You act like I'm Christian. <_____<

My point was that extremists are not misconstruing the Koran, but rather are looking at it from another approach. I'd bring up the Bible, but you see a lot less Christians trying to kill "infidels". Or at least nowadays.

To me

Bingo. I hate it when people say a religious text means one thing, when it is obviously poorly and vaguely written so that it could mean numerous things. Bombing some non-Islamic people to one person comes from the same text as donating to charity for another.

Well, you know what my opinions are on the matter, that's all I have to say.

I'm pretty sure it was clearly written there and just horribly misconstrued. Likewise with Bibles and other religious texts. While the precise content is debatable it's rather easy to assume that the radical viewpoints are complete rubbish if you give the books a good read-through.

That's not necessarily true. They're just not as heavily scrutinized and documented. The Christians get seen in such a good light (particularly in the USA) that people ignore them when they do something stupid. There are plenty of Christians trying to kill infidels, and there are plenty of Jews trying to kill infidels.

It's just because ignorant America saw a picture of a dude with a turban claiming to have been the brains of 9/11 that the Muslims take so much sheet nowadays.

Well, it's all in the way you read it. Everyone has their own baggage that they bring to the reading of anything. If one person is generally kind-hearted, they will read something as giving to charity, while those with hatred in their eyes will consider bombing a church. All religious texts are unclear. They want you to make up your mind about what things mean because otherwise they are certain to contradict themselves.

I agree with your Turban comment, tbqh. We are in such a racist country. :3

Apologies for my misconception; I haven't brushed up on religious killings since a few months. I guess I assumed Muslims were the main "religious killers" because those are mainly the population of people I see on the news, but that brings me back to your racist America comment, which is absolutely valid.

I thought Revelation was pretty clear-cut. You know, big volcanoes, rising oceans, three horses, idiots playing the trumpet...

lol

Christians have always been looked upon with disdain as far as I've noticed, and you seem to be saying they commit murders in greater numbers than Islam extremists. Quite clearly your perceptions are distorted.

I agree with Corporal Atlas.

Black people call each other "niggas" but white people can't say it because "it's racist." But' date=' Hispanics, and plenty of blasians can say it. Really, it's a stupid word to begin with.

Yes, it is a stupid word. But some people take it to heart, because it was once a derogatory term used to describe African American ancestors, meaning dirt, trash, or sub-species. As long as the word isn't used with racist intent towards me, I honestly don't mind.
