Zero - A Gemini Archetype (with a twist)

Hey everyone!

 

As the title implies, I have made a full Gemini archetype. I gained inspiration from the Middle Ages, the Dark Ages, and the Renaissance; it was a fun project. The Zero Gemini monsters are just like any other Gemini monster out there(Normal Monster while in GY or field and you need to Summon them again in order to gain their effects). However, there is a large difference to these monsters. While they are being treated as Normal Monsters, their ATK, DEF, and Level are all 0. Because ofthe fact that these monsters levels are 0 while Normal Monsters, they could easily benefit from most low-level support cards. However, when Effect Monsters their ATK is usually very high for their levels. Anyway let's start with monsters:

 

Zero Slasher

EARTH/**/beast-warrior/gemini

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field or graveyard. While treated as a Normal Monster, this card's ATK, DEF, and Level are 0. You can Normal Summon this card on the field to treat it as an Effect Monster, and gain this effect:

* This card is treated as a tuner monster. If this card is used for a Fusion Summon, you do not use "Polymerization".

900/800

I wanted Geiminis to have a second Tuner besides Tuned Magician, and it can also Contact a Raptinus if you control another Gemini.

 

Zero Knight

EARTH/****/warrior/gemini

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field or graveyard. While treated as a Normal Monster, this card's ATK and Level are 0. You can Normal Summon this card on the field to treat it as an Effect Monster, and gain this effect:

* This card cannot attack directly. When this card is removed from play, Special Summon this card during the End Phase of that turn.

2200/0

The beater in this deck, and not by any means a GAF or Chainsaw Insect. If its removed, its a somewhat failed effort from your opponent.

 

Zero Lancer

EARTH/**/warrior/gemini

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field or graveyard. While treated as a Normal Monster, this card's ATK, DEF, and Level are 0. You can Normal Summon this card on the field to treat it as an Effect Monster, and gain this effect:

* When this card gains its effect, increase its ATK and DEF equal to the number of "Zero" cards in your Graveyard x 100

1300/300

Its a Helios for Graveyards, and it does its job well.

 

Zero Trebuchet

EARTH/****/machine/gemini

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field or graveyard. While treated as a Normal Monster, this card's DEF and Level are 0. You can Normal Summon this card on the field to treat it as an Effect Monster, and gain this effect:

* Once per turn, you can discard 1 "Zero" Gemini monster to inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's DEF x its Level, except "Zero Trebuchet".

0/3000

The burner in this archetype, not bad for a burner to discard. I had to think of Phoenix Gearfried in this one because 16K damage with just 2 cards is flat-out broken. Also passes for being a 3K summonable wall.

 

Zero Halberd

EARTH/***/warrior/gemini

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field or graveyard. While treated as a Normal Monster, this card's ATK, DEF, and Level are 0. You can Normal Summon this card on the field to treat it as an Effect Monster, and gain this effect:

* When this card is on the field, you can Normal Summon 1 "Zero" Gemini monster on your field in addition to your Normal Summon or Set this turn.

1600/200

A must-have in this deck, since the initial Zero strategy is a bit slow and weak.

 

Zero Katana

Earth/*/beast/gemini

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field or graveyard. While treated as a Normal Monster, this card's ATK, DEF, and Level are 0. You can Normal Summon this card on the field to treat it as an Effect Monster, and gain this effect:

* When this card is destroyed by battle or by a card effect, Special Summon 1 "Zero" Gemini monster from your hand or Graveyard and treat it as an Effect Monster with its effect, except "Zero Katana".

600/800

By ramming it you can bring out the big guns just like that...

 

 

Zero Recruiter

EARTH/***/warrior/gemini

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field or graveyard. While treated as a Normal Monster, this card's ATK, DEF, and Level are 0. You can Normal Summon this card on the field to treat it as an Effect Monster, and gain this effect:

* Once per turn, you discard 2 cards and Special Summon a "Zero" Gemini monster from your Deck as an Effect Monster, with its effect.

1450/400

The Sangan in this archetype, and its a fair one. Fining into a Knight or Trebuchet is pretty good.

 

I decided to really have only two created spell cards, since there's enough great spells for Geminis...

 

Magna Carta

Spell/Equip

Equip this card only to a Gemini monster you control. When the equipped monster is destroyed, send up to 2 cards your opponent controls to their hand. When this card is destroyed, destroy the equipped monster and Special Summon a Gemini monster with less attack than the destroyed monster.

I will admit this is kind of broken, especially with Evocator, but Mist Wurm and Brionac can do the same thing.

 

Zero Tolerance

Spell/Equip

Equip this card only to a Gemini monster you control. If a monster equipped with this card destroys a monster, send 1 card your opponent controls to their hand.

It's like Sword of Sparkles, but it's a bouncer instead of a killer.

 

 

I also added a couple of traps...

 

Zero Treaty

Trap/Continuous

Activate only if you have 1 or more "Zero" Gemini monsters in your Graveyard. While you control no monsters, your opponent cannot Normal Summon or Set during their turn. Pay 300 Life Points during each Standby Phase while this card is on the field. If you cannot, destroy it.

Messenger of Peace for the Zeros and that's not a bad thing to have.

 

 

Zero Transfer

Trap/Normal

Activate only if you control a face-up "Zero" Gemini monster. Select 1 monster your opponent controls and switch control of both monsters.

A Creature Swap-like card.

 

Zero Regimen

Trap/Normal

Activate this card if a "Zero" Gemini monster is selected as an attack target. That "Zero" Gemini monster is now treated as an Effect Monster and gains its effect.

A unique concept imo. If your opponent wants to pick on a Trebuchet or a Knight, fool the heck out of them!

 

Zero Flashbang

Trap/Normal

Activate this card when a "Zero" Gemini monster you control is destroyed during your opponent's turn. It is now the End Phase.

I wanted this deck to have a bit of protection, and this has it in spades

 

What could make this deck even better? The first three Synchro/Gemini monsters!

 

Prince Zero the Elemental Force

******/EARTH/Warrior/Synchro/Gemini

(1 Tuner monster + 1 or more non-Tuner Gemini monsters)

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field or graveyard. While treated as a Normal Monster, this card's ATK, DEF, and Level are 0. You can Normal Summon this card on the field to treat it as an Effect Monster, and gain this effect:

* Once per turn, you can change this card's Attribute to EARTH, WIND, WATER, FIRE, LIGHT, or DARK. Once per turn, you can destroy all other monsters on the field with the same Attribute. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase during the turn you activate this card's effect(s).

ATK/2600 DEF/1600

It can DNA itself, which can be helpful, but to fight fire with fire is kinda fun. If your opponent is running Blackwings, Frogs, and Lightsworns, you can run over them like a treadmill.

 

Queen Zero the Star Force

*******/LIGHT/Warrior/Synchro/Gemini

(1 Tuner monster + 1 or more non-Tuner Gemini monsters)

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field or graveyard. While treated as a Normal Monster, this card's ATK, DEF, and Level are 0. You can Normal Summon this card on the field to treat it as an Effect Monster, and gain this effect:

* Once per turn, you can remove 1 card you control from play to draw 2 cards.

ATK/2900 DEF/1900

Effect pretty much sums it up. It has its own D-Draw effect, though it may not be as welcoming as D-Draw.

 

King Zero the Nova Force

********/DARK/Warrior/Synchro/Gemini

(1 Tuner monster + 2 or more non-Tuner Gemini monsters)

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field or graveyard. While treated as a Normal Monster, this card's ATK, DEF, and Level are 0. You can Normal Summon this card on the field to treat it as an Effect Monster, and gain this effect:

This card cannot be removed from play. Once per turn, if this card would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed.

ATK/3200 DEF/2200

The star card of the archetype. A lot of you may think "that's waaaaay to powerful! ITS BROKEN!!" but wait a minute. It can be tough to Synchro Summon this card, and it can still be destroyed by Smashing, Solemn, Trap Hole, Raigeki Break, Vortex, Fissure, etc.

I like this card, I like it a lot. Very useful.

 

Zero Knight

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field or graveyard. While treated as a Normal Monster, this card's ATK and Level are 0. You can Normal Summon this card on the field to treat it as an Effect Monster, and gain this effect:

* This card cannot attack directly. When this card is removed from play, Special Summon this card during the End Phase of that turn.

D.D. Survivor effect = I spit on Caius. I enjoy that.

 

Zero Lancer

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field or graveyard. While treated as a Normal Monster, this card's ATK, DEF, and Level are 0. You can Normal Summon this card on the field to treat it as an Effect Monster, and gain this effect:

* This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for every "Zero" Monster in your Graveyard.

Does that include Zero Gardna? Oh well, not a bad effect, and good for a Level 2.

 

Zero Trebuchet

EARTH/****/machine/gemini

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field or graveyard. While treated as a Normal Monster, this card's DEF and Level are 0. You can Normal Summon this card on the field to treat it as an Effect Monster, and gain this effect:

* Once per turn, you can discard 1 "Zero" Gemini monster, except "Zero Trebuchet", to inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's DEF x its Level.

This thing is a bit too powerful. Its DEF x its Level. Let's think. Chthonian Emperor = 9000 damage. Gigaplant = 7200 damage. Perhaps it should be its level x400; then, you max out at 3200 damage. Also, maybe Level 5, seeing as it has 3000 DEF.

 

Zero Halberd

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field or graveyard. While treated as a Normal Monster, this card's ATK, DEF, and Level are 0. You can Normal Summon this card on the field to treat it as an Effect Monster, and gain this effect:

Zero Katana

This looks pretty nasty, but it does have a good cost.

Ouch. Brionac effect. I see this getting a lot of play; but maybe it should be "When the equipped monster is destroyed.

 

Zero Tolerance

Equip this card only to a Gemini monster you control. If a monster equipped with this card destroys a monster, send 1 card your opponent controls to their hand.

 

Now this I like.

 

Zero Treaty

Again, ouch. I can hit my opponent for their monster's ATK for 2 cards. It's like Misfortune twice.

Honest-like, but yes original. Can't wait to see the look on an enemy face.

 

Prince Zero the Elemental Force

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field or graveyard. While treated as a Normal Monster, this card's ATK, DEF, and Level are 0. You can Normal Summon this card on the field to treat it as an Effect Monster, and gain this effect:

It can't become DIVINE? Shame too; killing Obelisk needs to be easier. Still, nasty card.

 

Queen Zero the Star Force

[b']I think you made a mistake on its reading. You can only discard a Gemini monster with "Zero" in its name. The most damage you'll probably see is Slasher being discarded(1600).[/b]
