[spoiler=Plot]The world of Amiarx. Beautiful, vast, oh...

 

...and torn by savage war.

 

The two main races of the world, the Zaad and the Koley, fight for control of probably the single most important piece of land: Pure, the hiding place of the Crystals.

 

Both races had hated each other for centuries, and had always been fighting, but ever since the Crystals have been found, the violence intensified. Using the Crystals grants the weilder magical powers. There are hundreds, even thousands of Crystals, yet each Crystal is unique, and will only work for one person.

 

However, each crystal has a limited amount of magic. And when that magic is wasted, the user would be turned to stone. Normally, people would just use Ethers or Elixers, but somehow, no one has seen or made any for a while...

 

Also, there is a rumor going around, about the rulers of both races, Emperess Ualeivesa of the Koley, and King Baruk of the Zaad, using the war to kill off anyone getting in between them and the Crystals...

 

You are fighting for one of the two races (descriptions provided). Your current mission is to get to Pure, get to Crystal Cavern (at the center of the land), and find your Crystal. The rest is for you to decided...

[spoiler=The Races]

[spoiler=Zaad]The Zaad are simple humans, but they are called the Zaad because of the land they live in, Zaal.

The Zaad have average physical attacks, yet excel in use of magic, having discovered the Crystals first. Zaad warriors can use all kinds of weaponry, but only light to medium weight armour. Also, though they do not level up as fast, their stats increase more per level than their rivals.

[spoiler=Koley]The Koley are taller, stronger and more agile than their counterparts. But, err,...they are not as "sharp".

Often marked as barbarians, the Koley reside in the land of Seshiru. Just recently discovering the crystals, the Koley are not too proficient in the use of magic. However, their physical attributes out-shines their rivals. They are able to use all armour except for light, and can use only a select few weapons, mostly broadswords, axes, the occasional lance.

Though they level up quickly, their stats don't rise as quickly as their rivals.

 

There is a major difference in the stature of Male and Female Koley. The males often are large and muscular, while the females are only slightly larger than the male Zaad.[spoiler=Koley Apperances][spoiler=Male]

Name: Ken'Tak

Age and Gender: 19 M

Race: Koley

Bio: Though being a great fighter' date=' he doesn't like to be forced to fight, or fight in the first place. Ken'Tak doesn't really have much of a hate towards the Zaad and wants to end the war he is currently in right now. Ken'Tak was born in a small town with a good family, giving him everything he needed and training him to his fullest extent. The only unusual past of his training is that he was taught to use violence as a last resort then as a first thing. Ken'Tak has kept to this training way and tries to talk to people before ripping them apart. He now ventures in the land of the Zaad secretly, looking for something to stop the war between his people and the Zaad.

[b']Personality:[/b] Ken'Tak is a very happy soul, not getting angry much and liking to sit down and talk over a good beer. He will give up all of his traits to help another Koley member for whatever cause, unless it is really messed up. He also likes to charge into battle, full force then to just stay back as a 2nd wave.

Appearance: Ken'Tak is the above the average Koley, a little bit more muscle and intelligence. He stands at 7' tall and wears heavy armor and carries a claymore with blood stains on it. His armor is marked with a bear, for being strong and somewhat smart.

Name: Kerred

Age and Gender: 21/Female

Race: Koley

Bio: Kerred grew up in a small village overlooking a nearby Zaad village. While either civilization was aware of one-another' date=' the two decided to simply ignore the other's existence in order to keep the tentative peace of their mountainous regions, where scraping enough food was hard enough. Though relations between both of the species was strained by the wars erupting all around them, neither seemed willing to break the unspoken agreement both had of tolerating one another rather than getting wrapped up in a long, brutal war where both sides would take heavy losses.

Kerred grew up in this situation. While her father was a simple hunter, she spent her days observing the Zaad town from a higher vantage point; they were a far different people than she knew reality as, and yet still similar enough that the two species could be confused for eachother. This frightened her.

In this combination of fascination and fear, even in the young girl, stirred an inspiration. She conspired an idea to remove the encroaching Zaad without falling to brutal violence; and once they were gone, then the Koley would have more food.

For weeks, the Koley horded up water, hunted and gathered more food than they needed, and extended their stocks. They killed the young of their prey, so that their populations would drop for the moment, and they filled their food coffers to the top.

Finally, after all this preparation, they began their mission of sabotage. They poisoned the waters of their river, eliminated any remaining prey they found, destroyed notable fruit trees and essentially razed the land they were set upon; At times, they even went as far as to raid the Zaad village itself, and sow its field with salt.

Though there were minor scuffles between the two, the Zaad were at a loss. They had no food. And with this simple fact, regardless of their military strength, they were forced to move on, only slight skirmishes that ended with no real fatalities in their wake.

Kerred was pleased at the idea of being able to destroy others without necessarily laying a hand on them, and since then, nothing really has changed. She sees war for what it truly is- a game.

[b']Personality:[/b] Intelligent, cunning and surprisingly cruel, Kerred is definitely one of the smarter Koley. Its difficult to ruffle her feathers, and even more so to try and annoy her- due to her intelligence and general outlook on life, she has a significant superiority complex, especially against the Zaad. Though she dislikes direct fighting as it isn't 'graceful' or 'creative', she is fairly skilled with a sword and not squeamish about cutting people with it.

She is not the type to help others without cause, but she's not entirely sociopathic either. She does make friends, and she'd help an ally without thinking about it twice. However, she is not liable to trust, and even less likely to care about people she doesn't know well.

Appearance: Kerred is much shorter than even a regular Koley female, about 5'4. Like most others of her species, she has a very pale skin tone that seems almost delicate. Her cheeks are drawn slightly gaunt, and her nose is marginally larger than normal and pointed, almost like a bird's beak; her eyes are a light hazel. She has long hair, white with the faintest hint of blue, worn past her shoulders.

She wears a set of light leather armor with plate padding on the shoulders and mail across the stomach and chest, and a longsword is sheathed at her waist. The longsword is of no particular make, simply a good length of well-forged Koley steel for sticking into people.

Job Class: Mage of the color Red.

Name: Sean Kozac

Age/Gender: 22/Male

Race: Zaad

Bio: Sean never wanted to fight in the first place. Unfortunately' date=' he had no other choice. Since the day Sean was 5, he had no memory of a family. It was said that his parents were killed in battle a few days after he was born. When he became 10, he was trained in the class of a Warrior, as his parents were for years. When he was informed of what had happened to his parents at age 12, he didn't want to fight, but wanted revenge by taking out the leader of Koley, Empress Ualeivesa, and ending the war. He also wants to find his own crystal to summon the rumored sword, Alondite, meaning "Blade of 1000 Shining Stars". He would use it against the Empress of Koley to finish the war.

[b']Personality:[/b] Sean would never be thinking about himself. He is always selfless, caring, and loyal to his fellow Zaad members. If needed be, sacrifices would have to be made for friends who are near death.

Appearance: Sean is 6'2", long black hair down to the shoulders, red eyes, a dragon tattoo on his forehead, the average medium weight Zaad armor, and a dragon shield plate on his chest, symbolizing strength and wisdom.

Name: Cross Luxaro

 

Age and Gender: 16 and Male

 

Race: Zaad

 

Job Class: Warrior

 

Bio: Born a quiet boy' date=' Cross was changed into a loudmouth and he isn't with enough time for himself, as he is usually alone training. Cross was the middle child, and now is the oldest, youngest, and middle child, as most of his siblings are dead, and he is the only surviving one left, so Cross would usually stay on his own and train, as he still was feeling pain from his siblings' passing. So, Cross is very adept at weaponry and magic, but he doesn't have people skills. As he doesn't have people skills, he doesn't have friends and so he is very harsh to the people he does know, but he is a good person, just underneath all of the anger and such.

 

[b']Appearance:[/b] A young boy, a bit taller than the usual Zaad, Cross is very buff and built for his young age, and he is active. Usually seen defying the usual fashion customs of their group, Cross is a deviant, and a good one. He is special and talented among them, as he has many scars from weapon training.

 

Personality: As soon as Cross' siblings passed on Cross changed from a quiet, reserved boy to a cocky, loudmouth boy. Even though he might not talk much, when he talks, he has a smart mouth, or he says something out of line, which usually lands him in trouble, and that is the reason he doesn't fight much, because when he fights, he might offend the opponent and end up enraging the person having the warrior kill him and his clothes will end up being stained blood red.

Name: Lucien Da'Lecio

Age and Gender: 19 M

Race:Zaad

Bio: Born in a small village along the sea Lucien was raised as a fisherman' date=' but soon found out he had a nack for swordsmanship quickly picking up the pace and learning how to fight quickly. After months of training he began to wander around the area around his village fighting off random monsters that crossed his way. After years of practice he finally decided that he was going to go and travel the land. At first his parents were against it, but over time they realized that it would be best that he go out and see the world.

Personality: Lucien is bright, goofy, and laid back at times. He tends to joke around often, but also tends to be quiet and laid back when he thinks the occasion calls for it. Lucien's biggest flaw is his tempor easily getting angry often and loosing control of inhibitions. He has been known to attack people when he does.

 

Lucien has a split personality which comes out when he becomes angry. This side is different then normal him, he will kill anyone he thinks is pathetic, in his way, and too cheery. He is cold, calculated, and ruthless at times. He has even stabbed a man for standing in his path.

Personality:aggressive,thinks about himself (he rarely thinks about other people),not late,hes hard to find

Name: Darent Desidera

 

Age and Gender: 23 M

 

Race: Zaad

 

Bio: Orphaned and raised by Koley' date=' Darent joined the Koley ranks to protect his home from the Zaad. Every Zaad he has ever defeated, though, has called him a traitor. Since he has Zaad friends, he is torn between defending his kind or his family.

 

He decided to leave the military to go off on his own. He heard of the magic Crystals at Pure, so he is out there now, looking for Crystal Cavern.

 

[b']Personality:[/b] Darent is caring, carefree, and occasionally careless. He has a very protective instinct in him, though, he usually does not think of fighting. Or, rather, not anymore at least. He has learned to set worries aside and enjoy himself. He loves exploration. That is one of the reasons he joined the military; to go explore new lands. His sense of adventure gets him into..... trouble, occasionally. But to him its just more adventure.

Name: Zaraii Sparkman

Age and Gender: 18 Male

Race: Zaad

Bio: Zaraii was born a happy Zaad child when his parents were killed by an enemy raid. The enemy' date=' luckily, did not find him as a child. Since then, he has been raised by many different people and has no direct love for any of them. As he grew up, he began to steal to support himself. One day, he found a ninja warrior dead in the forest, so he stole his armor and weapons. Since then, he has taught himself to fight and searches for a crystal he has heard of, mostly to sell it, he's sure its worth a pretty penny.

Personality: Zaraii is a jokester. He is sarcastic a lot and makes jokes all the time.

Ken'Tak gently put his sword into his sheath. "There. No more monsters in my way." Panthers had been in the mountains he was searching in, and he didn't want them to interfere with his affairs. As he grabbed the last loot from the Panther he killed, he continued forward out of the cave. He really felt something was going to be in this cave, hopefully something that would help the war to be done with.

Cross woke up in the mountains, in a cave, which was his new bedroom as the fighting was too much for him, and so he decided to retreat to the mountains and live there, as he wanted to go and get some fish, he knew that there was a spring not too far from where he was and it had fish in there, so he could eat some meat besides the animals running around.

 

Cross grabbed a spear he fashioned out of a dagger (minus the handle and sheath) and a long staff.

 

"Got a long day today." Cross thought as he went out towards the spring.

 

 

OOC: A DIFFERENT cave than jerukoo's.

[Hydra of Ages]

Kerred muttered to herself as she examined her surroundings, the vague scent of sweet grass wafting past her pointed nose. She chuckled almost grimly, glancing between twin lines of mountaintops between either sides of her vision. The path she stood on was nothing more than a well-beaten game trail, obviously run down by deer as they fled from large monsters and predators, more likely to eat them.

 

The sun was beginning to set towards the west, the great ridge of mountain that rose up to block her path seemingly devouring it as it past by. It would be dark soon, and likely the things that the prey had been escaping from would come out to play.

 

She fingered at the hilt of her sword uneasilly, eyes twitching watchfully from side to side. A misstep could be fatal, the Koley realized grimly.

Luicien walked around in a small fiend. He let the gentle breeze blow through his hair smiling as he looked up at the sky. "Ah.. it is so peaceful tonight." He looked around seeing a few chocobos run around him. "Heh.. the Chocobos are busy tonight." He stopped and grabbed his sword spreading his legs at shoulder length apart. "What is that?" His eyes widened as he felt something closing in. "Fifty meters.... and closing." He closed his eyes tightly before standing straight up. "Just.. another chocobo..."

 

He began to walk along a path slowly heading towards the coast. "I think I will head to the Sea and check on what is there." He continued to make his way to the east thinknig to himself quietly.

Volux walks into the middle of a forest "now,why did i come to this forest again? " he asked himself "oh yeah, stupid me" he said and he walked a little and saw a mountain "hmm, a mountain?, guess ill get stronger if i get to the top and maybe ill find some creatures here" he said.

He walked and walked "I'm tired, good thing that i have some water" Volux said and drank some water "thats better" he said and walked.

Ken'Tak entered the new part of the cave, the light blinded him for a second, and he regained his eye sight. As he regined his vision, he noticed the cave material was different in this area. A lot different. It was made of entirely of mithril, or some other shiny mineral. HE wasn't sure what is was, but he knew something was in here. He looked around some more but didn't see anything else of much importance.

Luicien continued to make his way along the path to the coast. "This place seems nice." He closed his eyes as the breeze from the cost caught him. "Ah..." He continued along the path before quickly dashing towards the sea. "Woohoo!" He ran at speeds that most people couldn't reach.

 

After a few miles he stopped by a small lake. "I think I will rest here." He stretched flopping down.

Volux was walking and he heard a voice "Volux, give up you won`t reach the top of that mountain!" the voice said

"i wont give up!, besides im not even climbing that mountain" Volux said,he pulled his sword out of his sheath "i recognize that sound,your the one who killed my father!" he said "your gonna pay for that!" he said

"you dont understand do you?" the voice asked

"show yourself!" Volux said

"ok,if you climb the top of that mountain" the voice said

"ok,ill climb that mountain" volux said.

[The Dragon Duelist]

He woke up a few hours later looking around. "W-What...? I gues I passed out." He yawned stretching lightly. "Well.. It seems like it's time to start moving again." He stood up dusting his clothes off befoe slowly putting his armor back on. "Okay." He stretched groaning as he did. "Let's go!" He dashed off towards the coast once again at top speed. "Woohoo!" He hit a small boulder in the middle of the path jumping up with great strength so he could see how far he was from the sea. "Just a few more miles!"

 

Level 12

Cross was beginning his journey to the top of the mountain, and he was running as he knew that others could not run like him, and that he could jump very high, so, he jumped up and grabbed the nearest rock and began climbing until he reached level ground again, and soon began running again he saw a cave, and stopped to rest as he was waiting for his energy to come back. Cross drew his sword and held it in case he had to fight.

Volux walked and walked until he was in the bottom of the mountain "that mountain's big" he said "huh?,whats that sound" he said and 5 ghouls appeared "well well well,what do we have here?" he said "5 ghouls?,piece of cake" he said[spoiler=battle]Volux slashed the 1st ghoul and stabbed him so it died then he attacked the 2nd ghoul 2 times then he attacked the 3rd ghoul then the 2nd and 3rd ghoul attacked him so he slashed them then stabbed the 2nd ghoul and it died,so he attacked the 3rd and 4th ghoul so the 3rd ghoul died then the 4th and 5th ghoul attacked him so he slashed them and attacked the 4th ghoul 3 times so it died then the 5th ghoul attacked him so he attacked it 5 times so it died

"well all thats left is to reach the top of that mountain" volux said and began to climb the mountain.

 

Level 12

Darent fell down, exhausted. He had been climbing this mountain for quite some time. The one thing that kept him going was a shining light that he thought was Crystal Cavern. Suddenly, a Golem jumped out in front of him. "Ugh..too....tired....but.." He pulled out his gunblade and rushed for the Golem. He jumped up and slashed the Golem across the chest, while firing a shot into it. The Golem falls and fades away. "Ugh....must....rest......no....potion.." Darent pulls out his last potion and drinks it. GHe gets up, revitalized, and continues up.

 

Finally he reaches the source of the light. He is excited to see its a cave, but, disappointingly, made of mithril, not crystal. "Damn...oh well." He sees another figure in the cave. "Hey, who are you?"

[Kōsuke Ueki]

In another part of the mountains, Sean is being pursued by Koley assassins. He runs as fast as he can while avoiding daggers. That is until he was cornered by a rock wall. The two appeared before him. I guess I have no choice. he thought. He unsheathed his Longsword and prepared a stance.

In defeat, Sean quickly ran up the wall and missed a dagger from one of the assassins. As he landed hard on the other side of the wall, he saw a Mythril cave, along with Darent and another figure hidden in the darkness in the cave. "Hey..." he began to Darent in serious pain. "Do you...have...a Potion on you? And hurry...I've got...Koley assassins...on my ass..." He slowly got up, but then fell again, unconscious.

 

Level 10

"What?!" Darent said, as the conflict in his heart began anew. What should he do? Suddenly, he got an idea. He picked up the man's unconscious body, and dragged him into the unknown depths of the cave, where the assassins won't be able to see him. The Koley assassins arrived, and recognized Darent.

 

"Darent! Where did the Zaad go?"

 

"He went that way!" He said as he pointed in a random direction, and watched as the assassins followed his finger. He sighed, and walked back to the figure. He doesn't have a potion, but-. "Ugh, guess I'm gunna have to use it." Darent pulls out his emergency Pheonix Down and uses it on the man.

when volux reached the top of the mountain he saw a wall, so he walked and walked til he reached the other side of the wall and he saw darent and sean. "you!,yeah you" volux said to darent "so,youre a zaad,your gonna pay for what you did!". he pulled his sword out of its sheath,so he sprinted towards darent and slashed him. "is that enough?!" volux said to darent,then he slashed him twice,"why did you killed my dad?! and wheres my mom?!?!" he said to darent.

"WHO?WHAT?WHERE?WTF?" Darent yelled as this Zaad attacked him. He had killed many people while he was in the military, but would someone really remember him like this? "Stop!!" Darent yelled as he blocked the next attack with his Requiem. Darent jumped over the Zaad, pointed the gunblade at the center his back, and fired, knocking him back. Darent quickly pulled out his final item, a Silver Hourglass, just in case...

"dam..." volux said "did you attacked bloodstone village....?" he asked,then he was daydreaming about his father "NO!!!" he said while daydreaming "DAD!!!!,NO!!!!",then he woke up from his day dream "huh?,i was daydreamin,your not the killer" volux said

"no,volux,hes the killer!" the voice that he heard earlier said

"he isnt!,now shut the hell up!" volux said and stood up "im sorry that i....well,attacked you i thought your the one who killed my dad,sorry,here take a potion,maybe youll need it later,are you looking for the crystal cavern?cuz im looking for it" volux said to darent and gave him a potion.

 

level 13

Ken'Tak turned around. He heard a scream, coming from his behind. He turned around to see a Zaad, attacking another Zaad. Jason pulled out his sword and ran over to the two. He kicked the one attacking the other and he landed on the ground. He pulled out his sword and yelled a battle cry. "Grrrrrrraaaaag!" He lunged forward at the Zaad, commencing a battle.

Ken'Tak's strike missed the Zaad, he rolled over to his right, away from the sword. This angered Ken'Tak, making him strike again, this time more precise. It his the Zaad's arm, making him screa in pain and fall to the ground. It quickly got back up, getting an adrenaline rush and jumped at Ken'Tak, dazed that the Zaad had the strength to get up, Ken'Tak fell back a little from the strike. The Zaad then punched Ken'Tak over and over again, until Ken'Tak returned to his senses and punched the Zaad off of him, knocking him out.

 

 

Ken'Tak huffed a little then turned to the other Zaad. "You okay? You took quite the beating there." Ken'Tak walked towards the fallen Zaad, offering a hand. "Come on, take the hand to help you up."

Darent felt a little dizzy, but managed to pull himself up. He used the potion the Zaad gave him. Well, at least this time he knows which side to fight on. Darent picked up his gunblade and lunged at the Koley, knocking him against the mithril cave wall. Darent quickly used his Silver Hourglass to cast Stop on the Koley. While his opponent was paralyzed, Darent pointed his gunblade at the Koley's face. "What's wrong with you?! We were doing fine!"

Cross walked by when he saw two people fighting, he jumped in the middle and soon prepared to fight as he saw the others and he grabbed his weapon but when he saw the people he decided to relax as they did not seem hostile at all to him and they seemed actually quite nice, so he sat on a rock and waited for them to notice him.

 

"I wonder when they'll notice me." Cross thought to himself.

Ken'Tak twitched slightly. "I just saw fighting. So I wanted it to stop." Ken'Tak changed his focus to the cave. "Quite a cave here isn't it?" Ken'Tak looked around some more at the mithril. "When I entered this cave, I thought it was going to be something to stop the fighting, not to continue it." Ken'Tak sighed slightly then returned his focus to Darent. "Oh yes, your probably thinking to yourself, 'What? A Koley that doesn't like to fight?'. Well yes, my kind are usually ones to fight instead of doing other things. Right now I'm trying to end this war thing between the Koley and Zaad, so if you let me return to my searching I would appreciate it."

"Well," Darent said, as he took the gunblade from the Koley's face, "fighting adds to fighting, dont you think?" Darent searched through his pockets, but found nothing. "Sorry. No more items. I cant remove Stop. Looks like your stuck there until the spell wears off. By the way, you must be from a small town. Lotsa Koley know me, and the reverse, too!" Darent acted proud. Darent looked to the Zaad, then back to the Koley. "My name's Darent. And you two?"

"Ken'Tak." He coughed a little. "And about the fighting adds to fighting thing, sometimes knocking someone out is the best solution to stop fighting, right?" Ken'Tak grinned a little then felt a little control over his body coming back to him. "So your known by many Koley then, eh? Even though my village is small, it is a very informed one. Our village gets all the news that any town gets." Ken'Tak twitched his arm slightly and he smiled. "Looks like I'm getting a little back to my senses."

"Yea, Stop wears off easily when there's no struggling." Darent said as he checked his pockets once more, still finding nothing. Suddenly, three golems appear and attack. Darent readies his gunblade. "Don't worry, I'll protect you." He says. The first golem tries to attack Darent, but he jumps over it and shoots it in the head. It fades. The second one rushes for Darent, the last rushes for Ken'Tak. Darent runs for the last one and jumps in between it and Ken'Tak, startling it a little. Darent slashes the golem across the chest, sending it backwards, into the other golem. They fade.

 

"Whew..." Darent sighs. "What's with all these monsters? I mean, there were always monsters, but never this many. Something's not right.....I can feel it."

 

Suddenly, two Zaad soldiers pop out of nowhere and attack both of us, just as Ken'Tak's body was relieved of its paralysis.
