"Hahahahaha. Yes. That card was MY card that got stolen." He said, laughing at her reaction. "You humans are very amusing sometimes; your almost as clumsy as Kane. Hahaha!" He shook her hand with his massive claw, careful not to cut her with his talons. He noticed her LIGHT mark as he shook her hand. "Another One?" he said, mildly surprised.

Kane interrupted, as if to get Jane to pay attention to him "So what was so strange about that Seth guy anyway?" He asked. Instead of continuing to speak, Astrum calmly sat back, content to listen to the humans' conversation.

"Oh! Well, that's mighty unfortunate and hey! Don't throw me to the dogs just yet, you caught me by surprise!" she winks, giggling a little in the process as she does a slight kneel/bow/thing when shaking Astrum's hand,

On focus of the mark, she notices the pain a little more, "Oh. Yes, I suppose. I wouldn't really know what it means or what it's for yet."

She directed her focus to Kane as Astrum sank away, "Oh... he was very lazed. He just leaned over the back of the bench, and despite being very uncomfortable, he just stayed there, like he didn't want to move." she sat back down next to Kane.

"Yay...now then' date=',,you see I have to destroy a card on my side of the field, so I destroy this one!" He picks up a card from his field and places it in the Grave, before it disappears from the field it flipped up, "Now then, it activates my Vortex Imp Trap, you see when this card is destroyed I can inflict 1000 Damage to your Life Points!" A small Imp flew out of the card and passed his monsters, slashing his opponent with his grimy looking claws.

When this card is destroyed by a card effect, inflict 1000 Damage to your opponent.

How exactly could you trigger a trap in destruction? It doesn't seem to make sense, because if you activated it, it wouldn't be destroyed unless it was a continuous trap and destroyed during the time in which it was active.

Lucas winced as his lifepoints, followed by a Speed Counter, dropped. "All right, then I'll continue my turn!" he said. "I Tribute Stratos and Alius to Summon my Elemental Hero Neos!" A larger version of the Neos Alius appeared when Lucas' monsters disappeared. (Lvl 7, 2500/2000)

"Now, I activate the trap card, Hero Blast!" Lucas continued. "I select one Elemental Hero Normal Monster from my grave and return it to my hand. I choose my Neos Alius, which, as a Gemini monster, counts as a Normal Monster while in the graveyard. Then, I destroy one of your monsters with less ATK than it! Your monster has under 1900 ATK, so that's the one that's going to explode!"

Lucas withdrew his monster from his graveyard and his Trap fired a beam of light towards Seth's monster.

"What? How lazy can you get?" Kane said, bemused. "He sounds like he;d be to lazy to even hurt a fly. I wonder how someone so non-threatening could get into this tournament?" He scratched his chin while he pondered this, and Astrum shook his head in slight bewilderment at Kane's manner, still not comprehending "This human mating thing" as he called it from time to time. While waiting for a reply Kane took out his deck, and began to organize it like he did the night before, only this time he was VERY careful to look around and make sure no one was coveting his cards.

His monster had been completely demolished "well that was unexpected...." he said as he saw the taller Neos take the field, he looked closely as the Powerful Hero came towards him. "Oh boy....uhm...oh yeah, I activate my face down, Magic Culinder, now you'll take the damage instead....I keep forgetting that one....." Neo's punching power was zapped from him and entered a cannon, it fired back to his opponent. "any response to that?" he joked.

ooc:@Serenade, their are traps that activate when they are destroyed, for example Kozaky's Self Destruct Button, here is the link: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Kozaky%27s_Self-Destruct_Button

the wording is different but it is still activated when it is destroyed by an effect.

Lucas' eyes widened as the blast of energy struck his Runner, causing it to wobble for a moment. He frowned. Wow, what was with this guy? His cards all seemed to deal burn or defend, and already he had lost almost 3/4 of his lifepoints.

When he's Summoned, I can activate his other effect, and destroy Spells and Traps on the field equal to every Elemental Hero on my field but itself. So I destroy your remaining card, and have Stratos attack your Lifepoints directly!" (Lvl 4, 1800/300)

"Hmm. I'm not sure, really." she touches her finger to her lips. She turned back to observe the dragon... He was so interesting. He was so... human. Ronoa seemed like a higher being to her, like some demi-god. But this dragon... he seemed real.

She shook her head as if to wake up from a space-out, when in reality, she was paying attention the entire time. She turned back slowly, to get one last look at Astrum. She turns back over to Kane, seeing him overview his deck. Jane pulls out her own and remembers that she wanted to put in Ronoa.

She took out another deck, it was in a white silk covering with gems locking the silk to the box. She twists the gems in a certain pattern to remove the silk from the radiantly bright Deck Box. It had some kind of writing on the front of the box. She opened it, cycling through a few of numerous shiny cards and pulling out only one. She slips it into her plain, shell white deck box and rewraps the gleaming one. She puts it back in her bag and looks back up to Kane.

ooc:This is my last post, g'night!

"Can't do much about you destroying my cards...except the fact that it was my second Vortex Imp...." The imp runs forward and slashes his opponent but it could do nothing as Stratos attacked him. "Uwah!!!" his bike squealed a bit as he lost 1800 LP, and his counter went down. "Well, that sucks....but I did what I could...I have no more Imp traps though...." he said to himself, forgetting the intercom was on.

Kane looked over at her, intrigued by her shiny deck box. "Whats that for?" he asked, referring to the bejeweled case while simultaneously flipping through his deck at high speed; setting up familiar combos and re arranging cards. He stopped when he got to Boro, and looked over at Jane. Smiling, he put the card back into his deck. Suddenly, a piece of paper hit his head. Kane opened it and read the text " Went to get myself food. I'll bring you two back some french fries or whatever other unhealthy crap you like. -Astrum" Kane was even now surprised that the dragon could wrap his large claws around a pen, let alone write with it, and he put his hand over his face and shook his head , letting out a small laugh in the process.

Saviero sighed, standing up. There was absolutely nobody to talk to around him. There was only one person beside them, and they were so involved with the duel, adding sound effects and screaming orders as if the duelists could hear them, that he wouldn't be able to take their attention away from the match. He yawned and walked up, sitting a seat across from Madeline.

"Boring duel, huh? Seth's gonna win; poor Lucas just had a bad day..." Saviero sighed. His necklace light up for a moment; it did so periodically to show that the security system was on for hid Duel Runner.

"Ugh!" Lucas scowled as his lifepoints took another hit. He couldn't believe how badly he was behind, and it was only his second turn! "Well, at least I managed to do some damage," he muttered. "I put two cards facedown and...end my turn," he said with a sigh. He had a pretty good field presence and if he could keep himself from being wiped out, he'd have a chance to win, maybe as soon as next turn.

Madeline snickered. "It's amusing in its own little way," she admitted. The fact the boy kept walking right into Seth's traps just fascinated her. Seth played the game better than she would ordinarily have expected, particularly from Sloth, and she wondered how much longer the game could go on.

Saviero nodded. "I don't see this lasting past Seth's next turn..."

Changing topic, he looked to Madeline. "I have a new Duel Runner; you can see it if you'd like. Not much else going on here, anyways," the adolescent sighed, looking down to the duelists. "Maybe Luca just had a bad day... I can't see how someone would fall into so many traps at once."

Then again, I can keep that from happening... He silently added, looking away. "Well, I'm going to go see my Duel Runner; you can come if you like." Saviero smiled, exiting the seating area and entering the Main Lobby.

Madeline snickered. "That or it's a bad match-up. His deck seems pretty aggressively focused and Seth's seems defensively oriented mixed with burn damage. Burn isn't a commonly seen strategy, so it's unlikely Lucas is packing anti-burn, least of all in a Hero build," she agreed.

She considered the offer for a few moments. She had nothing else to do, and if she got bored, she could just come back. And having someone around fit in with her interest in hanging around one person for a while.

"All right, I may as well," she said, trailing after Saviero. She cast one final glance around the arena. Unless Lucas pulled a miracle, then it was likely Lucas would soon feel the stings of defeat. The tournament had been partially set up to collect souls, but the duel didn't seem like it had been a shadow game. Was this subtlety at work or something else?

Saviero neared the Duel Runner Storage area, noticing Madeline trailing behind. He stopped at his duel runner, the vehicle floating in the air, low to the ground.

"It took quite a bit to get this plan into a working runner, but it was worth it... Obstacles are much easier to avoid, and you go much faster per Speed Counter."

The floating Runner had a light green glow to it, but upon activation via Saviero's remote, it lifted into the air, a bit higher than the height of an average Duel Runner, and it's green markings began to glow a bright blue, area in which he sat becoming translucent. "Nice to give a good first impression out there, huh?" Saviero smiled.

Madeline whistled in genuine appreciation. She had never seen a Runner quite like this one before, and it was actually quite attractive in appearance, sounded like it had practicality, and the design overall just was impressive. She circled it in a wide arc, admiring its appearance. "Very nice," she said finally, a grin flashing across her lips. "Probably cost a fortune to get it working in development, not to mention purchasing price must have been...exorbital."

"Yeah. It took me quite a few big wins to have the money for this Duel Runner. Worth every penny, though; wouldn't swap it for the world."

Saviero grinned, looking at his runner. "Hopefully it can catch some attention in my first duel. I need to win it if I'm going to look so good, though," he joked, looking at Madeline.

"I can't even remember the exact price tag for it. Best thing is, it's already thin enough to pass through things, but it has small orbs approximately the size of needle tips lining the sides of both wings. If you need to roll by, you can just do... This."

Saviero pressed a button on his remote controller, the wings folding in and rotating to lower the body towards the ground, the device looking somewhat like an 'A'.

"If it doesn't catch attention, then people don't know what's cool," Madeline mused, flashing another grin. "It would be tragic if you got knocked out too early, though. Wouldn't give you much time to get to the real challenges in the tournament."

She flicked back the hood of her cloak to remove the obscuring effect from her vision, revealing her shoulder-length silver hair. They were relatively in private, so she could afford to lower her defenses a little bit, especially if it gave her a better look at the Runner.

Yamato stayed still as the others, Madeline and Saviero, left. It was alright, he thought. I'm used to this... He shook his head and continued with watching the game and smirked amused. "It seems Lucas is taking a beating from Seth. It seems unlikely, but maybe he has enough potential to defeat Sloth..." Yamato mused to himself. He looked at his purple marble-like object once more. "Soon, but not yet. You'll have your chance," he whispered to it. He smiled confidently and gave his full attention to the match, almost not blinking.

"I don't think I'll be getting knocked out any time soon. I won't be able to use my best card if I do... It's been with me as long as I can remember. My deck should be able to take me far, considering these will be Turbo Duels. It can handle pretty well without Speed Spells..."

Saviero looked over to Madeline, noticing her silver hair. It seemed to somewhat complement her violet eyes. "Nice hair." He smiled, then pointing to his. "Mine... Well, it's there, at least," he joked.

"My deck doesn't rely much on spells. Uses them, of course, but doesn't really rely on them," Madeline said casually, remembering her duel with Kane and how his Horus had only prevented her from using Solidarity for a turn or two before she got rid of it. She had anticipated the tournament's focus on Riding Duels and had strengthened her monster and trap lineup more than her Spells. Of course, Speed Spells were hardly an issue; a number of them promoted her use of low level monsters.

Snapping back to focus on Saviero, she chuckled. "Fortunately for you," she laughed. The laugh was pleasant, sweet and almost melodic. It fit her well, even if beneath that laugh she was a manipulative person, aiming to soften people up.

Jane shook her head, "Oh. It's nothing. Just a special deck of mine. I wanted to grab my signature card out of it." she giggled a little as Kane was hit with the paper,

"Well, he's not very polite, is he now? Throwing papers and such. How does a dragon that size even use a pen?" she blinked, realizing just how hard that had to have been to do in the first place.

She pulls out her lightsworn deck once more, nervousness written all over her face, she simply holds the cards there, in front of her face.

Savier smiled again. "Great; someone that can be a challenge!"

The adolescent shut down his Duel Runner, the vehicle returning to its original form before becoming inactive again. Saviero smiled, then stretching.

"I wonder when Seth will finish off that other kid. It's not like he's going to make a comeback..."

Saviero yawned, his necklace glowing. "Security feature; glows red if someone tries to steal it. That, and sends high voltage through the main body, immobilizing whoever attempts to break into it.

Nick pulls the hood on his sleeve-less shirt over his head and walks over to Madeline and Saviero. He looks at Saviero almost angrily at first, then he looks over to Madeline,

"Who's the pest? Geez, you and Dan attract these helpless ones like flies on honey, I swear." He sneers. He was getting tired of never being able to talk to Madeline because everyone else was talking to her. Why was he never payed any attention to?

Saviero turned to Nick. "Helpless one? Pride goeth before the fall, my friend."

The adolescent looked back to Madeline, then retuning his gaze to Nick. "Don't worry, I was just showing her my duel runner. I don't know what the connection between you two is, but I'm not trying to interfere...

Saviero sighed, looking at the two.

Nick chuckled, "Trust me. I'm the wrong person to be looking at for Pride." he was almost mildly infuriated by Saviero's next commennt,

"You're not interfering anything except my thinking! You probably think you're so damn smart, too. What with your metaphors, and snide comments. What, do you think I can't talk to my friend?!" his hood flew off his head as he got into Saviero's face, "Like you deserve it and I don't?! Well maybe I do deserve something! I-" he cuts himself off, regaining his composure and putting his hood back over his head. He unscrews the cap off of the bottle of water he brought over and took a sip out of it.

"Never mind. Just go away."
