This card can only be Special Summoned from your Graveyard by removing a face-up Level 5 or higher WATER monster whose DEF is higher than its ATK on your field from play. While this card is in face-up Defense Position, all face-up WATER monsters' DEF are added to this card's DEF. None of your opponent's monsters with an ATK equal to or less than this card's DEF can attack. During each of your opponent's End Phases, if this card is in face-up Defense Position, your opponent draws 1 card for every WATER monster you control (excluding this card).

This card cannot be destroyed by battle if it is the only monster on your side of the field. If your opponent destroys a monster on your side of the field as a result of battle, this card gains 100 DEF. If this card is destroyed by a card effect, 1 monster on your side of the field gains 1000 DEF. When this card is destroyed you can Special Summon up to 2 "Beast of the Dark Depth"s to your side of the field in Defence Position from your hand or Deck.

Lore:

When this face-down Defense position card is attacked while you control another "Ice Barrier" monster, you can equip this card to the attacking monster. The equipped monster cannot attack or change its Battle Position. The equipped monster decreases its ATK by 500 for each "Ice Barrier" monster in your Graveyard. When the equipped monster is destroyed, Special Summon it to your side of the field in Attack Position with its effect negated. The monster cannot attack and is treated as a Tuner.
