'Wait,' Misty said, 'I can't go with you. I just rembered, my sisters are leaving for sinnoh today, I have to watch the gym.' 'Oh, well I guess this goodbye,' Zain replied. 'Yeah, bye,' she gave him another hug. He started walking toward Pewter. *Well, are we going to get Crystal then?* Auric asked him. 'Yeah,' we'll pick her up on the way to Pewter,' he replied staring at West who was confused by Auric speaking, 'her house is right up here.' Crystal came out of her house.

Zain walked up to her. 'Well, your looking as beautiful as ever,' he said to her. She blushed, her cheeks becoming as pink as her hair. She walked over to him and gave him a quick kiss. 'Ready?' he asked smiling. 'Yeah,' she replied, 'where to first?' 'Pewter, I need to get the badge there, then we'll go to Viridian so you can participate in the contest next week,' he replied, 'is that ok with you?' 'Yeah, and who's this little guy?' she said picking up West. 'That's West, Bill gave him to me,' he replied.

'He's so cute!' Crystal said putting West down, 'Oh, that reminds me, come out, Jade.' She released her Espeon from it's pokeball. 'Espeeeon!' Jade said as she walked over to West who seemed happy to have a traveling partner. 'Lets go Auric, time to go,' Zain said. Auric walked over from the tree he was leaning against. *Hello Crystal,Jade* Auric said through thought. 'Hi Auric,' Crystal replied, 'Well lets get moving shall we?' They began walking and then took a shortcut through Mt. Moon that they made

on their previous journies to Pewter.

'Hey! There's Pewter!' Crystal yelled pointing to the now visable city. 'Yeah,' he said 'we made great time.' They walked into the stony gray city. 'Zain, can we get something to eat before you challenge the gym? I'm hungry,' she asked him sweetly. 'Yeah, we'll go to the restaurant by the pokemon center,' he replied. 'Yay!' she said grabbing his hand and pulling him towards the restaurant. 'Look,' she said pointing to the sign on the door.Zain looked. NO POKEMON ALLOWED OUT OF POKEBALLS IN RESTAURANT.

'Sorry guys,' Zain said looking at Auric and West, 'Into your pokeballs.' He took their pokeballs out of his bag. *Zain, can I stay out of my ball? I would like to go meditate in the mountains* Auric asked him through thought. 'Sure, just don't get in trouble. West, return,' he replied as he opened the door for Crystal. 'Jade, return,' she said as returned her espeon and walked inside. The server sat them at a booth by the window. 'What will you have?' she asked them.

'I'll have the chicken salad and coffee to drink,' Crystal replied. 'And I'll have the same, but no chicken on mine,' Zain said. The server walked over to the kitchen. 'What is with you not eating meat?' she asked him, 'Auric's not around.'

 

'Yes, but his presence is still in my mind,' he replied, 'He can hear an see everything I am doing and thinking.' 'That's what you get for having a lucario as a pokemon,' she said, 'But, i do envy the bond that you two share.' The server came over with their food.

'Here you go,' the server said setting the food down infront of them. Zain put two sugars and creamer into his coffee. Crystal put in 4 sugars. They quickly ate their salads and paid the bill. Once outside they released their pokemon. Zain picked up Zeek and put him on his shoulders. West stuck close to Jade as they began to walk to the gym. 'What about Auric?' Crystal asked him. 'He's already outside the gym waiting,' Zain replied. 'I wish me and Jade could communicate through thought,' she said.

Lyra had just bought a Pokeball at the shop. She ran around the tall grass until she saw a Pokemon. She threw the Pokeball at a Bidoof, and caught it. "Yay! I caught a Pokemon!" she cheered. She raced back home to show Roy. "Hey Roy! I caught a Pokemon!" she said. "Wow." Roy said. "Well, I caught a Starly." "Really? Want to battle me?" she said. "Wha?" Roy replied. "Fine" They got ready. "Cleffa, go get 'em!" Lyra yelled. "Totodile, I choose you!" Roy yelled while pointing. "Cleffa, use Pound!" it landed a direct hit. "Use Water Gun!" It weakened the Cleffa. "Now use Tackle!" Roy yelled. Totodile tackled the Cleffa and it fainted. "Go, Bidoof!" Lyra screamed. "Use Growl, then Tackle" the growl weakened Totodile and the tackle made it faint. "Totodile!" Roy yelled. "Go, Starly. Use Growl, then Tackle, then another Growl" the Bidoof was weak. "Tackle!" Roy screamed. The Bidoof fainted and Roy won the battle. "Nice battle" Lyra said. "It was close though" Roy replied.
