Amethyst Phoenix
So, I was playing a game of Halo 3 (Half the site, this is your cue to stop reading and spout "lolhalo" like a demented mockingbird) and I got the Killtacular achievement. It's like a double kill, but with 5 people. The technical requirements for this are 5 kills with a maximum of 4 seconds between each kill. I accomplished this feat with the Energy Sword. That simply does not happen. Feats of samurai proportions did happen, which pretty much voids reality and logic. Now this is not idle bragging. Bear with me, this thread has a point. All said and done, I finished this match with 27 kills (2 teams of 5, 50 kills needed for a team to win). And my team lost. There was not some unstoppable juggernaut on the enemy team. The second highest killcount was 12. You may be asking "lolwut?" at this point. How exactly did this happen? Was some sort of sorcery involved? Will I mention crepes at some point in this thread? The answer is even more ridiculous: We lost, because the rest of my team stopped playing seriously 3 minutes in to have an argument about racism. This political correctness BS has gotten so ridiculously out of hand that it can reverse miracles. So, YCM, discuss how a large fraction of the population needs to lighten the hell up. Guest JoshIcy
No offense, but that sounds like you guys won. It's like..."We know you can kick your butts, but we don't wanna. So instead we'll sit here and have an argument about racism while you play your game." Hell yea.
Twig
You should have sang Everyone's A Little Bit Racist. Yes, everyone needs to lighten up. Then a large fraction of all the fights in the world would be gone.

~/Coolio Prime\~
Excluding people I knew beforehand, I've yet to meet one person on Halo 3 that wasn't a moron or a…………uh, moron. The community and the game really got old fast on me, but Orange Box was a really different experience. I wouldn't call Halo 3 a large majority of the population, you should just surround yourself with some better people.
Marisa Kirisame-ze
Well, sure, people do need to lighten up. Will they? No. Can we try to get them to lighten up? We sure as hell can. Will it work? Probably not, since racism is a stubborn argument that no one wants to lose. What to do.
Amethyst Phoenix
lol. We don't have these problems on the PS3. :D kthxbai. I have a PS3 too. And yes we do. I'm not generalizing about Halo players or saying Halo consists of a large fraction of the population. This incidence just happened to be during a Halo 3 match. When I say "people need to lighten up" I'm referring to much more than the Halo community. This should be obvious. Furthermore, in all the numerous matches I've played, I'd estimate 60% of the players don't have mics, and another 10% never use their mics. You've "met" very few people. You should have sang Everyone's A Little Bit Racist. Inorite? I did go listen to it like immediately after I made the post though. Well' date=' sure, people do need to lighten up. Will they? No. Can we try to get them to lighten up? We sure as hell can. Will it work? Probably not, since racism is a stubborn argument that no one wants to lose. Apparently, some people are so uptight about things like it, they have to go around shoving views at people.

Akira
That's why I despise any sort of online team game (except L4D2, that's usually ok). Deathmatch FTW!!!

Furthermore, in all the numerous matches I've played, I'd estimate 60% of the players don't have mics, and another 10% never use their mics. You've "met" very few people. This part is true, the ones that don't talk with those kinds of people are probably the normal ones.
