Cell Phone policy at our school:

First time you get it taken up means the school keeps it until Monday. They will look through your phone to see who you were texting to see if they can bust them the next day.

Second time you get it taken up you get 3 days OSS (Out of School Suspension)

Third time you get it taken up you get OSS for the rest of the year.

Considering Cell Phones were only common in schools from about 2005' date=' and I started my intermediate in 2003. I firmly believe that anyone who has a cellphone in school, should suffer some kind of punishment when it is brought out during class (except to check it for Emergency/Family Member's calls/texts as those can be important).

So yeah... It's a luxury, not a right.

I remember this one teacher i had. His policy on cellphones was if he catches you with it he takes it and dials up a long distance japanese weather number and lets it set until the end of class. He took up my phone, he forgets to give it back and it sets like that until the end of the day. At the end of the month my dad gets the bill and it was about $1000. We go see that teacher and he refuses to pay. We take it to the school board, and they take the money out of his paycheck and then they fire him.

On his last day everyone was using their phone in class and he didn't even care. :)

Anyway as for cell phones i beleive that if students can't use them in class then neither should the teachers.

1) Theft.

2) Violation of privacy.

3) Violation of freedom.

4) Crappy system.

5) Your school is as stupid as mine.

Not Theft they warn you ahead of time, as well as your parents. The teacher and staff all have access to Cell Phones and Landlines. During school hours you have no excuse to have a Cell Phone out in School, except maybe on Vibrate (again for Emergencies).

Yes that is a Violation of Privacy. But then again, you willingly brought it over full knowing the rules. And even if they didn't say they looked, there's no surefire way.

What freedom?

Subject to opinion. I actually LIKE that policy and I've always had a Cell Phone.

I agree with the cellphone policy 100%.

I even agree with the uniform policy. It has cut down on SO many problems in my neck of the woods. Kids were getting beat up and ridiculed for what they were wearing all the time, it was ridiculous. Now, that's not the case - since they're all wearing the same thing. The uniforms are also reasonably priced, so the parents support it (saving them money on school shopping).

That and I graduated the year before they started to enforce the uniform policy. :P

That's my story and I am sticking to it. 8)

Feel sorry for those that get there phone taken away for a week, month, or more. When i was in school, if you got caught with a phone it got taken away and you would have to wait for your parents to go up and pick it up for you. If you HAD to have it for some kind of emergency you could leave it in the office. The bad part though is that if a teacher suspects someone of having a cellphone they will call the vice-principle and search everyone bags and stuff.

Hey everyone.

Lets all bring High Powered Computers capable of hacking into the School files. And when we check our own grades in the servers. When the laptop is taken away and put into an Evidence Locker, we can claim theft. Despite clearly doing something we're not supposed to do.

After all, we were just using the laptop to search up info right? As some claim to use their Cellphones as Calculator's (which btw I dislike... All paper and pencil unless you're getting into what Crabs does).

@SaturnPaladin: I'd be kicked out of your School FAST! >_>

I always worn my own uniform. Blue Shirt with a White Stripe. Long Carpenter Jeans. High White Socks (they're comfy and no one sees them) with grey bottoms. And white shoes with a Blue Streak.

Lol. Sucks there.

At my school' date=' if you're dating, you can't even hold hands. You can't even hug each other. You'll go to court.

[/quote']

They no find you if you hide in gym bathrooms. no matter how much noise you make And yes me and my gf did hide in their a few times. It was really akward when her brother and his gf walked in, planning to do the same things we did.

Edit: @josh

The sad thing is that i hacked my (Old) school's servers a lot. They kept grades n detentions and other sheet on their. Never changed any grades or stuff but whenever some kid was getting ready to kick my ass i would suddenly pull out a file with all the sheet he did wrong and threaten to mail it to his parents... He never did try to kick my ass. Other then that i always got a kick out of loading the school website with all sorts of funked up porn (Gay, Beastality, and a few pictures of a guy blowing himself.)

Umm.....should I be talking to you now that I know that????

Policy on kissing:

1. Can't do it during school.

2. Don't really mind after school.

Poilcy on Cell Phones:

1. Not supposed to have them out.

2. Depends on the teacher. <- This means they decide when you get it back.

This one teacher (Sub), he'll let you have 15 Minutes at the end of class with it out. He's cool.

I miss my old school... It was epic. Had one teacher... open book tests (Even semester) he didn't care then you turned in homework, for the first couple of months he didn't even check the work (He just marked it as a 100) he didin't care if you had your phone out, didn't really care what you did...

And i was one of the few people that actully passed the tests... even though half the time i was in the back of the room playing poker with a few friends.
