Archbaron Larry
Discuss the latest news on this storm. I live in Dallas (near the top of Texas), and I am under a thunderstorm as I speak. And my computer power died on me about 5 minutes ago.If you live anywhere near Texas, discuss your forecast for the week, and your weather right now. Anti-Apocryphal
I live on the East Coast. (I'd rather not tell where.) I personally hate this. It's just going to spread the oil spill.I hope they get it all cleaned up, because if another hurricane comes, and hits where they usually hit (Louisiana), it'll be worse than it already is. Βyakuya
Actually, Hurricanes are formed by low pressure and water vapor. But it will pick up the oil. I wonder what will happen..

Louisiana won't be that bad. Alex is only a Category 2 hurricane. But Texas and Mexico are going to get the hit. I just moved from up north to Texas 10 months ago, so this is my first hurricane experience (I'm excited! :D)

Daxter
What if the hurricane picks up the oil, and it combines and somehow ignites causeing a mobil fire wall that travels through the US 0.o I think that would be epic!

Thw water and rain will douse the oil. It will pick up the oil as low pressure swirls to the center. But if it was possible, it would be epic

Xazeon
Since it might pick up oil, and if I lived over there, I would light a box of matches and throw them into the hurricane.
Guest Random Dude
Supposably, there will be 21 tropical storms, 6 of which could become hurricanes.

Dark
You said it was hitting the Texas area, meaning it's probably coming from the SE going NW, meaning it will pick up the oil. Okay, so a bunch of oil kills a marine ecosystem. Imagine what oil could do if spread out all over Louisiana and company. :/ This is going to be major hell, unless BP can get off their asses and do something. Daxter
There is nothing BP will be able to do in time, they haven't been able to stop this and it has been leaking for 60+ days, nothing they can do by the time Hurricane Alex gets towards the oil. Oil will be spread throught the lower states of the US, its fact, sad but its true.
