Real Bullshit policy...

If you miss a day you can't make up any of the work even if you have a doctors note. I missed some real important bullshit state test and refused to make it up citing that policy...

At my old school...

I broke up a fight once. two people were slugging it out, i get inbetween and push them apart. Both are bleeding (One from a broken nose and one from a missing tooth) and the one with the broken nose says i broke it when i seperated them. All of the people who saw the fight vouched for me and me and the kid with a missing tooth get suspened two weeks, i get put on probation and that funker with the broken nose doesn't get sheet since he could run faster to the principal and spin a grade A bullshit story.

There is this one girl at my school, she'll brake up a fight.

No matter what.

Uniforms.

- Seriously... I like the idea of uniforms because you don't have to actually CHOOSE what to wear, but otherwise? Wear what you like, and if people cause trouble they're the intolerant ones (there's obviously exceptions to this but they are so drastic it should be common sense).

Luckily, it's pretty much illegal for kids to wear uniforms in public schools in Hawaii (except Intermediates).

Cell Phone policy at our school:

First time you get it taken up means the school keeps it until Monday. They will look through your phone to see who you were texting to see if they can bust them the next day.

Second time you get it taken up you get 3 days OSS (Out of School Suspension)

Third time you get it taken up you get OSS for the rest of the year.

Considering Cell Phones were only common in schools from about 2005, and I started my intermediate in 2003. I firmly believe that anyone who has a cellphone in school, should suffer some kind of punishment when it is brought out during class (except to check it for Emergency/Family Member's calls/texts as those can be important).

So yeah... It's a luxury, not a right.

We can't even check phones for emergencies. Friend of mine had to call his mom during lunch (since it's the only time you really can get away with phones) when his younger sister got admitted to the hospital. His mom said she'd call him back and she ends the call. A teacher walks up to him and says "Why were you on the phone? Doesn't matter anyway, give me the phone."

He got it taken up on a Monday.
