Peter Cheng cheated?

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I read the YCS final match and I've heard multiple people say "Peter Cheng cheated." While I don't believe people are saying this because of some weird prejudice, what happened and where is the proof? I find it hard to believe that Machina Gadgets won the tournement as much as the next guy, but what happened?

People say he summoned red gadget while he had green gadget in his hand so he searched any card in his deck then showed the green gadget.

I don't condone cheating in any way shape or form, especially at a finals match at an SJC but... wow, that's really really clever. o_o

My friend pulled that crap on me since he was tired of losing. I scooped after I saw him search out a Machina Fortress with Yellow Gadget and wouldn't play him for a week.

To quote Yugi

"The Heart of the cards doesnt exist. Its all about the Fart of the cards."

Fix'ed.

Also' date=' most people cheat.

Plus, that's not technically cheating, right? It makes no real difference in the end.

How doesn't it make a difference? It means any of the Gadgets can search ANY card in the deck, including stuffs like Mirror Force.

Oh...

Sorry for my stupidity.

So this guy selected any great card in his deck and added it to his hand?

I get it.

Yep. He just grabbed whatever he needed at the moment and added to his hand if he happened to have a copy of the Gadget he was to search for in his hand.

Everyone cheats.

No.

Well' date=' most.

.That make it to the top 8.

..Probably top 16.

Well, I'd say that all depends on what exactly you consider to be 'cheating'. I mean, I barely shuffle when I finish a duel, so is it my fault my Soul Exchanges are close to my Monarchs? My Mind Controls close to my Tuners?

And if my opponent does a halfassed job of shuffling my deck, leaving my dark monsters close to Allure of Darkness, etc etc. then... who am I to complain? It benefits me to leave my cards close to one other, and it's less work for me.

But some people call that 'stacking'.

... tl;dr: I don't condone cheating in any way shape or form

I hate it when I'm playing Dominion and people shuffle poorly and then always draw their Villages with their terminal Actions.

tl;dr: I play YVD.

I throne room a throne room into bridge and a throne room into 2 more bridges and with my 15 gold buy 3 provinces, ending the game and giving the buyer (me:D) just 1 more point than the next closest.

(this actually happened. I just couldn't belive it.)

anyway, I shuffle my opponent's deck throughly, and they shuffle mine. anyone who doesn't agree gets rules lawered.

It's a sad thing to say but, it's your fault if you can't catch a cheater. Judges can't always be there next to your opponent and watch his every move. It's your responsability as a player to learn how to catch a cheater or how not to get cheated.

This move isn't possible if you ask your opponent to show you the card before adding it to his hands. Also, stacking isn't possible if you shuffle well.

I have many stories about people who cheated against me. Most of them I never realised until I learned how they were doing it. I even called a judge because I caught someone cheating (I even called the card he stacked) and the head judge did nothing about it.

I've had a 9-Province turn from Throne Rooming 4 Bridges. Those two plus draw power is sick, and Alchemy just makes it sicker.
