Hioco
All of these tags are very sharp and very out of shape. On a few you have done great lighting especially with the last one. The first one kind of looks like you have got a background sharpened it then pasted the render on it.. Although this may not be what you did, it looks a little like it. The second one is a little better than the first. You have used and understood lighting and the background suits the render a lot more and it is less sharp. Although, you have gone a little overboard with the lighting. If I was you I would use a smaller brush next time and maybe set the opacity a little lower. You have also got nice flow with this tag, everything points to the render and it looks like a real scene. I would work on that more in a few of your other tags. The third tag is quite bad. If you were to get the center of the effect in the background you would create quite a bit of flow. The colours are monotone. This means that they are all too much of the same colour. Try to vary the colours you use in your tags. You have also achieved lighting in this tag, but again it is a little too bright so maybe lower the brush size and the opacity and it may look better. The fourth tag is like the first. It looks too oversharpened and the render looks still. Try and find a render which would fit well with the tag and has quite a bit of action in it. The render is also too far to the left. You would like it to be facing the opposite direction to which the renders action is going on. The colours are also dull and dark. Try and make it a little brighter and more "in your face" if you get what I mean.. The last tag is my favourite. You have done everything I have told you to do in the paragraphs above without even looking at them. If you are to continue to this you should work more on everything you have done in this tag. You may also like to start using stocks. They are harder to work with and can have things done to them like smudge, blur and c4d adding to make a good tag (along with depth, flow, lighting and the rest). Just read some tutorials and look at other tags. You'll get better over time if you read comments like these and ask around for advice :D

Werther'S Original
I actually followed a tutorial on the third and the last, but the last one looks better, as you said.
