IC: Tanglestar woke up in his wonderful nest to find Sweetdream the medicine cat of the clan sleeping in the medicine cat den. Tanglestar walked outside of his nice and comfortable den to find they were really low on Warriors. They only had 3 Warriors. The gathering was also tonight so he could probably work something out with Nightstar. I think it's time we bring those kits in the nursery out and get them to begin they're training. Because most likely Nightstar might be planning an attack.

Sweetdream woke up, swishing her tail back and forth soundlessly. She checked her supply of herbs- they were low on burdock root, and she assumed they would need lots of it. There were more and more kits in EarthClan, which was good, naturally, but which also meant more milk was needed for the kits. She ventured out in the forest, trying to find the scent of burdock root.

Nightstar woke up, already wide awake. She observed her Clan, and noticed the lack of Warriors, and just Clan members in general. "FlareClan is getting weaker... That isn't good. We need more warriors. We must always be prepared for an attack from EarthClan." She thought for a second, and then remembered- "The Gathering is tonight! I have forgotten to pick who should go!" She thought aloud, but then decided that her whole Clan would come, since there was a lack of members.

[Compass]

EmeraldLeaf padded in circles around his den, checking that everything was in its place. Herbs...Catnip... EmeraldLeaf stopped and ate a leaf here, shivering in estasy as the flavor danced around his tounge. He had to keep that stuff well hidden, kits and appernices would sometimes come and steal a bite...and sadly, once a bite was taken, they couldn't stop. It was more like a drug then an medcine, but helped cats overcome cases of hallucination or distress. The cat then sat and looked out at Earthclam.

Palepaw stretched as he woke up. After he stretched, he let out a quick yawn before he left the apprentices' den. The first thing he noticed was the chilling cold. For some reason, the cold affected him more than others, and he shivered and fluffed out his fur. Then he noticed his mentor, and the leader of FlareClan, Tanglestar, standing outside his nest. He looks worried, he thought as he gazed at him. Palepaw had always admired his mentor. Shaking his head, he glanced at the fresh-kill pile. He padded over, and noticed that it was slightly low. I wonder if Tanglestar will let me hunt, or if I'm still on punishment for...my incident. He looked up at him curiously, wondering if he had noticed him.

OOC: Spartan. Tanglestar is a Male Cat. Not a Female Cat.

 

IC: Tanglestar saw a apprentice enter the hollow. That's when he realized it was his apprentice. Tanglestar walked over to Palepaw. "Hey Palepaw. Lets go hunting. I think you punishment is should b over now. It's been a long time since you've been training." Tanglestar said making Palepaw follow him out into the forest.

 

OOC: Hawkfire is the deputy. I'll post in the OOC thread.

 

IC: Hawkfire had just woke up. She walked into the camp hollow. She watched as Tanglestar went out to give Palepaw some training. After that he woke up a warrior from the Warrior' Den to go hunting to get some fresh kill. The warrior's name is Stripewhisker. "Come on Stripewhisker wake up. We need to get some more fresh kill to add to the pile. We need the clan to be feed. You know that. Meet me at the camp entrance in a few minutes." Hawkfire said making her way to the fresh kill pile to get her breakfast.

 

OOC: I'll have a few characters so we can fill the Warriors den a bit more.

((Okay, sorry. I fixed that. Also, I may be submitting one to two more character apps.))

 

Palepaw jumped as his mentor called him. He was about to run over, when he realized that he had acted just like a kit. I shouldn't get so excited over things! I'm not some kit fresh out of the nursery, after all! With a twitch of his tail, Palepaw bounded after the clan leader. As they headed out into the forest, Palepaw looked around at the trees. It's good to be back in the forest. I haven't been out here for so long...about a moon, I'd say. I can't believe what I did, and right after I'd been apprenticed too! I hope nothing like that ever happens again. There was a sudden burst of feathers as a thrush flew into the air from right in front of the small apprentice. He leapt back in alarm, then laid his ears low in embarrassment. I really need some practice...

 

((Also, two questions: 1.) What's the layout of the FlareClan camp, and the EarthClan camp for that matter? and 2.) Is this in the forest (like the original series) or by the lake (like the newer ones)?))

OOC: Your answers Spartan: 1 and 2) We are in a totally different forest. and the camp is like the Thunderclan camp in the original. And yes FriendlyHost. This is a RP about talking cats and please delate your post.

 

IC: "Ok Palepaw. It's been awhile since you've been out so I'll show how to hunt again." Tanglestar said lowering his body as he smelt a vole close by. "You want to make sure your no putting your paws on the ground not very hard. Or they'll hear you coming. Now watch me." Tanglestar said as he jumped at the vole. He squeezed he vole and it died. "Now you try. Make sure your padding lightly."

 

Stripewhisker had finally came to the entrance. "Alright Stripewhisker lets go." Hawkfire mewed as she left the camp to help add to the fresh kill pile. Stripewhisker and Hawkfire hunted for a long time.

Palepaw watched Tanglesar quickly catch and kill a vole. The smell of the vole caused the apprentice's mouth to start watering. He took a quick gulp, then slightly parted his jaws. Mouse! He edged towards where he thought the creature was coming from. When he was close enough, he crouched down into the hunter's crouch, and concentrated his energy in his rear haunches. Suddenly, the mouse burst out from hiding and skittered away. Palepaw blinked, confused. A swishing feeling told him his answer: his tail had stuck up and alerted the mouse to the cat's presence. Palepaw's ears again laid low in embarrassment. Have I really been confined to camp for that long? I've got to get a hold of myself. Shaking his head, Palepaw again slightly parted his jaws, and sniffed for prey-scent.

 

Snownose let out a large yawn, and arched her back in a stretch. That was a peaceful sleep. I need more nights like that one. Pushing her way out of the warrior's den, Snownose noted that the fresh-kill pile was low. She quickly walked up, and grabbed a small mouse. Nothing too big, just a quick meal to get ready for the day. Maybe then I'll see if I can't do a quick patrol or hunting party. It was as Snownose sat down to eat the mouse that she noticed how empty the camp was. where did the other cats go?

Hawkfire and Stripewhisker had came back from their hunting trip. They had mouths full of prey. Hawkfire and Stripewhisker dropped their kills in the pile and went back to the Warrior's Den to have a nap. Except for Hawkfire. She had deiced to go talk to Snownose. Who clearly was wondering where everyone was. "Hey Snownose. You wondering where everyone is? Well Stripewhisker and I were hunting and I think Palepaw and Tanglestar are in the middle of there training. Yeah I smelled them in the territory when Stripewhisker and I were hunting."

 

Tanglestar watched as Palepaw missed the mouse and lowered his ears in embarrassment. "Don't worry. Try again. Try to make sure not to move your tail to much as you crouch in. Sometimes the prey see heard that."

Snownose smiled as her friend came back and dropped some prey on the fresh-kill pile. After Hawkfire's explanation, Snownose wondered what she should do now. From the sounds of it, nobody had gone on a patrol yet, and they needed to renew their scent markers. She reached down, and gulped the remains of the mouse. After she swiped her tongue over her lips, she looked back at Hawkfire. "I think I'm going to go on the morning patrol. I'll stop by Palepaw's training session and see if they want to come along." She stood, and began making her way to the bramble thicket entrance. "I'll see you, Hawkfire."

 

Palepaw lowered his head in even more embarrassment. I should be able to do this! I've learned before...I shouldn't need to be completely retaught how to hunt. All this is doing is showing that I'm too small to be a warrior. That thought struck a blow, and Palepaw sighed, before he scented more prey: this time a thrush like the one he had startled. Not saying anything to his mentor, he dropped into a crouch and began creeping up on the bird. At the last second, Palepaw slipped on a rock and crashed into a nearby tree. The bird screeched before leaping into the air. Palepaw, not wanting to let yet another creature escape him, ignored the pain in his head and jumped into the air after the bird, his paws outstretched. One of them snagged the thrush, and brought the bird crashing back to the ground with the small apprentice. He let out a triumphant yowl before snapping his neck around the bird's throat and killing it. Then, he leaped and twisted in midair, reveling in the catch.

"Nice catch Palepaw! When you tripped of that rock I thought you would of given up." Tanglestar said thinking he should spend a bit more time on hunting. "Do you remember the territory? Or should I review it. I'm just making sure. You've been in the Camp for long time. Ok. If you don't need a new tour then we can go back. Tomorrow we will be battle training."

 

Hawkfire watched as Snownose left the camp. "Maybe when Tanglestar gets back I'll gather a patrol for the border patrol." Hawkfire lyed down and started to take a nap. She thought she probably should get a good rest before Tanglestar gets back from training with Palepaw.

Palepaw was about to reply that he didn't need to be taught the territory all over again like a new kit, but stopped short. Thinking back, he really couldn't remember the territory, or the borders, that much. Embarrassed, he lowered his head, and his tail drooped. "I...I really can't remember the territory too much, Tanglestar. Could we...review please?" Hoping he wouldn't be too disappointed in his apprentice, Palepaw motioned towards the dead thrush with his tail. "I'll...I'll take that back to camp first, if you want."

 

Snownose lifted her head to the breeze as she left the camp. Opening her mouth, she let the scents flood into her. She sought out the scent of Tangelstar, and was surprised to scent Palepaw too. So they are training...maybe they'll both join me on the morning patrol... She followed the scent until it took her to a small clearing. There, she saw Tanglestar, and Palepaw looking embarrassed next to fresh prey. It must have something to do with his training, she thought dismissively, before leaping forward and making her presence known to the clan leader. "Greetings, Tanglestar. I was about to go out for the morning patrol. Would you and Palepaw care to join me?"

Moon shine wlaked out of the medicine den. He did not see his metor so he walked around in the clan. Saying hi to the kits in the nursery and checking on the queens. he then smelt that they were running out of Marigold so he went to see if ahe could go with a patrol. He saw Snownose talking about one and padded over to join them. "Hey Snownose may i join your patrol? I'm running out of Marigold for the Medicine supplies." He meowed.

[Sp1at]

"Sure Snownose! Palepaw and I would love to join your patrol. Palepaw. If you want you can bury the prey and we can come back for them later. For Palepaw's sack though. Palepaw hasn't been out in so long he has forgotten the territory. Now lets stop wasting time now lets go." Tanglestar said already starting to get a move on. "Now we have to cross the river to get to the border." Tanglestar said as he jumped onto a rock on the water and kept jumping to the next.

 

"Moonshine. Actually I'm sure Sweetdream will have something planed for you. I'd go back to the Medicine Cat den and ask first. If she doesn't need your help then I'll help you get the herbs. Now go." I need to start organizing the patrols or I might get demoted.

Moonshine turned around, disapointed. he walked through the camp until he saw Sweetdream sniffing around for Burdock root. "Do you need me for anything Sweetdream?' Moonhine asked politley. He then sniffed around for aherbs so when Sweetdream was done with him he could hunt for them. He rocked back and forth with excitement waiting for an answer. Of course he was still young and filled with excitement.

Ryderkit squealed. A rat got into camp, & she pounced, playing with it. "Whee!" She again squealed. When the rat escaped, she just explored. She had 4 more moons in the Nursery. But that didn't stop her from looking around at EVERYTHING. She was too curious. She looked around at the Apprentice's den, the Warriors den, the leader's den, & even the Medicine Cat's den. She kept running & running until she bumped into Moonshine. "Uh, hello! Just a curious kitten exploring camp!"

IC: Sweetdream continued to sniff around for burdock root, and she found a small patch. It was little, but it was good enough for now. She looked up from her scavenging, and saw Moonshine. She assumed he said something- she just hadn't heard. She sighed, it was sad that she couldn't hear. Sweetdream wished to hear the birds in the trees, the crackling of leaves under her feet, the sound of a kittens squeal. She looked down at the kit, Ryderkit, and smiled. She walked back to her den to put the burdock root away.

Moonshine looked at Ryderkit. "Hey little one...... I cant play right now I've got to 'talk' to Sweetdream. He padded after Sweetdream and nudged her and pointing at the low stock of marigold signifying that he wanted to go get some more. he then again nudged and pointed so she could get the picture. Hopefully she would understand. but moonshine didnt worry he and Sweetdream always communicated like this.

Sweetdream nodded to Moonshine, understanding the message about marigold. She smiled warmly, Moonshine was always very helpful. She padded out of the Medicine Cat den to see if the Queens were all okay. They were fine as of now, and she continued her walk around the camp, checking on the Elders frequently.

Nightstar walked out of her den, her head sticking up proudly. She looked around her camp once, then called to a few Warriors. "I'm leading a hunting patrol, come with me Hawkheart, Willowtail, and Mosscloud." Nightstar said, and she walked out of the camp with the Warriors following close behind her. She hadn't taken her deputy, of course, so that he could stay and guard the camp while she was gone on a patrol. "And Oakpelt, please lead a border patrol, and take an apprentice along with you."

Moonshine smiled back at her. He then padded out of the den and sniffed the air for marigold. He then followed the scent out of the camp thinking he would be okay for a little bit. He loved the smell of the fresh herbs and plants. Moonshine then got back on track he followed scent trail to the Moonriver landing closest to the camp. He carefully pulled up the marigold and left about half of it still in the ground for new growth. He then starting walking back to camp.

Northkit was on her way out of the nursery to talk to Nightstar. She was ready to be an apprentice but she still wasn't one! She sighed at the thought and went up to Nightstar's den to talk with him. "Come in, North kit." Nightstar said before North kit even entered the den.

"How did you know I was there,and not in the nursery... more importantly how did you know it [i/]was [i/] me?" North kit questioned in a surprised voice after she entered Nightstar's den. "Your scent." She said in a idle voice.

"Alright, well what I was coming to tell you was-"

"That you're ready to be an apprentice," Nightstar mewed. "All sorts of kits are coming to tell me that."

"Well," North kit replied. "Am I ready, or not?" she said in an impatient tone.

"Your time will come. Now go back to the nursery."

"Fine." North kit said as she wheeled around to the exit of the den.

[Compass]

EmeraldLeaf gazed out over the campgrounds of EarthClan, watching the kits tumble, the warriors lounge lazily, not wanting to go on patrol out in the heat. The leader relaxed in the small cave-like structure reserved for the bravest cat in the clan. EmeraldLeaf padded over to the cave entrance. He needed to have a patrol go out and find more catnip for him. His supplies where running dangeriously low, and, while some of the kits enjoyed smelling its entoxicating aroma, it was good for clearing stuffed-up noses. "Leader?" The medicine cat lingered outside the hut.

Ooc: Just in case you were all wondering, I just joined the Rp so here's some stuff about North kit.

Moons Old: 6 moons- about to be an apprentice.

Bio: When North kit was born her mother lost too much blood so she died. And since Earthclan had been in the middle of a rat invasion her father died fighting rats. (Father- Machine tail, Mother- Daisy storm.) And since both of North kit's parents had died another queen cared for her as she grew up. North kit has always been happy, nice, smart, intelligent, and cared for her clan but deep down she was very sad for the loss of her parents.

Moonshine took the marigold from the river back to camp. He then took it into the medicine den and set it in the supply room. He then saw fresh kill on the floor by his nest. He took it and started eating next to Sweetdream. He loved the taste on his tongue and it was refresing. He then once he finished stood up. He got up and got Sweetdream's attention and pointed at the nursury signifying he wanted to check on the queens. He then repeated this message.
