.:Blu:.
Elliot and Frank, the security guard, continued their way towards the Duelist Waiting Room. "I've gotta pick a monster for the tournament. Hmm, Brionac should do I guess. What do you think Frank?" "{Sigh} I don't know, I'm not a duelist...." "Oh, alright....." Elliot and Frank made their way to the disignated area. "Okay stay here and prepare while you can. I'll be going now, good luck in the tournament." "Oh, thanks." RE-Mastered
"I must be going crzy." Aster had travled with the spirit of Ordean Majestic Angel in his condition all the way to his own house, why would the card ben there. "Your ansestors have owned this manor for years for one reason, to potect the sacred card until the one chosen to use the deck comes and that is you." Said the spirit of Ordean Majestic Angel "But why would my family hide their most powerful card for so long and pretend to find it." Aster asked. "Your family has had some history of greed, if they had the card in the deck without the proper knolage to use it....well I think you get the idea," the spirit began to fade. "I don't have much more time, the card you seek is hiden deep in the basement." and then the spirit faded into dust. "This can't get any wearder." Aster said walking into his home, oddly enough no one was home so he headed down to the basement andn there on the floor was the card, Ordean, goddess of Wisdom. "Huh," Said aster picking up the card. "You think i would have noticed this before."
Aesirson
((Time for Velon to reappear ;D)) Velon looked through his deck, even though he knew that he would not be using it in his first duel."I will be the only combatant in the first duel, Velon. There's no need to look through the deck." GTD said, coming out of his card to stand behind Velon. He was a big, white dragon with four wings, and was covered with silver and red armor."I know, but I will have to prepare it for coming battles." Velon looked at his D-Wheel. "I wonder who I will be dueling in the first battle. Remember, Aka, you will be the only combatant alive after my first duel!""Yes sir!" ((GTD's name was revealed, woohoo!)) RE-Mastered
Aster stepted into his fathers room later that day saying nothing, simply holding the lost card infront of him. All his father did was take the cards from his desk and hand them to Aster. Aster smiled and walked out of his house. "Now that your deck is compleat, there is something you must do with it," The spirit of Ordean Majestic Angel arose from Asters deck. "There is a grand destiny befor you, as for that detiny I do not know what it is, but armed with your deck you will over come any chalnge." "But wait, how do I.." The spirit faded into the card and Aster sighed.
evilfusion
Derek looked at the time, frowning. He had left his office, still mulling over the rules of the upcoming match. Still, he could benefit immensely from witnessing the first few matches abiding by the new rule, and then formulating a strategy from there. He had already accessed the listing of the first competitors and was eagerly awaiting the start of that match. But he still had time, so he made his way down to the arena. Checking the time once more, he stepped outside for some air. Madeline, meanwhile, had slipped away from where Kane was, unwilling to compromise her cover at this time. There would be another time for her and him to finish what they started, and she was looking forward to then.
BANZAI!!!!
Kane looked around the lobby for Jane. He was very concerned about Jane, and afraid of what could have made her run off like that. He'd been at it for approximately a whole half an hour and was about to give up when he saw her. She was wearing different clothes, but he recognized her by the way his mark began to glow that same whitish green when he looked at her. He pushed his way through the crowd, again having to try to ignore the increasing, burning pain emanating from his WIND mark. Once he was within earshot, his pain faded and he called to her. "Jane! Hold up a sec, will ya?" he yelled as he sprinted up to her, taking a second to catch his breath. "Are you alright? I didn't scare you did I?" he said, attempting to joke, although the concern was clearly audible in his voice.
RE-Mastered
"Alright Mr. Muti you've fully recovered." Said the doctor. It had been a week since he had been injured in a duel with him.... "Thank you Dr, I'll make sure to recommend you." And with that Aster stepted out into the world. His cuts and burns still hurt but that couldn't stop him right now. Aster took out Ordean Majestic Angel. "Alright, whatever my destiny is I'll find it." Aster hoped on a buss bound for the tournment.
evilfusion
After a few minutes of sitting outside the stadium at a table, sipping a cup of coffee, Derek tapped his foot, feeling more relaxed in the outdoor air than he had inside. He continued to search through his deck, trying to think of just the right monster, in case he changed his mind for the upcoming match. Before him, he browsed a list of names and comments of the participating players. The Avatar was silent, a nice change. It was not particularly unusual for it to go dormant, but it urged him not to use it in the match, so Derek didn't really care that it was keeping its opinion to himself. He gazed out over the passing cars and buses, trailing a free hand through his hair, then checked the time, frowning when he realized how little had actually passed. Merci
After a while of thinking, Ran decided not to use the Wicked Eraser for the match, or at least, not yet, as Protheus had convinced him not to (A good player never reveals his trump card so soon. Don't just go with the Wicked Eraser right away. Stick with some other monster for now). He then simply left the stadium and sat at a table, where he could sense another Herald nearby, but decided to ignore him. But meanwhile, Protheus and the Eraser were having a chat."I see, so your soul had been ripped too. But you're lucky, your soul only gets to be ripped into three pieces while mine get's to be ripped into a million and sent across the multiverse. By the way, what is your true name?" He asked."Grrrrrraaaaaaa......" The Eraser replied in an intimidating voice."I see, you do not wish to tell me. By the way, how was your original self created? It's not everyday I get to meet a god. Granted, I see you everyday. But really.....how was your original self, the great lord of chaos created? I thirst for this knowledge.""GRAAAAAHHHHHhhhhhh.....""Wait, what? This knowledge shouldn't be known to mortals? WELL, I TELL YOU THIS, I WAS A funking IMMORTAL ONCE! I'VE LIVED SIX MILLENNIA, NEARING SEVEN!""GGGGGRRRAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!""Fine then, so be it. So how do you feel about not being Ran's main monster for this tournament and having to stay dormant?""Grrraaaa......ggrrrrr......""It is necessary, right, right. And also, the comedy type, am I? I suppose so, how else does Ran stay sane without my constant voices?""Grrrr....""True enough, he'd probably do that if I never came here." Ran simply tapped his fingers, impatient. He had to think of a monster to use. He listed some monsters, but in the end decided to use his second-favorite card, 'The Tyrant Neptune', which is usually used as a backup for The Wicked Eraser. Serenade
Jane felt the pain in her hand as Kane got increasingly close to her. She didn't even have to turn around, she knew he was behind him. She knew the pain he gave her clearly, even though she had only felt it one time. It was like she would never really forget what that pain was like. Indescribably good, but at the same time nauseating it was so painful at the core. She turned around to face him, her dark bands hanging in front of her eyes and completely covering the left eye. She nodded sadly, "No... I apologize for what happened. I didn't..." her words trailed off as she continued, but she re-enunciated, knowing Kane did not hear her, "I didn't mean to ask you all of those questions at once." she completely ignores the issue of the kiss. Being honest to herself, she almost wanted to do it again, but she was afraid. But afraid of what? Afraid of rejection? Afraid of misleading him? Afraid of misleading herself? No... it was a fear of scaring him away, and having to do this all by herself. She was already afraid that she might have already partially scared him away, but she was mildly reassured by the fact that Kane made the effort to find her. It was oddly comforting. She simply stands there, waiting for a reply.
evilfusion
"..." Derek looked up, perplexed by the sudden prickle of hostility intruding upon his relaxed demeanor. The Wicked Avatar had awakened from its dormant state and he could feel it bristling with indignation. Doing his best to maintain his composure, he directed an inquisitive thought to the Wicked God. "The Eraser...it is nearby...pesky little worm, so arrogant and rash," the Avatar growled, its internal voice dripping with contempt. "What is up with you two, anyway?" Derek asked under his breath, glancing around at the people nearby, wondering if he could spot the fellow Herald, if he or she was indeed around. BANZAI!!!!
There were a lot of things Kane wanted to say to the beautiful girl standing in front of him, but he couldn't articulate his thoughts. As he pondered what to say, he was struck by the oddity of the whole situation. It was just yesterday that they had met. Since then she had helped him when his life was in danger, given him a beautifully crafted card, and had also given him something more: friendship, camaraderie, maybe even love. Then, he knew what he wanted to do. Kane wanted to return these things to her in kind. He wanted to make her feel safe. He wanted to protect her, and at that moment he remembered what the voice had said when it bestowed the WIND mark upon him. He smiled, and thought " Maybe I'm supposed to protect her". He looked down at her, and stared into her eyes. "Jane, about before..." he trailed off, visibly blushing at the thought of the kiss they had just shared. He re-composed himself, ignoring his previous thought (Although his face was still red). " I just want you to know that everything's ok, and that if you need anything, I'm here for you. We're going to stick together, remember?" he said, looking into her eyes.
a coffee
Melody was walking around the hallways, bored out of her mind. She was pondering the weird feeling she had had for a while after the big announcement. She had this sense of urgency that she couldn't quite identify. It annoyed her a little, she felt like she was being left out of something really cool! She was always in the 'in crowd' back at her home town. If there was news, she usually knew about it first, and now she was being caught with surprises left and right! She thought of it as just plain wrong in her eyes. She continued to walk around, looking around for a friendly face she could talk to and get to know better. She really did enjoy a good conversation. --- Nick couldn't comprehend his feelings. He felt as if what he did for Madeline was right yet at the same time wrong. He gave up his best power card for a woman that barely even recognized him as human. He wasn't even really sure if he should be identified as human. Still, he felt like if he did something good for the Ordo Everto as a whole, he wouldn't be totally wasting his energy trying to get Madeline's attention. He wouldn't exactly get Madeline to appreciate him, but the Ordo Everto and its plan would flourish and be able to seize all the power they wanted to claim. Nick was kind of bored, and decided to go hunting down Dan. After all, he was usually an alright conversation.
Serenade
Jane was still confused about her feelings for this man in which she coveted. He seemed so brave, so tough, so strong, and so sensible. He struck her as if he was always collected, even if it may or may not be true. She looked up when she saw him blush, expressions of nervousness and flirtation all over his face. She shed a small tear when he promised to stay by her side. She simply embraced him, laying her head on his chest. She could hear his heartbeat. It was not only racing, but calm. Like the eye of a furious storm soon to come over seas. She looked up at him saying, "Thank you... I promise that I want to be there for you too. As long as I'm by your side... I want to be there to show you that... I care about you. I have a feeling I didn't want to make you that card, or help you because I felt bad, or maybe I did, but rather, felt bad because I knew, somewhere deep inside, that I'm supposed to be with you. Like... our symbols were supposed to synchronize and bond us for as long as we can stay together. I always want to stay together with you..." her bangs fell into her face again, hiding the dark red blush on her cheeks. She still wasn't sure what she was feeling for him, but for now it seemed like a form of love, or care. Her LIGHT mark grew a Greenish tint once more, forming the unity between the two symbols. Merci
The Eraser then stopped. At first, it thought the nearby presence was Dreadroot, but now it had realized it to be the Avatar. It roared harshly at the very presence of the Avatar."The Avatarrr.....it is close.....blind little ant, so stubborn and foolish," the Eraser growled, its demonic voice growing darker with every word. Ran simply sighed. "Why must you always be like that?" He asked under his own breath. He glanced around, and noticed another person glancing around. He had to use Protheus's powers to help confirm whether that was a Herald or not, and that person was, but he decided to let the other Herald come to him. έκλειψη
"Come on, man. I beat you fair and square. Pay up." "Fair? That thing isn't fair!" "That little thing? He's not even my strongest monster. Come on, give me my money." The defeated man gave his money to Saviero, who nodded in thanks. "Next time, you can't use that thing." "I'm sorry! I won't next time... I'll use something stronger."The adolescent sighed, exiting the parking garage and walking down the sidewalk. "Hm... Oh, crap! I left during the middle of the announcements for whatever that was... Tournament, right. Well, I'm still qualified; I hope I didn't miss the next duel already!"Saviero darted down the street, entering the building and tripping as he went into the entrance, hitting the ground with a *thud*. BANZAI!!!!
Kane's face grew a bright red color as Jane embraced him. He was nervous, very nervous in fact, but he didn't want her to leave him, no matter what. His heart began to race, and he felt his WIND symbol glow a brighter green/white. The heat from it didn't create pain, as it normally did, but rather gave him something that could only be described as a warm, fuzzy feeling: something that created happiness within him. Kane returned her embrace, wrapping his arms around her and bringing her as close as possible to him. " Thank you Jane. I will always be there for you too. I'll protect you..." he said. He chocked a little on his next sentence, a little afraid of what it could mean. "I... care about you too, Jane. And I'll bear with this mark so long as it keeps us together." he said, finally getting the words out.
έκλειψη
Should I find a seat or just stand? Saviero thought, walking around aimlessly. He'd just wait near the entrance and listen to see what happened. The duelists here were talented ones no doubt, but he didn't want to put all of his effort into his first match; his best card would be saved for his final match. Then again, he didn't want to risk losing...There was something unnerving about the tournament, however, though he couldn't identify what it was.Oh, well, I'll just wait until I'm called up there... He sighed.
RE-Mastered
"Ahhh nothin but a hand full of hope and a sac full of dreams, thats how it goes right?" Aster wondered to himself. He had stoped at the local coffee shop for something to drink and was now enjoying a nice cup of coffee. Aster could feal a cold presance around the area. He looked around to see if anyone was obissouly a bad apple but no one struck him as pure evil. "And back to my coffee." aster said takeing another sip. evilfusion
The Avatar continued to simmer indignantly, entirely ignoring Derek's inquiry. He rolled his eyes. "Fine, I'll go," he muttered, pushing back his chair and rising to his feet. "I'm sure it knows I'm here, too," the Avatar mused to itself. "It doesn't matter. Just look around." Derek fought the urge to roll his eyes again, taking a moment to adjust his suit and check his hair. His green eyes swiftly scanned the other people around him, until the Avatar made a strange click sound, similar to how a person clicks his tongue. "Found him. You can leave now." Derek chuckled. "I'm not ready to go. Still have time to kill."
Serenade
Jane smiled with a blush, seeing him turn red. It was heartwarming to know someone cared about her. She nods, "Well... perhaps these marks are good things, we just don't know what they do yet..." she gives him a small kiss and then she places her head back on Kane's chest. She was starting to come to the realization that if there were people like Kane and herself, there were bound to be people out there to kill people like themselves. She looks up and says, "Kane... don't you think there are people out to get us? Like... those bearing symbols like this? I guess we should try to find the other ones like us then... right?" her head poking out of her sweatshirt and his arms, staring practically into his soul with her left eye, the immense brightness shining from her eyes was piercing. It was obvious that she was not only scared, but concerned. Did she know any other people like Kane? What if everyone she had met was like them, by some natural attraction? Elliot? She figured not, he wasn't even in the tournament... he was just some kid... But what about Zack? He wasn't just a duelist, he made his deck sound strong, and she had hit it off with him, that and she was around him when the mark appeared... She needed to go find him and be sure. "Kane... I think I may know another one like us, we need to find him."
a coffee
OOC: If the tournament was to start relatively soon, would everyone actually be prepared? Oh, and would it kill you guys to try and interact with one of the two characters I play? Nick was dreadfully bored, he was looking around for someone to talk to about this new duel system and how they were to handle it. How were they supposed to conduct a shadow duel in that kind of environment? More or less he was just looking for someone to complain with, and out of all the people he could think of, the Pride sin was probably the last person to do so, but he got along with Dan, so he wanted to find him anyway. After a while, he got tired of waiting, he pulled out his phone and called Dan, hoping he would pick up. He was terribly bored, and he was waiting for this tournament thing to actually START. Merci
Well, finally they found our exact location, but they're quite slow, I'm afraid. See what I mean, host? Without me, you're as useless as you would be if I wasn't here. Protheus said proudly.Oh shut up. Ran could only sigh. They all knew that the other Herald had finally spotted them and was now going somewhere in particular, or not. "Grrrr......It thinks it can do whatever it wants......" The Eraser muttered, but was still loud. It was trying to compose itself, but that was difficult, very difficult.
~Duo~
OOC: Hey Blu-Dawn, I'm making my way into your storyline nao! :) If you don't want me to, just tell me. Yamato, crossing his legs while in the Duelist Waiting Room, had noticed a peculiar looking man enter the room, accompanied by two other people, one who had left. His eyes flashed purple for a moment, noticing the card he had been holding, rather than his "normal" green. Then a duel spirit appeared on the seat to his right. It was a purple dragon with 3 heads, all whose heads contained mouths with razor-sharp teeth and blazing purple flames. "Well, what do you think?" Brionac, huh? it hissed. This could be interesting. Alright, then. His eyes changed to purple once more and back. He smirked, walking up to the person and held out his hand. "Hello, Elliot. I'm also in the tournament." In his mind, he thought. The first one... but, just for now.
evilfusion
Madeline gazed around at the people she passed, at the moment intent to put reasonable distance between herself and the boy who had evaded her shadow penalty. She did not fear him, quite the contrary, but as Derek had told Nick to keep his distance, and since she had really been his opponent, the order had been directed to her. Really, what she should probably do was connect to another person, one she could keep an eye on in case they too proved to be a good source of amusement or a threat. She licked her lips thoughtfully. A male was usually a good option, someone she could twist around her finger and drive to distraction. Then again, a female could just as easily serve similarly, either as a friend or a more interesting acquaintance. Now THAT had mass-distraction abilities. She snickered to herself. But who to pick for that? -- Derek stroked his chin thoughtfully. On one hand, he could interact directly with the other Herald. "Don't you dare!" Or, he could remain here, continue checking his deck, and watch to see what the nearby people did. "That's not much better," the Avatar grumbled. Or he could head inside and try to push the tournament into starting the first round. "Yes, do that!" Derek rolled his eyes, straightening his tie, and headed back towards the stadium, casting one last look towards the one the Avatar had detected to be a second Herald.
