animal spirit, Sutro. Like you probably guessed, I'm the Suyin Elentinbuki Guardian of Wind." With a flash, Sutro dove down, executed a perfect maneuver, and landed on Raymond's shoulder. She gave a curt nod to Raven, then to Yomi. "The town, huh? Why are you going there?"

"To rest and get some supplies I believe." Raven smiled at Raymond's animal spirit, always having a sort of fetish for birds or anything that flys. Yomi hissed in what sounded like laughter noticing the look in Raven's eyes. "Anyway, if you have no destination right now we would be more than heppy for you too come along. I never thought that I would met three other Guardians all in one day." Raven then said, "We were going to be traveling via, the shadows."

"You might be." Chikyuu muttered. "I'm not going anywhere with the shadow girl." He said skulking away.

Jecht watched Chikyuu and shook his head, before turning his attention to the Guardian of Air, Raymond. "And, I'm Jecht. Pround guardian of the Earth." He introduced himself, wondering how they woudl get along. He knew the air and the ground were complete opposites but did that apply to the Guardians too? Guess he would find out soon enough. "So are we ready to leave?"

Raymond nodded politely to Jecht, before turning back to Raven. "Heh...I hadn't even known there was a town nearby. I've been wandering for a while now. But, hey, I might as well join you." But...through the shadows? Mmmm...I've never really been one for darkness. Maybe I could travel with Jecht? He is the Guardian of Earth. Or maybe I could just follow along with Sutro? But...would I be able to see them from the air. Raymond looked around, then up, then back to Raven. "If I followed from the air...would I be able to see you?"

"I am ready when ever you are, so I guess we will leave now." Raven said in responce to Jecht's question. Then went to answer Raymond's question. "Since it is daylight you would be tracking a shadow that has no source. Make sure you do not get lost when we re-enter the shade of the forest up ahead." Raven warned both him and Jecht. "The shadows are quite nice if you give them a chance." She smiled. "Are you ready Ashika? It seems like it will just be you and I traveling through the shadows."

Ashika nodded. She admired the other's caution but she, on the other hand, wasn't one to be cautious. Besides she trusted Raven, "Yep. Let's get going. As for us being the only ones traveling through the shadows...that's fine by me." She walked slightly closer to Raven and looked at Nakala raising an eyebrow. "Are you comming Nakala? Or are you going to be traveling by the river?" Ashika asked the wolf even though she already knew the answer. Nakala was uncautous like her and never left her side.

 

Nakala stood closer to Ashika, "Do you really have to ask that?" Then she turned to the other two gaurdians and dipped her head. "Farewell Sutro and Chikyuu. May we meet eachother easily at the town."

Chikyuu nodded to Nakala in response and stamped his paw on the ground bringing up a disc of earth. He jumped on and it glided easily through the air.

"Very impaient." Jecht muttered. "I guess I'll follow after him." He announced. "See you in town." He said farwell and brought up a very slender disc of rock, jumped on it, and flew directly into the sky. Acting like the show-off he was rocketing through the sky, on the circle of earth.

Raven nodded and smiled, "Shall we." She closed her eyes and slowly her own shadow began to widen swallowing Ashika's and Nakala's shadow in the process. Soon the shadow was a wide circle with all three of them in the middle. "Now Yomi." Raven said here eyes now open, as Yomi opened his mouth and a dark heavy smoke issued, surrounding the three but never moving out of the circle. When the smoke finally encased them all in instantly vanished, and nothing was there save for the shadow circle. In a split second later the shadow shot forward towards the city.

 

Two minutes later the shadow stopped at the entrance of the town, and the same smoke rose from the shadow revealing the three occupants. The shadow grew smaller, and both Nakala and Ashika's shadow was returned to them.

 

"Hm...Seems like we're the first one here. Serves that Earth Guardian right." Yomi hissed after survaying the area. Raven only smiled and rounded to Ashika, "You are feeling alright, yes? You are the first to ever travel with me, so I am curious as to if you feel any different."

[Auralady]

Ashika looked at Raven. It was odd traveling by use of shadows. "Not really. I just blacked out for what felt like a few seconds, that's all. That was an interesting way to travel." Ashika looked around the enterence to the town and smirked, "And by the looks of it it was clearly the best choice." She turned to Raven and Yomi with her eyes flickering with glee and her voice sarcastic, "The only problem is now we have to wait for the stragglers. Earth users can be too proud sometimes and wind users to cautious. It was kind of fun actually. Even maybe relaxing."

"Yes, the shadows are quick as they are everywhere." Raven smiled widely at Ashika when she said it was fun, and even relaxing. "I'm glad you think so. I was afraid that you wouldn't like my methods of travel. As I am quickly learning the Guardian of Darkness isn't liked by the other guardians. Either that or they are neutral towards me." She the looked up towards the sky, "It seems they will be arriving shortly. I hope they hurry, I haven't slept in a bed in a long time."

[Auralady]

Ashika looked up at the sky too searching for any flying rocks or giant birds. “Don’t worry about the other two. They’re guys so most likely aren’t as open to new experiences. Either that or they have just had bad experiences with darkness users. Although, Jecht and his gaurdain did irk me a little bit but…hey.” Ashika shrugged. “Hmmm….” It was getting later and the other Chosen Elementals and their gaurdians had not shown up yet. Ashika fidgeted a little bit as she stood next to Raven. Nakala, she noticed, had curled up not far away and was relaxing in the shade of a large boulder. “I hope they have not had any difficulties getting here. Maybe we should get a room now?”, she asked looking at Raven.

 

Nakala looked over at Ashika and Raven. She found the shadowed area under the boulder quite cool and dry. The perfect spot for her to rest. “We could get a room now. I am sure that big brute of an Gaurdian of the Earth and the winged Gaurdian of the Wind will be able to pick up on mine and Yomi’s energies well enough.” She liaed her head back down. “But it’s up to you two. Personally, I could lay here for hours.”

Yomi nodded to Nakala's reasoning. "I agree with you Nakala, I do not want to wait around for the others. I vote for going forward."

 

Raven noticed Ashika's figiting, and figured that she was getting impaitent waiting for the other guardians. "Maybe we should get a room like they suggest. Although, I'm afraid I do not have much money left." Raven blushed and looked down, "Like I said, it's been a while since Ive been to a village so the use of money hasn't really been present. I think I have enough for a room....Maybe, but I doubt for anything more."

Jecht twirled around in the air. It was a long time before he had this much fun. He knealt on the disc looking around for the others. He saw Chikyuu racing towards the ground so he followed after. "Were getting close." Chikyuu said when Jecht came beside him. Chikyuu made a sharp left turn towards Ashika and Raven.

Jecht followed after him he saw the others and came closer to the ground. He came a little too close to the ground and the disc collided with the earth. He fell and rolled on the ground before stopping near the other two Guardians and Choosen Elementals. He felt really embaressed to have fallen on the ground, and in front of the other Choosen Elementals, and they were girls. He rubbed his head where it hit the ground hard.

Chikyuu started purring which sounded a lot like laughter.

"Shut up." He muttered, trying to act like it didn't happen.

Raven covered her mouth with her hand trying to hide her smile, but it didn't quiet the small giggles that escaped. "Um..." She cleared her throat still smiling, "I hope that you are ok, and are not hurt." After he answered she then continued, "We were actually debating on weather or not to enter the town and find someplace to rest, and of course something to eat. If anything was to happen and we were in need of our abilities it would be best if we are well rested and not hungry."

Suddenly, Raymond floated down, landing much more gracefully than Jecht. Turning as his hair settled back down on his head, he executed an extravagant bow in Raven's direction. As he did so, Sutro dove from the air and came towards him. The instant that Raymond stood from his polite bow, Suto locked her talons out and landed perfectly on his right shoulder. "Hello, Raven and Ashika. It seems that I managed to find you quite easily...Ahh...Nothing quite exhilarates me as much as flying through the air on only my elemental powers..."

Raven watched Raymond's entrance with a look of glee in her eyes. Every night she would look up at the stars and would alwas wonder how it would feel to be in the sky along with them, and the Wind Guardian is the one that could get as close as he wants. True she was a little jealous because he could and she couldn't. She even tried to use the shadows but....That was a disaster. Shadows are ment to be on the ground not the air.

 

Yomi, who knew about her little wishes, hissed at Raymond and turned his silver head in jelousy. Raven clapped a bit when he landed and said, "I would give you a ten out of ten. As for you Jecth more like a five...You know or the landing."

 

"So then, shall we enter the town seeing as we are all here?" She smiled and started walking into the small town.
