-DG-
I never posted this for whatever reason. It's a good piece IMO. The objective was you had your head traced by overhead. You had to pick a theme and fill your head with that theme. I chose Oriental. Inside is colored pencil and regular Drawing Pencil. Outside is pencil (For Outline) and Watercolor (My first time using watercolor) The quality doesn't look as good as it really is, but, ehh, you should be able to see most of it. And, it is fully colored, but my art teacher used flash, which added a sheen to some parts >.>
DarthSuhail
Whoa, that's nice... The theme sounds F*in awesome, wish we did stuff like that in our Art Classes...

-DG-
thanks. And, on that note, I had 2 weeks to do all that, and I take my time because I'm a perfectionist. Plus, I didn't really care if it was flat TBH. As long as it looked good and was done in time, I was happy, but, still, thanks for the comment. -DG-
I agree with Essence. Its pretty flat. Colours need work too. But other than that I like it. Was going for part Faded, part vibrant. Like I said, the flash Effed some of it up, so, if I can get it back, I'll be sure to scan it. And, I don't have the piece right now, and I won't have it until August. When school starts, because my art teacher had it on the wall and forgot to give it to me.
Mehmani
Very nice. You've clearly got raw talent by the bucketfull but it lacks depth. It's fantasic though. Try shading a bit more, improvise. Play with the image using PS until you get something good then try and draw that on.

destron
I very much dislike the background (bamboo). If it wasn't Japan-themed I wouldn't know what they were supposed to be. Other than that, great work! I love teh dragon.

I wouldn't mess with it in PS. As I said, in August, if my art teacher still has it, I'll scan it. This particular photo is on Artsonia. I wish she wouldn't have used flash. It messed it up in the picture.

Oh' date=' btw, how can this be your first time with watercolors?[/quote'] Water colors are a basic medium due to their ease of use. If you make a mistake with them, you can go over it with other watercolors, or add more to loosen the color up to make it unnoticeable. Mastering it though, is not so easy. I've seen master done works of these, quite fantastic....

I know, I'm on an art focusing class...It is hard indeed, I, myself, hate and love the watercolors at the same time <.<
