1 Is definantly the best of the ones there. I could go far enough and i would call it amazing.

2 and 3 however are very basic. and Arent very appealing (spelling?).

Shading looks decent enough on all 3 though. So' date=' good job and keep it up.

Well, the good news is that you haven't made any stupid mistakes, which tells me that I won't have to explain much. You should be proud, your a step ahead of most entry level spriters.

However, you do have one fairly consistant error in your work, and that is shading. Keep in mind that I'm only going to be point these errors out because I feel that you have the basics down and need to start paying attention to detail. Sorry if I sound like a jerk, that isn't my intention.

Splice #1 is probably the best, though I'm not sure if it was intentional. To start off, I'm really not sure what you did with the shading on the wings. It might be that Skarmory's wings are naturally shaded that way, but it's more important that your splice looks consistant, so I'd think about changing it. The Metang arms and the Scizor body don't completely match style wise, but to change it would be fairly extreme, so I'd suggest just altering the shading on the arms so that it's not overhighlighted. As it is now, the arms stand out too much and cause consistancy problems.

Splice #2 is a little slopier. Remember when I said that Splice #1 was the best, even if it wasn't intentional? What I was talking about was the fact that you didn't have to reshade any of the parts to reflect a different light source. However, in Splice #2, this is not the case. The left wing is completely dark, which is strange considering that the entire rest of the splice seems to be lit from the top left. I'd also consider changing the shading on the Seviper tail attachment so that the shading seems to come less from the top and more from the top left. I'd also like to point out that this splice seems to contain your only placement error, which happens to be the first horn on Arbok's head.

Splice #3 is the worst in my opinion, though I may just dislike the general lack of shading on Typhlosion in general. In any case, that right arm needs some kind of shading on it, and the left arm could be lightened up a bit towards the top.

A short summary of my comments; you need to be more consistant in your shading and remember that not all parts are initally shaded the same.
