Yusei and Jack were in the middle of a Turbo Duel, testing out Yusei's new and improved engine program. It was Yusei's turn, Shooting Star Dragon and Scar-Red Nova Dragon were both on the field. Scar-Red Nova Dragon now had a total of 5000 attack points. Suddenly, Yusei's engine stopped and his Duel Runner broke down, cancelling the duel. "Close...." Yusei stated with a smile. "......."

[King of Nothing]

Tsu're was watching the duel from a bit of a distance. He smiled, It seems he isn't the threat that he was a while ago. Tsu're stood up and began to walk off when he decided to turn around one more time. I wonder if he knows I'm part of the society... Tsu're's smile widened as he walked towards Yusei. "Mind if I take a look at your bike," he offered, "my dad owns a mechanic store and he needs some business. This one'll be on the house for the great Yusei!" Tsu're was lieing, but he was really good at it.

Leo and Luna were close by watching the duel. They were disapointed when yusei broke down. they rushed over to him. "Its a shame that it broke down. Do you need help making a new one?" Leo asked. Luna nodded her in agreement. They stared at the duel runner in disapointment. Luna looked at Jack getting off his duel runner with no emotion, he still looked like he was debating about proposing to carly.

As this was happening a man walked over to Yusei, the man took out $50,000 "I would like to pay you 50 thousand dollars for a Duel Runner that uses the technology your working on." He looked over to the boy that had approached Yusei before then looked back at Yusei, "it is very important that I get it as soon as possible, otherwise things could deteriorate farther than they already have." The man took a deep breath, "My employer informed me that you would be the only person I could Get a Duel Runner from that could meet the necessary requirements."

Yusei took the 50 grand "Sure thing." Yusei responded "But it might take a while since I'm working on an engine program at the moment." Yusei explained while starting to push his Duel Runner back to Poppo Time for better repair conditions. Jack pulled a tow cable out of a compartment under the seat of his runner and attached it to a part of his runner before throwing the other end to Yusei. Yusei attached it to his runner and mounted his runner. Jack mounted his runner as well, and started towing Yusei and his runner to Poppo Time.

Tsu're smiled, "Very well. I suppose you won't need me around then." As Tsu're turned to walk away, a strange and eerie fealing would creep up everyone's spine. When nobody could see, his smile turned into a bit of a frown. Dissapointing...I was so close too. If I managed to repair the engine well...I'll think of something else. Still, it's nice to know where Yusei is. Tsu're headed towards The Society and noticed one of their houses. He began to walk towards it.

Aaron was walking to where Yusei's and Jack's turbo duel was. (oh, its a shame that i dont have enough money to get a Duel Runner of my own.) Aaron then saw Yusei's Duel Runner break down. He ran as fast as he could to see if he was ok. "Yusei! Yusei, are you ok?" Aaron felt bad about what happened to Yusei. He then looked at jack. (hmm, he still must be nervous about proposing to Carly.)

Last Night...

 

"My turn! Draw!"

A Turbo Duel was running late into the night in New Domino, but these contestants weren't the usual crowd, especially since they appeared to be duling in the dark.

"I remove Blue-Eyes White Dragon from play from my Deck to Special Summon Malefic Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my hand!"

A purple beam of light shot out of one of the duelists' Decks, then created a glowing dark-purple portal, which spit out a black and white-armored Blue-Eyes White Dragon. (3000 ATK)

"Now I will attack your Alien Psychic!"

The armored dragon charged up its attack, but the opposing duelist flipped up her Trap Card.

"Zyx will activate hir Trap Card, Shift." The other duelist replied. "Shift will change the attack target to Alien Warrior."

The attack then curved to hit a tough-looking monster with a spear instead of a smaller, creepier critter.

"Now Alien Warrior's effect will activate, giving 2 A-Counters to Itsu's Dragon."

As the monster exploded, two pink slimeballs erupted out and attached themselves to the dragon.

"Now Zyx will activate hir face-down card, Brainwashing Beam."

A beam of light ensnared the dragon, causing it to roar in protest as it was forced to come to the second duelists' field.

"Tch. I set a card and end my turn." (Itsu: 2300 LP, SPC: 5)

"Zyx will start hir turn by drawing a card, then activating hir face-down Trap Stun."

Electricity short-circuited Itsu's Trap.

"Now Zyx will command Malefic Blue-Eyes to attack Itsu directly."

The Blue-Eyes, however, tried to resist.

"I said, Malefic Blue-Eyes White Dragon will attack Itsu's Life Points directly!"

Malefic BEWD gave a roar of apology as it charged up its Burst Stream of Destruction, black tears flowing from its unarmored eye.

Itsu quickly swerved out of the way of the attack, but the blast knocked her and her Duel Runner into the water below. Malefic Blue-Eyes vanished as the opposing duelist came to a halt.

"Zyx does no feel sorry for Itsu's death, because Itsu was obstructing the Light of Destruction."

The other duelist drove away, ignoring the gaping hole in the side of the Turbo Duel track.

Yusei and Jack had arrived at Poppo Time. Jack had been very silent, he hadn't seen Carly in a few days. Yusei was pushing his runner into the garage and got to work. Jack took his place on the test runner and started testing the project. Yusei just kept on staring at the computer screen, thinking about the WTGP2, how his life would turn out and etc "(The World Turbo Duel Grand Prix is in a matter of days.......)" Yusei thought, the project running smoothly.

Just then, there was a knock at the door of Poppo Time.

 

Akiza was driving home in Carly's old car, which she lent to Akiza due to the fact that it is too dangerous for Akiza to use her Duel Runner because of the baby. Akiza looked in her rearview mirror to see a woman in a black cloak on a green and pink Dark Signer Duel Runner. The Duel Runner eventually caught up to Akiza, and Akiza looked over at the rider to see...HERSELF?!?

Her head was underneath the hood of the rider, grinning maliciously at her good coutnerpart. Akiza blinked, and the phantom Duel Runenr was gone...

Tsu're was at a small house owned by the Society of Light. There were a few members there, but what he really wanted to see was the leader. He hadn't seen her for a day and was wondering how the duel went. He held a small, bronze penny in his hand and played around with it with his fingers. A few members talked to him, but he was silent for the most part. He knew that he was no match for the leader, they had dueled before and he lost. Her power is one of two reasons he ultimately joined the society. The second was that he knew and understood their cause.

Yusei turned his attention to the door and walked up to it. Jack got off the test runner and headed in the direction of the garage door, he opened it without saying a word. Jack walked to the cafe on the other side of the street. Yusei opened the door to see Akiza "Hey Akiza." Yusei greeted her before pulling a check out of his back pocket "I got some more money." Yusei stated before handing her the check.

But it wasn't Akiza.

A young woman with a hairstyle combining Yusei's and Akiza's together, complete with blood-red hair with black highlights, stood in front of Yusei. She had pale skin, though most of that was covered by a red and black rubbery bodysuit. She also had a emerald and gold pendant that showed an eclipse around her neck. She looekd up at Yusei with one blue eye on the right and one gold eye on the left, the latter with a scar that looked like Yusei's criminal mark, but mirrored.

"Yusei..." She groaned before collapsing in front of him.

Akiza pulled up to see the unconscious girl.

"Yusei!" She cried out, feeling the woman's pulse. "She's still alive. You and Jack, get her inside. I'll get the guest bed ready."

Jack just finished drinking his 3000$ coffee before seeing what just happened. He and Yusei helped the young woman to the couch. Afterwards, Yusei placed the check back in his back pocket "Who is she?" Yusei asked Jack and Akiza. "No clue, but she seems to know you." Jack responded, his first words in the past few days, followed by silence, not an awkward silence, a normal silence.

Akiza placed her hand on the young woman's forehead. "She's got a fever, and some pretty nasty shrapnel wounds on her back, but look at this."

Akiza turned the girl over, and the shrapnel embedded into her skin was starting to be forced out. "Her body is apparently rapidly regenerating. I've never seen anything like this before."

A Duel Runner could be heard pulling in outside, and Carly walked into Poppo TIme a minute later. She had on her black and orange variant of Akiza's outfit, but she also seemed to be wearing polarized sunglasses for some reason.

"Hey guys, what's-" Carly then noticed the girl on the bed. "Wow. Yusei, Akiza, if I didn't know any better, I'd say she looks like she could be your daughter!"

The back of Akiza's head formed a sweat drop. "I noticed."

Yusei had just noticed it once Carly and Akiza started talking about it "...... You're right." Yusei stated "It seems that she'll be fine, but the real question is: How did this happen?" Yusei stated. Jack turned to Carly, without saying a word he just gave her a smile. "(Why am I not surprised?)" Jack thought. Yusei pulled the 50,000$ check out of his pocket and started staring at it, followed by placing it in his coat pocket.

Akiza noticed the check. "Where did you get that?" She asked. "Because if that says 50 thousand, that can help pay for part of the mortgage on the house-" She then stopped and turned back to tending to the young woman.

Meanwhile, Carly was lookcing over the newcomer, when she spotted her necklace. "Ooh! Shiny!' She touched the amulet, and, all of a sudden, a greasy hamburger appeared in Carly's other hand. She felt her stomach, and realized. "Guys, this is the hamburger I had for lunch today! I was regretting eating it as I touched this amulet, and I kinda wished for me to have not eaten the hamburger, so now, I'm SO hungry, and I have the hamburger, like I never ate it!"

Jack was surprised with the size of the burger, his jaw dropped. Yusei was surprised with the burger as well. Yusei turned his hand to the newcomer "I got the check from someone who wants me to make a Duel Runner for them." Yusei responded before pulling it out again "It could be good for anything, the WTGP, mortgage, anything." Yusei stated. Jack was still staring at the burger, his jaw still dropped.

Now Carly developed a sweat drop. "You don't know what this means, do you?"

 

Akiza continued to pull out the shrapnel, and placing it in a bowl, but she started to notice a pattern. "Well, I think I know how this woman got injured. This is Dyne, the same mineral Duel Runner parts are are made from. Her Duel Runner must have exploded or something, which is odd, considering how safe most Duel Runners are. Either she was incredibly reckless, or something really bad happened to her. Plus, these wounds are fresh, and from what little medical training I have, I guesstimate that they were inflicted at least a day ago."

Zero with his business finished with Yusei began to explore the city. He had no visible duel device nor did he have a deck which was on in this day and age especially for someone with such odd features. He looked at a few stores and say what was popular and some of the new cards that had come out but over all he just seemed to be wondering around the city like an airhead. Eventually he got a strange feeling and decided that he needed to find Yusei again. "Hm, if this is righ we could have some problems." before heading to PoPo Time, Zero stopped at a payphone and put in a code then talked to someone for a few minutes.

"If I could get a hold of the rest of the Duel Runner, I could find out how it happened." Yusei explained "So me and Jack will try and find it." Yusei stated before he and Jack headed out the garage door and mounted their Duel Runners and headed out, splitting up. A few minutes later: Yusei was at the site where the young woman crashed, the area was covered with security tape. Yusei crossed it and looked below, he saw a Duel Runner in the middle of a ton of rocks at the bottom, Yusei jumped down there and took a look at the runner. Yusei then realized it. He climbed back up and looked down there.

Tetsu was the investigator, and signaled the gang over. "Well, these Duel Runner parts washed up on these rocks a while ago. The amazing thing is that they washed up at all, and we have more parts all over the strait, but not enough for a whole Duel Runner. Normally, Dyne isn't bouyant enough, and, like most metals, sinks like...a metal...but this..." He held up a shard similar to the one the woman had in her back. "This is a specialized alloy that uses elements of the periodic table that we haven't even THOUGHT of yet! It is lightweight, durable, and can take all sorts of interdimensional stress."

To prove his point, he had a scientist hand him a Geiger counter-like device. "This is a bosometer. It is designed to detect particles called bosons, which we now know that a special type of boson can be used as indicators of travel through the space-time continuum, and these parts have tons of that type of boson on them. This Duel Runner is from another time and place, and so is its owner."

After hearing Trudge's explanation, Yusei was surprised, but on the outside he kept his cool "I see." Yusei responded as he walked up to his runner and activated the monitor "Jack, I found out the cause of this and more." Yusei stated. "Is that so?" Jack responded "What is it then?" he asked. It took Yusei several minutes but he was able too explain everything to Jack. "What?! That's impossible!" Jack stated. "Well apparently it is." Yusei responded "Head back to Poppo Time." Yusei ordered "I'll be right there." Yusei stated before mounting his Duel Runner and heading back to Poppo Time.

Back at Poppo Time, Akiza and Carly were still working on removing the last of the shrapnel, the biggest piece, from the young woman's back.

"Almost there..."

"Just...a little more..."

They managed to pull the shard out, but not before it ricocheted off of Carly's sunglasses, breaking them. Carly immediately turned away, but Akiza wanted to check in on her friend.

"Is something wrong, Carly?"

"Go away!"

"...are you alright, Carly?"

"Please, just go away"

Akiza sighed and turned the cringing Carly around, only to find her friend covering her eyes.

"Carly, did something get in your eyes?"

Carly whimpered. "Please, promise me that you won't tell anyone else!"

"...alright. I promise."

Carly took her hands out from in fron of her eyes to reveal that the sclera had turned black, and she had her Dark Signer tattoo back.

"Carly! You're...you're a Dark Signer again!"

"Umm...not quite. I...I'm still in control of me. I have the Hummingbird Mark again, and my Fortune Lady Deck has reutnred, but Assla Piscu has only visited me in my dreams. Plus, this only happens every few hours or so. For the past few weeks, I've been waking up like this. But now the periods that I look like a Dark Signer are getting longer, and the dreams about Assla Piscu are getting more and more vivid!" She broke down and started to sob into Akiza's shoulder. "I was going to tell you all, but I'm afraid Jack will reject me for this happening to me!"

Akiza led Carly to the other couch, and placed the ex-Dark Signer's head on her stomach, stroking Carly's hair. "It's alright. You just need to explain this to Yusei and Jack the same way you did to me. I'm not mad at you, just a bit shocked, and I'm sure they'll understand."

As the 2 women are talking there is a knocking on the front door. Outside is the man who gave Yusei the check though the two women don't know this. The man waits at the door patiently looking through his regular deck and then at his riding deck, thinking things over then putting the two decks away. "I hope Yusei's home, i don't know how long it will be before any of them are approached, or converted to their side." With mention of that the man seems to get a head ache.
