I've actually seen flavored condoms before. ...>.>

I was very disturbed, actually.

But this is just insane.

The board voted unanimously to approve the policy' date=' which states that the school district will not honor requests from parents that their children not be given condoms.[/quote']This is the first time I've ever seen a law taking power away from the parents.

This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard in my entire life. Any person who would approve of something like this needs to be taken into the back and shot immediately. Seriously, has the entire world lost all sense of moral and decency?

If something like this happens if I ever have a kid, I will knock somebody out - no questions asked. It would be MY responsibility as the parent to talk to the child about such a subject, NOT THE DAMN SCHOOL! And any person who tries to tell me otherwise can kiss my ass.

“We’re talking about younger kids. They have questions they need answered on how to use them' date=' when to use them,” Singer said.[/quote']

I can safely say that about 80% of all Elementary students don´t know what the f*** a condom is, you know why.....They don´t need them because they have yet to discover sex.

Singer said that although sex education is taught in health classes' date=' there isn’t any detailed instruction on condom usage.[/quote']

Yes, but schools mainly dont even have sex education before MAYBE 5th grade (that is when they started in my school, they maybe have even earlier in some schools, if they do, please correct me), but they kept it to the REALY basic stuff and didn´t even MENTION sex before 7th grade, guess why, Because in 7th grade, many of the students have discovered sex in one way or another and need information on condoms and stuff like that, eventhough they STILL shouldn´t have sex for another 2-3 YEARS!

The policy contains a strongly worded statement that the district does not approve of sexual activity by students

And yet they hand out condoms and give information about how to use them, To ELEMENTARY STUDENTS! I smell hypocrisy.

That policy is just plainly stupid and I´m currently thanking God for the fact that I don´t live in Provincetown.

Okay, for the record, the government's only role in society is to keep society from falling apart. It doesn't need to give a damn about morals; that's not one of its responsibilities.

That said, if it en't broke, don't fix it. Sex-ed is great, and compulsory sex-ed is really necessary since there are idiot prudes out there who will not educate their children about it (never trust a parent with something a child needs; that's what the government is there for), but there's really no point in giving it to first graders... when the parent is saying no. (Actually, you'll be screwing up society in that case, since then they'll have this crap in the forefront of their minds once they get rebellious — everyone hates Barney, ne?)

Also I'm thinking the board forgot that parents are the voters?
