Inferno surrenders advantage and Barrier offers negation when you least need it. Infernities are about controlling the game, not pulling off an OTK as soon as possible. It's subpar because it surrenders advantage while doing nothing to slow down the opponent. Barrier negates things when you need it... just make one of your synchros doom dragon. Most of the time there are better options than Doom Dragon. And what about when they MST/Dust your first Launcher?
