I don't think you really need Sapphia, and you should go for 3 Gemresis and some Card Trooper/Ryko. That should let you mill out a lot of Gemknights and the Fusion. I'd also include Summoner Monk and probably PWWB and Sniper Hunter.

 

Really, Fusion should be giving you infinite discard fodder - that's the best thing Gemknights have going for them, so use it to its full advantage.
