While looking for his "opponent" he did however feel someone else in the area. "Hmm...I sense envy nearby.....that makes everything so much better" Seth yawned as he sat down on a bench. "ooh, I sense Lust as well, looks like I'm in the right place....well, I'll say hi to them later, for now, I'mma take a nap." he laid down on the bench and soon after started snoring, his deck started having a faint dark glow, as if trying to tell him to wake his lazy self up, he still hadn't even gotten his Duel Runner, and without it the turbo duels would be impossible.

Aster sat in a chair sipping coffee. "Ah, the good things in life." Aster looked around and saw a poster on the wall for a tounment. "Might as well see if this decks what it's cracked up to be."

 

"Are you kidding me?" Aster had just triend to see if he could get into the tournment and learned that it had already started. "If you relly want to enter try the tournment head Derek, i don't know where he is but, if you can find him and convince him your in." Said the man in the ticket box. "Great, now all i have to do is look all around town for one person." Aster sighed.

Elliot noticed Yamato and began to speak. "Umm, how do you know my name's Elliot? Have we met before?" Elliot asked hesitantly. "(I'm sure I never met this person before..... Well, I do kinda have a bad memory, but still, I would probably remember meeting people.....)" Elliot became weary of Yamato and attempted to stay calm.

"When is the damn tournament gonna start?.... I'm getting rather bored...." Just then Dan's cell phone began to rang. Dan picked up his cell phone and noticed Nick was the caller. "Hello Nick.... I was getting bored, and it seems you have perfect timing.... So any news of interest?"

Derek, having returned to the stadium grounds, paused at the sound of his name. "Not as far as you might think," he said, walking over. He could feel the Wicked Avatar's curiosity simmering, but he ignored it, straightening his suit jacket. "What can I do for you?" he asked, with a calm smile, looking the young man over with polite interest. "I am Derek, one of the tournament organizers, but not the director. Depending on the concern, I can try to address it myself or take it up with him."

Yamato grimaced and told him curtly, "The man here with you said you were called 'Elliot'." Then his face softened. "We haven't met before. So, you're going to be using Brionac for the tournament?" he added. He attempted a reassuring smile. His right forearm seared at the mention of Brionac, but he was used to it. It always happened near powerful duel monsters. He ignored it and sat back down, but not taking his eyes off Elliot.

"Hi, um by chance is it poisable to make a later entry to your tournment?" Aster asked looking over the man standing before him. Something wasen't right abut him. Aster could hear dark wispers comming from inside his deck they even sounded kinda fimular to him, strange... but Aster didn't have time to think about that now. "I'll take any open position if yu'll let me in, I even have a one of a kind deck."

Derek chuckled good-naturedly. "I'm sorry, but we aren't accepting new applicants. To be accepted, you would have had to have received an invite and have shown up to the qualification round held all day yesterday." He tapped his chin thoughtfully. An idea had just come to him.

 

"Here, come ths way," he said, gesturing with a hand and walking down a hallway. "May I ask your name? I can check my records to see if there was some sort of a mix-up, like an invite coming late, or whether you were qualified."

Elliot smiled at Yamato. "Oh I see, hehe.... For a minute there I was having an attack of paranoia, but thanks for reassuring me that I'm not crazy, hehe." Elliot responded while scratching the back of his head.

 

Frank came back in and went towards Elliot. "Your Duel Runner is ready to be used. Now I will need you to sign this waver holding you responsible for any kind of damage to it."

 

"Oh alright." Elliot signed the document and was then given a copy which he placed in his pocket. Frank then walked off towards the storage area. Elliot then turned his attention back to Yamato. "Yep, Brionac is my favorite card and my best also. So what kind of card will you be using? Oh and by the way, I didn't caught your name."

Aster Smiled. "My names Aster, Aster Muti." This could work, even if he wasen't on the list, Derek seemed like a nice guy for the most part. "Or maby some family history can help with entry," Aster took out his family deck. "There are known as the Ordean gurdians, a one of a kind set belonging to my family for ages." Aster said smileing. If this didn't work mabey mr. Franklin could help out...

Are you just going to edit a post and continue to add more and more? I'd hate to see this get locked because you "ignored the advanced clause" when really, it was just the forum /fail-ing.

 

Nick shrugged, even though talking over the cellphone wouldn't show it, it was just something he did. Talking was moving, "Nothing much other than me giving Madeline my ace card so she doesn't bite all kinds of ass in the tournament. Not really sure what I'm gonna use myself now, but I told her to keep it. Ah well, I'm an idiot, but I'll figure something out, right? Where are you?" he went in the bathroom to take off the Zack Kynto disguise he was wearing at the time. After all, if he was to see Dan, there was no reason he needed to wear the disguise.

"Muti, you say?" Derek mused, leading the boy into his office and taking a folder from the desk, flicking through it quickly. "Muti...Muti...Ah, here we are. Aster Muti," he said, scanning a small sheet of paper.

 

"However, I will reiterate that the qualification round was held all day yesterday and only those who won their matches were permitted to advance. Therefore, the only way I can permit you to join the other qualified duelists is if you manage to win a qualification match. Unfortunately, there are no opponents for you to be tested against and the only person I would trust to be assigned to a LATE entry's arrival would be...me." He chuckled.

 

"So how about it? I'll test you, and if you win, I'll let you in," Derek asked, smiling. "The next round is starting soon, but we have time and I'm sure I can find somewhere to squeeze you in."

Aster smiled, dueling had become some what less fun since his...experance but this should still be a blast. "Your on, i'll go first." Aster took out his duel dick from his bag and drew his hand. "I'll start by summoning Ordean Glider in defence mode [lv 3 1200/1800] and thanks to his effect I can summon any lv 2 or below monster in my hand so I sumon Ordean Sage in defence mode [lv 2 300/100], I end my turn." Aster said smileing, this was going to be easy.

"I see.... You gave Madeline your ace just so she wouldn't cause any trouble? Are you sure that's the only reason, hehe....." Dan asked jokingly. "Anyways, I'm in my private viewing room right now which is no good if there isn't a duel to watch. I wonder what's delaying the Tournament Director to begin the damn tournament already, it's getting quite bothersome.... I'm rather bored right now, do you have any ideas on how to pass the time?" Dan asked in a bored tone of voice.

Derek chuckled. "Whoa, whoa...you're quite eager. Enthusiasm is good for a lad," he mused, removing his larger suit jacket and picking up his Duel Disk from his desk and sliding it onto his arm. From his deck box, he withdrew his deck and slid it into the deck slot, the automatic shuffler activating. From there, he drew his starting hand.

 

"Two monsters in defense mode?" he noted thoughtfully. "Well, let's see what I've got for that."

 

He flicked one card gracefully from the top of his deck. "Not bad, I summon Naturia Antjaw!" he stated calmly. A small insect monster appeared, making a slight hiss. (Lvl 2, 400/200)

 

"I'll set a card facedown and command Antjaw to attack your Ordean Sage!"

"Whenever a Ordean sage is destroyed I can add any spell card from my deck to my hand." Aster took a spell from his deck that he knew all to well along with his card this turn. "I play the field Ordean's Sacred Ritual, whenever i's on the field it acts a ritual card for a summoning and I think I'll put it to the test, by tributeing my Glider I can ritual summon Ordean Holy Knight from my hand [lv 6 2100/2000] and wait till you see it's effect, if the top card on my deck is a trap, all your facedowns are destroyed so lets see what it is," Aster flips the top card over to reveal a trap card. "Well how about that, and without any facedowns your Naturia Antjaw is getting attacked by my knight," Ordean Holy Knight charges at Naturia Antjaw and the monster goes up in a wave of flames. "I end my turn."

"You move so quickly, and so impatiently. I too use monsters with effects, and I'm afraid you activated mine. Whenever my opponent Special Summons a monster, I can Special Summon a Level 3 or below Naturia from my deck and I choose the level 1 Naturia Mosquito! I shall place it in defense position" Derek stated simply, sliding a card from his deck and placing it on his disk.

 

The ant monster made an odd buzzing sound and was quickly joined by a mosquito of some sort. (lvl 1, 200/300)

 

Derek showed no reaction to his facedown card being destroyed, merely nodded. "Naturia Mosquito cannot be declared as an attack target while I have another Naturia monster on the field. Also, all battle damage I would take involving another Naturia monster is dealt to my opponent instead. That is your penalty for being rash."

 

He drew his card. "You must slow down a few paces if you want things to work out in this match," he continued. "I summon Naturia Beans!" Some cute bean-like monsters materialized on the field. (level 2, 100/1200) "Naturia Beans will attack your Holy Knight. Thanks to Naturia Mosquito, you take the battle damage! Also, once per turn, Naturia Beans can't be destroyed in battle!"

 

Derek chuckled softly. "Turn End."

Aster took a deep breath, he just lost almost half his life points in one turn. "Sorry, never been good at slowing down, Here goes, I draw." Aster looked at his hand. "I activate Ordeans Revenge, so by destroying one Ordean on my field, I can take out all your monsters and since this isn't battle your beans kick the bucket two." Aster smiled as his knight exploded takeing all of Derek's monsters with it. "I summon Ordean Blader in attack mode [lv 4 1900/1200] now his effect activates, if my top card is a spell he can attack once for every monster on your field destroyed this turn," Aster flips a spell card from his deck. "Sorry but this is going to hurt... a lot." Ordean blader attacks Derek with a dubble slash. "I end my turn."

Derek braced himself from both blows from the Blader, smirking slightly, even as his LP dropped to 4200. "Interesting," he mused, drawing his card. His eyes flicked through his hand.

 

"I summon Bird of Roses! Then I place a card facedown and end my turn," he stated with a smile. A flowery bird flew into the air, doing an aerial flip before settling down before Derek. (Lvl 4, 1800/1500). The hologram of a facedown card appeared behind the bird.

"Is that all you can do, o well on with the duel." Aster drew his next card. "I play my ritual Rebirt spell card, and with this I can bring back a lv 7 or below ritual monster from my grave, so naturly my choice is Ordean Holy Knight [lv 6 2100/2000], next i'll sacrfive them both to ritual summon Ordean Dark Magican [lv 8 2800/2450] and with it's special effect all your facedowns are frozen so i'll attack your bird with my magican." Aster smiled. "I end my turn."

Derek chuckled. "Thank you. When Bird of Roses is attacked while in attack position, destroyed in battle, and sent to the graveyard, I can Special Summon 2 Plant Tuner monsters from my deck in defense position. I choose Naturia Tulip and Naturia Rosewhip!" A tulip and an effeminate flower bloomed onto Derek's field.

 

(lvl 2, 600/1500), (lvl 3, 400/1700)

 

"My turn," Derek stated, drawing his card. "I summon Naturia White Oak!" he announced, a tree-like being appearing on the field. (Lvl 4, 1800/1400) "Now I tune my level four Naturia White Oak with my level two Naturia Tulip to Synchro Summon my Naturia Balkion!"

 

The tulip rose into the air, splitting into two green rings, which the tree passed through, fading away into stars and a beam of light split through the stars. From within the light appeared a large, serpentine dragon. (Lvl 6, 2500/1800)

 

"Now, I'll tune my level three Rosewhip with my level six Balkion," Derek continued. The remaining flower broke into three rings which surrounded the dragon and split it into six stars. "I Synchro Summon my Naturia Leodrake!" A large lion-like monster appeared, roaring loudly.

 

(Lvl 9, 3000/1800)

 

"Leodrake, attack his Ordean Magician," Derek commanded, smirking slightly. "That will conclude my move."

Yamato was deep in thought, considering how he would continue. He took out the card he would be using and brushed it lightly with his index finger. It was "Crimson Beast MK III - Divine Phoenix". He held it out to him. I guess this would be better to cover me than Kazeca. I'll just settle with him instead. Yamato had dueled someone with a "Crimson Beast" Deck and had lost, and decided to follow in that person's footsteps. "Oh, and, my name? It's Yamato," he answered shortly.

Aster drew his card, he was running out of stragities, but next turn hed be able to summon a true powerhouse. "I activate polmerisation, to fuse my Ordean Shining Swordman and my Ordean Dark Swordsman in my hand to form Ordean Twilight Edge in defence mode [lv 5 2000/1200] and his effect activates, if the top card on my deck has the name ordean I get to drasw a card for every one on the field, and what do you know, i must be lucky so thats 3 cards for me." Aster drew and smiled, this was going to be a fun game. "I set one card facedown, and end my turn." Aster laufghed, go ahead and hack away at my edge, it wont do you any good.

"Wow, this card looks awesome. And really strong as well." Elliot complimented on the card as he looked at it closely. "Here you go, oh, and it's nice to meet you Yamato." Elliot handed back the card and gave a friendly smile towards Yamato. "Anyways, I wish you good luck in the tournament. It seems with these new rules, we might all need a little luck, hehe. But I also heard there will be regular turbo duels as well along with the new dueling system. So Yamato, are you just waiting here all alone by yourself?" Elliot asked in a friendly tone.

"Interesting," Derek noted, drawing. Although Aster evidently relied on luck to get effects, the deck seemed to piece itself together, like a strange puzzle. "I summon Naturia Mantis!" An insect monster materialized beside the lion, eyeing Aster's monster. (Lvl 4, 1700/1500)

 

"Naturia Mantis, attack his Ordeon Edge!"

Yamato, once more, thought for a moment. Then he nodded, taking back his card. "Yeah, I'm here myself. Same for you? I'm guessing not," he added quickly, in case he was offended by his previous tone. "I'm pretty nervous about this new system; I haven't heard of or tried it before. Still, I doubt it's going to be that bad." He shuffled his feet and readjusted his position to get more comfortable. Hm..., he thought, then a light came off in his head. "Oh," Yamato said, "Did you rent your Duel Runner? I'm guessing that because of that guy who had you sign for damage."
