Madeline rolled her eyes, already walking back towards the stadium as Nick began his tirade. He'd catch up with her if he wanted to look for her. It did completely escape her notice that her hood was still down; her thoughts were elsewhere. For some reason, she found Nick to be peculiarly fixated on her, almost more so than usual people. He tried to hide it, of course, but the fact he gave her his alleged ace, Levia Dragon-Daedalus, under the guise that her cards were no good...that was interesting.

"I really don't care who you are, nor do I care who you think I am. I'm not leaving, and you... CAN'T... Make me. Besides, I'm near my Duel Runner. "That, and the next time you explode over whatever and get in my face..."

 

Saviero sighed, stretching. "Nothing."

 

The teen looked to Madeline, awaiting her response. He seemed not to care either way, she seemed to know this person, so he assumed his behavior was only a protective measure for his friend.

Nick looked over to see Madeline, already gone. He walked off and caught up behind her,

 

"Must you walk away from me? I thought us Sins were supposed to help each other out in times of emotional diress to preserve the mission? Or are you simply in it to get the power you desire for yourself? Hmm, Lust?" he spoke quietly behind her. Something about the way he approached people just made it feel more natural to be behind people talking to them.

Saviero sighed, looking at his Duel Runner.

 

I wonder if that's his personality or if he just likes her. Oh, well. She is pretty, though, I'll admit; I could see why he would have fallen for her. Oh, well.

 

Saviero waited a bit before returning to the stadium sitting in the seat he was in that was some distance from Madeline and whoever her friend was. The duel was still going on, though he wasn't really paying any attention to it.

He pulled a grimace as his boredom had overcome him. Yamato, looking around, smiled at Saviero as he sat down somewhere close to him. "Long time no see," he said to him amused, "What have you been up to?" He crossed his legs and smirked at him. Then, once more, he looked around and noticed that two other organization people had chosen to sit somewhere a bit far from here. Smiling, he guessed what had been going on. He raised his hand, similar to waving, and inclined his head towards them. I hope they saw that. If they haven't, that would probably have been embarrassing.

"I haven't been up to anything... I showed Madeline my duel runner, but one of her friends came up and exploded over the whole thing. She has beautiful silver hair... Anyways, I prepped everything for my duel, whenever that is... I'd like to go up against that friend of hers, but it's not up to me. I didn't get his name...

 

Saviero sighed, leaning back in his seat.

[~Duo~]

"Hard day? I don't know about you, but I'm tired," he grinned at him. He took out a card from his pocket. It was the same one he had shown to Elliot. "Phoenix, what am I going to do? Should I have you or the other?" He shook his head and looked exasperatedly at Saviero. He smiled at him and nodded. He put both hands behind his head and leaned back upon his seat. "I'm going to sleep. Wake me up when you leave or the duel's over, okay?" And with that, he closed his eyes. (I really am going to sleep in real life too! :))

Saviero nodded, watching the duel.

It should be over soon... Should I use my best cards during this first match? No... I'll wait until I'm up against somebody I've met so far. I can shut down traps, and lose some LP so shut down spells. My monsters can destroy during battle... In fact, I know what I'm going to do, now... Good, but there's still the fact of actually executing this plan... I wonder if I'll face Madeline. Hopefully not for my first duel. I want to win, but... No, I'm making this personal; a tournament is not the time to develop a crush on someone.... A relationship of any sort, that is...

Saviero looked to the track, sighing.

[BANZAI!!!!]

"Another deck?" Kane asked. "Why carry two, if you only use one?" Kane asked, moving his arm from behind his chair to the top of hers, barely touching her back. He smiled, and laughed a little on the inside. He could plainly see she was nervous, and found it funny that he could be so at ease in the same situation...

 

Then, Astrum returned carrying a plastic tray of french fries and two sodas of the ambiguous brand name X in one hand. He himself was rather loudly munching on an extra large bucket of hot wings that he held in the other, which he was downing at high speed, bones and all. He stopped eating for a second to speak to Jane and Kane. "Here's that food I promised... enjoy." He said, unable to hold back his appetite as he sat back down and continued to eat.

Madeline scoffed. "You have an odd entitlement complex. I'm neither required to babysit you, nor forced to remain in one place. If you want to speak to me, come find me. If you don't want to be walked out on, stop making a pointless scene. I helped by walking away. You could either continue your rant or follow. You chose the latter."

 

She turned to face him, crossing her arms with noticeable irritation. "So what did you want?"

Saviero kept his eyes on the track, raising an eyebrow. Seth was crushing his poor opponent without so much as attacking, and now the opponent was frozen in thought during his turn. Thus comes the moment when you know you're defeated. When the only thing you can do is give it your best shot and go down with a fight...

Saviero frowned, necklace glowing blue still. Well, before they start the next match, I guess I could go get another drink... Nah; this will end too soon, and I don't want to end up not using whatever I buy.

The adolescent yawned, waiting for the duel to end. Seth seemed completely uninvolved in the duel, and Saviero wondered if it was because of his personality or his confidence in skill.

Either way, someone will give him a wakeup call...

"Now then, I draw! then I'll set two cards face down and then I summon Vortex Guardian Agrias(ATK:1800/DEF:0), I think I'll end my turn." A dark angel appears on the field releasing two swords from his wings and staring down his opponent's. "He's not the same power as your monsters...but he has quite a few tricks up his sleeve." he said with a calm smile.

Lucas drew. "My turn!" he said, and glanced at the new card he drew. With a small frown, he picked a different card from his hand. "I summon my Elemental Hero Neos Alius!" The smaller version of Neos appeared, looking up towards the adult version and standing beside it. (Lvl 4, 1900/1300)

 

His lifepoints are much higher than mine...I can't afford to go charging in, Lucas thought to himself. And now he's got two new cards to defend himself.

 

"I end my turn," he announced finally.

In his sleep, his dreams were... troubling.

 

"I summon 'Earthbound Immortal - Cusillu' by tributing my 'Double Coston'!" His two grey spirits flew up to the sky and morphed into a stone heart-like object, beating. It glowed purple, menacingly, and a hole of purple fire erupted out of nowhere. "Yes! It's over!" However, things were not going as he thought. Instead of the familiar green monkey, a phoenix with a dragon's wings, a lion's claws, and a Pegasus's mane with a glowing red aura appeared instead. It faced him and shot a stream of flame at him...

 

"Whoa!" Yamato woke with a start. He realized that he was still holding the Phoenix card. Closing his eyes, he put it back in his pocket and fell asleep once more. I'll use Phoenix, was his last thought before falling into his dreams.

"I'll draw, now then...I set another card and end....." he was smiling the entire time, Agrias even sat down and started sharpening his blades, for some reason these monsters that seemed so violent and blood thirsty seemed to be okay with their master's laziness. "You don't have to be too scared to attack me you know...you still have two face-downs as well...."

Lucas rolled his eyes. He could clearly read Seth's monster effect on the screen of his Runner, telling him that if he attacked, he would swiftly run out of lifepoints. "I draw!" he stated, glancing at the card he drew. "I summon Elemental Hero Ocean!" He announced. An aquatic warrior appeared, standing alongside the others. "Now I activate Speed Spell- Speed Fusion!" he said, managing a grin.

 

"This card can be used when I have 4 or more Speed Counters, and it allows me to Fusion Summon! I fuse my Stratos and my Ocean to Summon out Elemental Hero Absolute Zero!"

 

From within a spiraling vortex, a new warrior appearing, its blue body shining in the light. (Lvl 8, ATK: 2500) It settled down beside the two Neos monsters.

 

"Absolute Zero, attack his Agrias!" Lucas ordered. The warrior darted forward, conjuring ice energy from its gloves, swiping its ice-consumed fist.

"Ooh, a Natural Hero...." he looks at Agrias and nods. "Now then, Agrias go ahead and let the attack go through...." Absolute Zero punches through Agrias as Seth's face-down is flipped. "Now then I activate the Betrayal Trap you see when a monster on my side of the field is destroyed I can take control of 1 monster on your side of the field...so, I bring your Absolute Zero to my side for 2 turns, but now he gets to chill and lower his power by Half...of course, unless you have a response."

Nick scoffed, "I just felt like talking to you. You guys (in reference to Dan and Madeline) are always surrounded by people, I got jealous that I have to compete just to talk to the only people I can maybe call my friends. But I digress. You don't really care anyway."

 

Nick pulls his hood over his eyes to cover the pain in his eyes. He wasn't so sure why this hurt him on the inside, he was so used to feeling soulless. This was new to him.

Lucas blinked. "Well, no biggie to me. Neos, attack Absolute Zero!" he ordered. Neos made a dramatic pose before lunging at the opposing warrior. He allowed himself a small smirk. While it is true that Absolute Zero destroys all opposing monsters when it is removed from the field, that effect will resolve in MY graveyard making him the opponent. So my monsters will be safe and I'll deal some good damage.

Madeline blinked after Nick, but shrugged, not letting it bother her. He'd come back, as he always did, and she didn't need to let herself get irked over every little thing. At the thought, she headed back towards the arena to watch the duel unfold. Unless it was already over.

[Barian Warlord]

As Terra watched the duel he began looking through his deck, suddenly a gust of wind blew and one of his cards got blown away. Terra quickly put his deck away and ran after it, as he was doing this the card blew past the girl Madeline and at the same time Terra finally caught it but he tripped and knocked into the girl landing on top of her. It only took Terra a few seconds to realize what had happened and he got off of her his tan face now a deep red, he put his card away then got up and bowed, "Sorry!!!" He was obviously embarrassed and it was funny seeing as he looked like such a tough guy and he soon ran away.

"oh whoops, makes it difficult for me...but I could just play Negate attack!" a powerful shield activates blocking the attack "Of course I don't want to use him for his effect...the only way I would destroy your monsters would be if I removed it to my RFP zone...." he smiles as he waits for his opponent's move to end.

"I activate Seven Tools of the Bandit!" Lucas called, one of his cards flipping up. He winced a little as his lifepoints dropped by 1000, putting him at a dangerous 1300. The shield around Absolute Zero began to crack as his Trap took effect.

 

"And assuming nothing stops that, Neos Alius will attack you directly!" he said, grinning.

Madeline grunted when she found herself knocked to the ground, the person bumping into her landing on her. The offender went red and took off with only an insincere word of apology. She hissed in sudden fury. Normally, she wouldn't mind that much, but she wasn't in the mood to appreciate being bowled over.

"And there goes the monster...." soon enough he took damage from both monsters leaving him down, both attacks made his speed counters go down by 3. "That hurts a bit....you finally decided to use your face downs...interesting.." he laughed as he started thinking. "hmm, looks like I may have to actually pull a combo......"

Lucas let out a small sigh of relief. "Turn End," he said. He had started off pretty roughly, but now the score had evened out a bit. However, it had cost him one of his trump cards and put him into a danger zone. This guy already used defensive effects, which meant he wasn't in the clear yet. He looked back at Seth, his heart starting to pound in excitement. His Heroes hadn't let him down yet, and he hoped they wouldn't this time, either.
