Fake types. Why are they seen as bad?

Ah, DMG. How unexpected.

The sub-type 'Human' is possibly the WORST fake type ever though of. The most practical and common reason is because all the noobs use it too often. You make an anime character with a human type and you gtfo. But that's not the main point.

The name of the game is Yugioh: Duel MONSTERS. In a world where magical and elemental monsters battle, humans serve no purpose other than using them to duel each other. Having them on a battlefield is a dumb option. Are you going to equip him with a machine gun? Yes, very monster-like.

I would also like to admit the type 'Inventor' is creative, but hell, he's still a human.

Uh' date=' then... please classify how Spellcasters and Machines are monsters. =/ Equipping a human with a machine gun would make him Warrior btw. ;D Anyway, I expected better, because there's no way a "Warrior" could be a monster either.

Spellcaster: Mage. Most of these are elfs for some reason.

Machine: MADE by humans, not human. And god are they god-damn strong.

And although a gun does make them a warrior, they're not the best type of thing to go on a battlefield. When you see a warrior monster (see? All cards are referred to monsters) you usually think of barbarian warriors, not gunners.

Well, you can make your Fake Type becoming a decent "real" type, by just building a decent backup around the FT. In this way, assuming your FT isn't something dumb like "Killah" or "God" or "Grandpa" but something like "Cosmic" or whatever, the whole idea around your new, personal type is getting cool and stuff.

Annoyingly written rant short:

Make cards supporting your FT, not only 5 monsters with "Human" or "Bottlehead" type.

Going by the Yu Gi Oh guide line of real types tends to show more creativity' date=' due to having to work with the smaller amount of types being offered. That said, it should not matter so long as you keep them out of all realistic card threads.

Your logic is so beautiful. I am not being sarcastic. You have shown so much more logic in your one comment than I have seen in total on this site.

Hey, I'm smarticle too.

What I think is this:

People often used fake types when making a bad card, people also use real types when making bad cards but not many people notice this for some reason or another.

Because of this people accosiate bad cards with fake types and once someone sees a fake type they decide it's a bad card and see it fit to insult it as such.

I've seen so many uncreative real types it's sad.

Sea serpent anyone?

So is most of the warriors if your going to argue that.

Say hi to Gilford the Legend, Gearfried, Dai Grepher, and others.

Also Dark MAgician girl and others spellcastors are human but with magical powers.

No rant from me, but a while ago I made a card that type was "Winged-Knight" I regret not making it "Winged-Warrior" but whatever. a winged-warrior type would be interesting because there is beast-warrior and winged beast type but not a winged warrior type? A winged warrior is a warrior with wings a more descriptive version of warrior. Did it turn out to rant?

Fake types are seen bad casue they are..............fake?

And you people say the Fake type supporters are noobs. This is the kind of argument I absolutely hate. We know they're fake. Hence the name "Fake Types.

Now, Pikachu, where did I mention Human-Type or Human Sub-Type? The type is "Loli" and if you must see it, then I would recommend finding the thread containing them. Someone mentioned building a set for it. Well, I made an entire deck for Loli-Type. Go ahead, I trust you know how to find my threads.

Let me explain.

Realistic Cards is a section for realistic and balanced cards. Fake Types aren't realistic, so they are not allowed in the Realistic Cards section. Fake Types are fine in AoC (Any Other Cards) and Pop Culture Cards.

Though, as Josh said, Fake Types can be realistic if they are given extensive and balanced support.

Don't circumvent a rule that does not exist. Fake-Types are allowed and perfectly legitimate. However, depending on the scope of it it may or may not be moved to AoC.

Rule #24 on YCM- God how I love Frunk's back-up rules. Never change them ^^.

Ally, you were right there when Icy said that there is no official rule keeping Fake Types out of the Realistic Section.

hmmm...Frunk may be up for a move up my personal like list for mods.

Like people said about fake types, it isn't creative and all, like if you make a type like _______ about a video game or something because you're making a set about the games and stuff, it will unique to that and even if the makers make that type, it'll only be useful to that. Still I actually suggest the makers make the type, Ice, it'll actually be useful.

And usually, I've seen lots of hot threads and they're filled with real types.

Because they are stupid [/topic]

Here is the one who has no addition to the discussion.

Some LV 6 members are like that.

OT: I'm finally going to post things that make sense.

Because: most monsters fit into at least one of the many types. For instance' date=' look at random pics from the well-known Jazin Kay Albums.

Some look like a type doesn't exist for them, such as:

[img']http://i825.photobucket.com/albums/zz178/JazinKay/ETC/th_bjkhgiubjkvhfuil.jpg[/img]

However, it can be:

Psychic (mystical feeling)

Spellcaster (if it's sort of like Royal Magical Library)

Fairy (it's in the sky)

And only a small number of pics need fake types. An "Ogre-Type Set" can be summed into "Fiend-Type". An "Sword-Type Set" can be summed into "Warrior-Type".

Fake Sub-Types are welcomed. Go use those instead!
