Send monsters from your Deck to your Graveyard whose total Levels equal the Level of the selected monster and Special Summon that monster. 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersWhen this card is Special Summoned, you can add 1 Ritual Spell Card or 1 Ritual Monster Card from your Deck or your Graveyard to your hand. Players can send monsters from their Deck to the Graveyard to pay for the cost for a Ritual Summon. You can remove this card in your Graveyard from play to Special Summon 1 Ritual Monster from your Deck. That would make it less balanced. Besides, all you need to do is grab Demise and field-bomb. Or Relinquished and monster-grab. Or Herald and super-negate. But no. There are cases where Synchros and Fusions can be Special Summoned without being Summoned "properly" (e.g., Starlight Road, Gladiator Beasts).
