The first post doesn't make any sense. Racism' date=' taken down to its core, is the discrimination of a person/group of people based on race. Meaning, for the most part, nationality. I don't know what religious discrimination is called, but I don't believe there is an official term for it. Feel free to prove me wrong; I cba to google something right now.

 

Obviously there have been countless acts of racism. Wait, no, scratch that. I'm a complete idiot, and the OP is correct. People are afraid of change and difference, not race.

 

Hitler didn't kill the Jews because they were Jews. He was afraid of them rising to power and taking over Germany, even though they never would have. Yeah, that must be the case.

 

And whites didn't use blacks as slaves because they were black. No, they were afraid of the black people changing white customs. Oh, and we have to ignore that white people brought black people to the Americas. Just ignore that for the time being.
