Saiba Aisu
Hello, everyone. So, anyways, I know I haven't been very active as a cardmaker lately, but hopefully I'll be able to get back into the swing of things soon enough. As you know, I recently decided to focus on extending my cardmaking work for my current writing project, Days of the Black Apple. In this case, I decided to give you guys a sneak peak at another of the many Japanese-styled cards cards which will be featured in my current writing project, Days of the Black Apple. This card is further support to the Deck of a central character who has already been introduced in the story. As always, your comments and suggestions are appreciated. === Light of the Divine Conqueror - Original Image by Jazin Kay; Edited by Saiba Aisu. Negate the Normal Summon or Special Summon of an opponent's non-LIGHT monster, destroy it, and then remove it from play. This card's effect cannot be negated. touzaikokon
I like it. I think you can just say "negate the Summon" and that will cover it. Also, having this card's power be absolute is a bit OP'd, IMO. But I like it, and the Japanese is a great touch. 9/10.
Saiba Aisu
Well, I wanted to make it unable to negate Flip Summons; it's a small clause of a difference, but in some situations, it may help balance this card out slightly. Although the OCG is perfect, I can see where you're coming from when you say that. As to its power being "absolute", it's a better/worse version of Solemn Judgment or Horn of Heaven, depending upon the situation in question. I just thought it would be a nice piece of support to counter Decks that depend upon one Synchro Monster in specific. Thanks for the high rating and taking the time to post such a constructive remark. More comments, please!
Yang Xiao-Long
Simple yet effective. I like it.This would be a great addition to LIGHT Decks, and it's great to see some LIGHT support nowadays, since a lot of people are apparently dueling with DARK Decks. Awesome card10/
Saiba Aisu
Thanks very much, SJ1, I'm glad you like the card and can appreciate the useful support it adds to LIGHT-centric Decks in the current format. I think it would definitely be an asset in a Lightsworn Deck, seeing as they tend to accumulate so many monsters in the Graveyard. Thanks for the perfect rating and for taking the time to posting such a positive remark. More comments, please!
Chevalier
A 1-1 that can't be negated and RFP's an opponent's monster. Playable but slightly OP'd.
Saiba Aisu
I agree with you that it's powerful, Chevz, but it's also useful support that Light Decks really need at the moment in the current format. It's basically a better/worse Vanquishing Light, when you think about it... I never thought I'd see the day I started supporting Lightsworn Decks. More comments, please! BulletMan
As good as bottemless Trap Hole, which is semi'd. Very easy to use, you don't really need a build that focuses on LIGHT's, just any old LIGHT monster will do. Sure it doesn't do Flips, but really? Not many people do that anyways. It can't be negated, and the monster is removed. Broken, simple, very abusable. Art is okay. 6/10 :/ needs balancing.
Saiba Aisu
Generally you don't see Light monsters in Decks that don't focus on them, especially in this format. Also, the card has its up and downs, but it's certainly competitive. I'm sorry you find the effect "simple" (it's anything but) and the artwork "okay" (you're kidding, right?) but you can't please everyone, I guess. At least you bumped the thread for me, so thanks for that. More comments, please!
