BANZAI!!!!

Lucas blinked at the appearance of the two monsters. He had a bad feeling about this..."I have no response. Go on," he said, biting his lip. In one move, his opponent had summoned the materials for a Level 7 Synchro monster. As all of his opponent's cards were new and unknown to him, he didn't know what to expect. His hand began to shake a little, but he forced himself to remain calm. In order for him to lose this turn, the minimum attack strength of his opponent's monster had to be 3200.

“I also activate my Dark Flame boost, with this I’ll increase my Tori’s level by 1, unless your against that?” he jokes as the card has a way to negate it anyway. “But it’s just nice to ask you anyway….I just want to be sure….because if not…..” he ends his sentence there.

Increase the Level of 1 Fiend-type Tuner monster by 1 until the End Phase. If your opponent chains to this card you can remove from play 1 Fiend-type monster from your Graveyard to Negate the cards activation.

Lucas' feeling of dread intensified as Seth spoke and he shook his head, before realizing that wasn't the best way to reply that he didn't have anything to respond with. "No, go on," he said, his mouth starting to feel dry. His two monsters seemed so helpless all of a sudden.

Derek chuckled to himself as he watched the duel. If he had to guess, this was going to be the last move of the duel. Rather unfortunate for the boy who had done so well in recovering from his crippling disadvantage. Oh well, that was how things turned out sometimes.

"Then I'll tell you this...you did well...." his eyes changed under his visor, becoming sympathetic to his opponent, but Azamira and Tori had a slight smile, Azamira had a devious smile. Seth then sighed deeply and began his summoning. " The Dark Lord of Destruction arises, allow our opponent to feel pain for facing us, Appear before us, Vortex Guardian-Hametsu!"

Both girls open a portal and enter, allowing Hametsu to walk out of the dark portal, he expands his wings and flies forward. "Now then, I prioritize his effect I pay 1000 Life Points to destroy every card in our hands and field, except him and then...you take 300 damage for every card destroyed....I can't attack this turn, but I don't need too....Hametsu...finish this off Vortex Tempest!"

Hametsu unsheathes his sword and at the edge a powerful beam shoots into the air, separating into a huge rain of demonic energy piercing Neos, Alius, the two face downs and the cards in Lucas' hand. Each shot accumulating to strike through Lucas' Life point counter

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-tuner monsters

This card is unaffected by the effects of Spell or Trap Cards. By paying 1000 Life Points, send all cards in both players' hands and on the field to the Graveyard, except this card. Inflict 300 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points for each card that is sent to the Graveyard by this effect. If you activate this effect, this card cannot attack this turn.

((Your trump is Chaos Emperor Dragon-Envoy of the End in generic Synchro form which is immune to Spells and Traps, doesn't kill itself with its effect, but can't attack? Tsk, and you were doing so well with using non-broken custom cards...))

Lucas' eyes widened beneath his helmet as the beams of light shattered first Neos, then the younger Neos, followed swiftly by his two facedown Traps, revealed for a moment to be Hero Signal and Relieve Monster. His expression turned to pure disbelief.

"I...lost..."

Lucas LP: 0

The automatic braking system kicked in, slowing Lucas' Runner to a halt. His eyes stared at the 0 beside his LP counter. He had come so close...

Derek chuckled, shaking his head. The match had gone on longer than he had expected, but the result was the same. He turned away from the observation glass and headed back towards his office. The Avatar within him chuckled, clearly pleased with the result.

"Everybody! We have a winner!!!! Congratulations Seth Rivers, you are moving onto the next round!!!!" The audience applauded and scream out loudly in excitement. "Ladies and gentlemen, we will be taking a quick ten minute recess before the next match!"

Dan clapped his hand for Seth's performance. "Good show, although it looks like you didn't give it your all. Oh well, the next round is coming very soon, I wonder who will be dueling?....." Dan said to himself as he looked at the field being cleaned for the next round.

ooc:Sorry, I made that card a long time ago, and it's been a while since I decided to use him, so I never changed his effect, He was also part of a story I wrote and when I created his character I thought CED, I'd like to change him, but I can't come up with squat. at least not anymore.

"You did good" he said as he stopped right next to him. "And you made me use Hametsu, which is impressive...besides, if I had failed that....I would have been at a disadvantage..." he simply rode back to the pit after that, as if trying to avoid talking after that. "I haven't been given the order to do anything more then just win the duels.....I will not take any souls unless needed...." he looked at Hametsu's card, it was quite happy with being allowed to use his effect.

Saviero clapped halfheartedly, not surprised by the results of the duel.

"Hey, wake up. Duel's over." He whispered, nudging Yamato, who had fallen asleep beside him.

Saviero tapped his foot on the ground, hoping he was called to duel next. "Besides, it might be time to show you what you're up against." Saviero grinned, anxiously awaiting the announcer. "If I'm up next, I'll be sure to make things quick enough for you to not fall asleep."

Yamato shook his head as he was woken up by Saviero. "Thanks. And I'll take your word for it, although I'm already better, so I don't think I'll need to sleep again." He hadn't been lying; he was still tired, but felt rejuvenated and refreshed. He got up and stretched, yawning. He looked at his bracket and sat back down, waiting for the announcer to tell the next matchings. Sloth put up a good fight. I hope I can do just as well. As for the other guy, Lucas... he wasn't as lucky.

Saviero grinned. "Well then, I guess I can toy around with the opponent... Nah; I don't like to drag things out. I'll just shut down his defense and go in for the kill."

Saviero wasn't joking. He liked to destroy any chance of retaliation in a duel before crushing the opponent, and since it was the first round, he wasn't going to use his Divine Destroyer. Nope, he'd take out this first opponent without that, though he knew he'd have to pay some life points with the duel being a Turbo Duel.

Nick was stunned. Madeline had just... walked away from him, like his words meant nothing. He turns away from her and walks in no specific direction. He felt like he had just been broken into peices.

I'm the only person that ever would've happened to. She appreciates everyone but me. Everyone always appreciates everyone else... except me. Why don't I just get to be accepted? he pondered to himself in a bit of a dillusional envy. He continues to walk through the arena hallways, completely ignoring everyone around.

Saviero stood up, sighing. Something told him the next duel wasn't his. Stretching, he walked down the stairs, lithe figure maneuvering around the people that crowded the staircase. He entered the main lobby again and yawned, purchasing something to drink.

"Meh, only orange juice? Okay, then..."

Returning to his seat, he tapped his foot on the ground, anxious to begin. He wanted to prove himself to the people here, a few particular ones more than the rest.

Yamato had noticed many spectators had vacated their seats and that Saviero had gotten an orange juice. He waited patiently. "I think I'm going to be spending most of the tournament in the arena; I'm not hungry... yet. You couldn't wait 'till tournament was over?" he added, grinning, to Saviero sipping his orange juice. He got up from his seat and began to stroll around the less busy arena, thinking to himself.

When will it be my turn?

Who will I be up against?

Will I win?

What, where, when, how, why?

Saviero shrugged at the question; juice was essential to life... For him, anyways, though he could have waited. In fact, the only reason he left was out of boredom from hearing the chatter of other spectators without a duel going on. He noticed Yamato leave and looked around again, noticing most of the crowd had either left to go get something to eat or drink between the break... or to go nervously scan their deck over and over in fear of being burned out by Seth. Saviero thought.

Saviero decided he'd just go make sure his Duel Runner was as clean as it could possibly be, despite the fact he washed it obsessively. Entering Duel Runner storage, his necklace began to glow. "Runner Security. Down."

The Duel Runner glowed green in response, Saviero smiling. "You look as clean as ever! I guess there's no need to wash you... I'm just bored, I guess."

Aster sat at the table running throug his deck' date=' formulateing a pirfect combo when a voice came on over the intercom. "LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, THE BEXT MATCH IS ABOUT TO START, IT'S TERRA V.S. J.B." Aster basicly ignored it and kept running through his deck. "Won't be ong now," Aster though andput his deck back into is pocket.

[/quote']

You ignored the advanced clause. I also kindly asked that we wait for Zaifire to make desicions on the next matches.

Nick ignored all of the announcements. He was simply broken inside that this kind of thing only happened to him. He was envious of normal people. People with lives that couldn't be interrupted by such juvenile things. He was envious. He was always envious. He was envy. There was no other way around it, he was a root of all evils and he needed to accept this and move on. He pulled his hood over his head and smiled dementedly, a new hatred born inside him.

He went to the starting line waiting for his opponent, taking deep breaths Terra began to calm down as he waited for his opponent he took one last look at his deck. "(Riding Duels are my specialty and with my deck I should be able to take on anyone.)" Terra waited for his match to start with a determined look on his face, finally he reverd his engine making sure everything was working.

Saviero sighed, still waiting for his turn to duel, when a loud noise was heard. It sounded like something had snapped and fallen. Looking around, he didn't see anything, but the sudden darkness that followed made him realize something with the energy source to the building had failed, and the power was out.

"Damn... Now I can't duel here," he mumbled, standing up. The crowd began to be filled with whispers, some people still sitting down while others stood and felt their way to the stadium exit. Saviero took off his necklace and wrapped it around his hand, the security setting making his necklace glow brightly, the blue, shining item making it look like his hand was glowing. He went into the main lobby, trying to go to Duel Runner Storage. Others began to chatter even more loudly, rumors filling the air. Saviero did hear that the power was down city-wide, however, and looked outside to see it was true. Nothing lit the night sky other than stars, and Saviero frowned. "Crap. The system's down everywhere... Wait."

The adolescent made his way to his duel runner, activating it. The vehicle lifted into the air, and Saviero smiled. "Great! The Duel Runners still work."

Saviero lifted his hand to help others see the entrance to Duel Runner Storage, the necklace still making it seem like some symbol on his hand was glowing bright blue.

Nick was walking around when a great rumble hit the stadium. He was so surprised by the sudden pitch black that his balance was thrown off and he hit the wall.

"What the..." he looks around to hear panics of all kinds, hearing that an enormous earthquake had hit the main terminal, causing the energy to be lost all about the city.

Nick immediately knew what this meant: Kill everything in the Ordo Everto's path. He switched his deck back to his earthbound immortal deck, ready to take on the first know associate of the element six or one of those involved.

"The next duel is coming very soon now- Huh? What's this?" Dan asked himself as the power went out. "Damn it, a power outage? How could this happen?" Just then tremors began to occur. "What the hell, an earthquake?!"

Elliot felt the huge earthquake and tried to find cover. "Why is this happening?!" The whole stadium and out on the streets, there was chaos. Elliot noticed two kids standing beneath a collapsing beam. "What the! Oh no!" Elliot immediately took action and ran over to the kids, grabbed them, and jumped to safety as the beam dropped and destroy the stands.

Dan immediately ran down to the stands. "When is this going to stop?!" He wondered to himself.

Madeline, in her rush to find and confront the idiot who had bumped into her, soon found herself face to face with a wall as her entire balance was thrown off by an abrupt rumble. She took a pace back, clutching her injured face, and then noticed that all the lights had gone out, leaving her in complete and absolute darkness.

"Where the hell am I?" she demanded aloud, punctuating her sentence with a less proper term. Oh wonderful, now she had to go KILL that stupid kid for making her run into a wall when LOOKING for him! Her temper, normally bottled away from the surface, was already reaching critical point.

Aster ran through his deck over and over again makeing sure that everything would be in place and then it happened. Suddenly the entire building began to quake and he put his deck away. "Whats going on?" Aster said and then he noticed Nick. He was switching a deck and not running away. "That can't be good," Aster though, he dicided to keep a close eye on this guy for a while...

Saviero could hear a familiar voice, albeit filled with anger. He could see the silhouette of someone near a wall, his glowing hand motioning towards the entrance to Duel Runner Storage. "Wait... Madeline? Is that you? Duel Runner Storage is over here..."

Saviero lifted his hand back into the air, lowering it when most of the crowd had an idea as to where their Duel Runners were. He could hear a rumble above the silhouette, who he had determined was Madeline, he had spoken to moments ago and pulled them aside, a section of a beam the would have normally been overhead piercing through the portion of ceiling and slamming into the ground where the figure was seconds ago.
