Cloud Strife Set (1st Post)

Heya everyone! This is the very first post I've ever made in this site. I've been making tons of cards, and I figure why not share them? I just make them for fun, and granted, I don't even know the specifics of the Yu-Gi-Oh card game rules. Like I said, I make them just for fun!

Lately I've been working on an entire set of Final Fantasy VII cards. I've only gotten done with Cloud and his stuff (there are multiple versions of some cards, just as there are with other card games). I plan on making more FFVII cards, though there aren't any guarantees.

Since this is my first post, I'm not EXACTLY sure if I'm doing this right. I'm new to forums themselves, really, but I'm willing to learn. If I did something wrong, just tell me and I'll correct it (or make sure it doesn't happen again if I can't correct it).

Anyways, without further adu (is that how you spell it? *shrug*), the Cloud Strife Set!

NOTE: I haven't made the Fusion Sword Pieces yet (Fenrir refers to them) but I plan on making them next.

Thanks for looking! ^_^

I think this should be in Pop Culture. There are some OCG' date=' OP'dness errors. Ultima Weapon and stuffs are OP. All have OCG errors. These cards can be good, but they're not... yet. 7/10

[/quote']

As for the Pop Culture thing, I wasn't really sure if they were "balanced and realistic" enough to be in there. That's mainly why I didn't put them in, but if others think so, then feel free to move it.

Umm...OP? OCG errors? Could I please ask what those mean? (or if it's in some thread I didn't look, could you please direct me to that thread?) Sorry if I'm coming off super-noobish. :/

EDIT: I found out that OCG means Original Card Grammar. That's also another reason why I put them in the "All other cards" place, because I knew I wasn't going full OCG. Like I said before, it's more for fun for me than anything; I don't plan on being one of those "serious gamers" who get all the words spot on. If anything, I'm more or less using the Lord of the Rings TCG grammar just because I play it more XD. But alas, I haven't found a card maker for that game yet, and this is one of the simplest, easiest to use card makers I've ever used. I've played the Yu-Gi-Oh game before, but not often. The cards I make are more for concept than anything, really, like "Wouldn't it be cool if you could do this?" or "If this were set up like this, and this this and this happened, it would be awesome!" The cards I make aren't intended to really be taken into serious account for the real Yu-Gi-Oh game unless someone else wants to touch up the OCG. Other than that, I'm really not worried about it. I do it for fun!

Thanks for pointing that out though. I've learned some new stuff because of it! Though I still don't know what you mean by OP...might still need some clarification on that one, if you would please?

OP = OverPowered

OCG = Official Card Grammar e.j. Sacrificing = Bad OCG Tributing = Good OCG.

and i think yes , this post will be in Pop Culture.

It doesn't exactly matter if bad OCG is there. You should see some of the stuff other new members put in Pop Culture. And as well as OverPowered, there is also UnderPowered, I think you could already tell.

Plus, I give you a rep for that "speech".

OP = OverPowered

Ah, thanks. In that case, if say Ultima Weapon is an Ultimate Rare card (like I put it as, the rarest setting there is), shouldn't it be overpowered? I mean, what's the point of putting it rare if it's not the rarer it is, the better?

Also, I got the whole OCG thing and understand it, and I explained where I stood on that previously. Thanks for letting me know though.

EDIT: Looks like everyone wants this in pop culture! My bad for putting it here, move to your heart's content! ^^

EDIT2: Haha ok, thanks for the rep then!

Not exactly. Ultimate Rare just means it's hard to get. In my opinion, stuff like Level 12, DIVINE, Divine-Beast, and Ultimate Rare are all noob things, because I am so used to New Members making really OP cards and using ALL of the things I listed. And for the better thing, that's Level you're thinking of, but still, the thing that's most important, I think, for OP Limit, is Summoning Conditions. Like you could make a pretty OP card that needs like 3-5 Tributes.

Hmm...I got what you are saying with the OPed stuff. I can see why it would get tiring to see crazy amounts of OP over and over and over again!

Alright then, so which cards would you say are too OPed in this set and why? Now I'm curious.

Also, I'm not sure what you meant in your last sentence. Like, you could make up for an OP card by making it hard to summon? I think that's what you're saying, but I'm not sure.

Summoning Conditions = Nomi = This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by...

Like that. The harder it is to summon, the fairer it is if it's OP. Oh and discard = destroy if it's on the field.

Cloud - A level 6 stronger than Blue-Eyes? Are you kidding me?

Clothes and Armor - Are you serious? Your opponent needs something with 6000 ATK to destroy him?

Cloud's Rifle - Once per turn, destroy a card your opponent controls? If you have Pot of Avarice, it won't matter if you discard a monster.

Fusion Sword - 4200 ATK...

Shinra - 100 damage when opponent plays card? Oh, and that's a lot of OCG error: should be summons or activates spell or trap, like that.

Ultima Weapon - If you have a Level 6 or higher, that's 5000 damage right there, even if opponent has monsters to stop you.

Fallen - Same thing as WoS (Shinra)

All OP.

Ah, ok I see perfectly what you meant by summoning conditions. I'll keep that in mind and include them in future cards and edits.

Now here's my response to all of them you listed...

Cloud: Ahaha oops. That was a typing fail on my part, it's supposed to be 2000/2200. I'll get on to switching it.

Clothes and Armor: Once I edit it, it'll be 4000. Yeah, that is still a hefty amount, but keep in mind that you can still get rid of him with spell and traps and monster effects and such.

Rifle: First off, are you saying it's underpowered? (just for clarification purposes). Second, even if you have a Pot of Avarice, it could still be useful, especially for destroying a monster before or after battle. Third, isn't Pot of Avarice banned or something?

Fusion Sword: Yeah I realize that's super overpowered now. My thinking was, since the Fusion Sword is actually six pieces, that if would multiply the base bonus by 6x, but I realize that's a bit faulty now...

Shinra: I'll fix that OCG then. Also, I think I'll just make it whenever the opponent summons a monster and take out the spell/trap card stuff. Easier on the OCG and makes it not quite as OP.

Ultima Weapon: *sigh* I'm reluctant to change this one just casue I know it's the last weapon in the game, and the most powerful in FFVII. I know it's overpowered, but I feel like it should be overpowered! I don't wanna change that one...despite its OPness...

Fallen: I dunno about that one...I mean, I put a condition on it. Maybe lower it to 50 per card? Or maybe 200 per turn? Or just do the same thing I did with the Shinra card? I'm still thinking about this one...

Anyways, thanks for pointing all those out! Especially when you compared Cloud to Blue Eyes, that one really was an eye opener...XD

Clothes and Armor: Well, it still has it's direct attack before you can get rid of him, unless you use an attack negater.

Rifle: I don't know, it wasn't banned in my "Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds Stardust Accelerator World Championship 2009". I'm saying it's OP, because if you get rid of a monster, you could just bring it back with a card effect and summon it later.

Ultima Weapon: If you don't feel like making it weaker, you could at least make it harder to activate.

Clothes and Armor I've changed so that it only works when Cloud is in Defense Mode, and only pertains to DEF. Hopefully that makes it better.

umm...as for the rifle...now I'm really confused. You're saying that because you can bring your monsters back, the rifle isn't all that great, and therefore it's overpowered??? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding...

as for Ultima Weapon, I could make it tougher to activate, that I'd be fine with.
