New splice- Mawrow

There are a bunch of shading issues. One of the most important parts of making a well-blended splice is that you make all the shading consistant. The head, wings, and tail all have highlights, but the body has none. I could be wrong, but it also looks like you removed all the shading from the fur area that joins the head and wings to the body. Also, although it's a bit nitpicky, you also forgot to account for the large head blocking the light on the body.

Some of your colors don't seem to match either. The pink on the left wing doesn't really match the red on the right, and the neck and head seem to use a darker shade of brown for shading than the rest of the body. When I splice, I usually make a color pallete first that has the colors I want to change and the colors I'm changing them to under them. Try it, it helps, and you can always delete it when your done.

The tail is probably the worst part of the splice, because the shading on it is so bizarre. It also doesn't attach quite right. I'd say get rid of it, but you could fix it if you want. You also have some problems with the neck you scratched. The neck doesn't taper quite right, and all your borders are black. Scratching's hard though, so don't worry about that too much.

In short:

Be consistant with your shading (And account for things that may suddenly now block the light)

Make sure you have a matching pallete of colors

Scratching is hard, so avoid it when you can and reference when you can't

Honestly, your splice isn't that bad, so don't get discouraged. Some of your mistakes are higher level issues (like the reshading) that you shouldn't worry about for now. At least you have the basics down. Anyway, I hope this helps.
