Theres something about this one that just bugs me. I feel like I have a color scheme that works, good flow, and decent lighting, but It seems wrong. Maybe to empty? If you know whats wrong, please tell me :/

Pretty plain, and the text towards the left is unreadable. Depth and flow are pretty much absent... :|

The colors aren't working and the lighting is off. Flow IMO is ok.

Biggest problem is that it feels really flat.

It's a good tut, and I can see how you used it.

 

But the outcome just doesn't give that pro impression.

Can't really recommend much, maybe fill in some BG and add more flow =|

How do I fix the flatness and achieve depth?

You have some natural depth from your render. The front part of it looks closer than the back. To achieve depth, you need to learn how to blur and sharpen when it is necessary, and placement of fx.

 

Here is one of my tags. I messed up the lighting and execution, but depth is definitely here.

 

 

See, it doesn't feel like a piece of paper when you look at it. It's like you can go in it.
