Duel Academy: Destiny's End - Arc 2 - The Approaching Darkness [Started/Accepting via OOC]

"I told you, it doesn't matter to me. I'm just here for the sake of getting away from my brother - at least that was my reason earlier. Now, ever since dueling Lance, my spirits for dueling have risen. I used to really dislike dueling, but I feel now that it puts some joy into me." Akira said softly to Brian. "I was never the active, energetic, confident type. However, everything just changed for me when I met Zero. He made me realize my duty here, and now I have to fulfill it."

"Cool, cool. Duty huh. Well that's nice. Well I hope this duty or journey ends well for you." He wondered now. What duty was this and whar did Zero have in this. Where there more involved? He didn't mind anymore it wasn't his business.

 

"Hey Brian!" His duel spirits said to him in thought. "We will be there in about the time that duel finishes." He was happy to here that. Wow that duels intense he though. Madame Clive didn't look bad either.

"It's my turn, draw." Said julian to the slifer red boy. "I Will end this duel now, first i play Designated Draw, and the monster i choose is Darksea Dreadnought. 17 cards into my deck, now i send a Darksea Torpedo from my hend to the graveyard to destroy one of your cards, i choose Dark Valkyria, next i play the spell card Darksea Maelstrom, by tributing my Darksea Mine Sweeper, i'll destroy your facedown. Next im tuning all of my monsters (1+3+4=8 ) to synchro summon my Darksea Frigate, and now i send 5 cards in my hand to special summon Darksea Dreadnought (3300 ATK) in attack position. My Darksea Frigate gets 500 ATK for every card in my hand, which at the point is 13, so Darksea Frigate has 6500 ATK points this round. I attack you directly and i win." He said while deactivating the duel disk. "Humph, i actually thought that you could survive more than 2 rounds".

Matt heard michevious laughter from behind him. He turned to see a transparent baby wearing a Jester hat (the one that splits into two and has little bell thingies), and colorful suspenders. "Hey Jester Child." He said "Where's mommy and daddy?" Two more Duel Spirits appeared behind the baby. One was a man wearing a colorful ourfit with big puffy sleeves and leg holes, and the other was a woman wearing a red dress and green pants with pink ribbon tied around it. "So Jester Lord and Jester Queen, aren't you excited?" he asked. All three responded by laughing. "Let's practice." Matt grabbed turned to another student and asked "You wanna duel?" "You bet!" he replied.

"I'm guessing you don't have any response! Alright then! That'll be 1800 points of damage Teach'!" Rick exclaimed as he watched the aura smashed straight into Akarui's life points.

"WHOOHOO! One step closer to winning this duel!" Rick exclaimed in happiness and excitement as he jumped up and down for a few seconds. "Alright then Teach', I got nothing more to play considering I only have one card in my hand so I'm gonna pass it over to you now!" Rick stated as he ended his turn with a smile.

"I Special Summon 'Jester Confit'. Next, I'll summon 'Jester Lord'. Because Jester Lord is on the field, I can Special Summon Jester Child and add Jester Queen to my hand. I set 1 card and end my turn." Matt said. The other student was nervous. If Jester Confit remained on the field, he'd be open to a direct attack. "So I'll just have to get rid of it!" he said. "I summon Blackwing - Gale the Whirwind. ATTACK JESTER CONFIT! " " "Not so fast!" said Matt. "I activate my face down, Imperial Pride! You have to attack the card with the highest ATK" Jester Lord threw a ball of fire at the little bird, which burned to ashes. "I summon Jester Queen. Jester Lord, Queen and Child, ATTACK DIRECTLY!" The family held hands and span in a circle, creating a giant ball of fire that they threw at the student. Student's Life Points: 4000 -> 0.

Bill sighed, Man I can't belive i lost to Clive just because of her Reliquished. 1 card. Bill thought to himself. "Well then" he said aloud to no one in particular "I guss I could go try make some friends now." Bill shuffled through the crowd of people on the boat. Man all the people on this boat look tougher than I am.With that Bill pulled out his card and scaned through them untill he came upon one of his three Red-Eyes B. Dragons and sudendly he heard a fearsom grow Behind him. Bill nearly jumped out of his skin and turned around to see an glowing Ghost like verson of his dragon. "Holy Crap this must be a dream" He muttered to himself. Then pinching himself to check he Then decided that it was real. and walked around with the Dragon image following him along.

Hayden then began to see this duel between some guy named Brian and someone else. He saw all the skill and the many amazing cards and effects that those cards had. As he watched the duelist compete, he knew that the world that he hoped for would soon be here, but for know, Hayden then tried to catch Brian's attention by asking him, "Hey, Brian, do you want to duel? I need to see hiw good the people here are.

"Look at that Akira and Zero, Red Eyes. Ha why are there so many spirits? I mean I see a few and then bammm. There are tons of them. Well at least his can't mess with mine. So maybe someone should make the crowd cheer on the kid dueling Madame Clive. Hey when did everyone start having duels? Are kids dueling each other here. I mean come on that's why we have the teachers. Man I need a drink. Is there soda on this boat?"

 

Brian saw a guy ask him did he want to duel.

"Sorry my friend I am done until we get to the island. What's your name so when we land I could duel you later. My name is Brian."

Akarui drew his card "I'll discard one card and Special Summon Metal Golem from my hand." Akarui explained [ATK: 2400] "Now I tune Metal Warrior - Tuner with Metal Golem! I Synchro Summon! Metal Warrior - Supreme!" [ATK: ? -> meh... about... 700, 1400, 2100 yadda yadda yadda 4900?] the Metal Warrior appeared. Light shimmering off its armor "Now! Metal Warrior - Supreme! Attack with Metal Slash!"

Kenshin didn't even flinch as his Jutte Fighter was destroyed, The Six Samurai will not lose... He thought, assured of his victory, I'll still have 1500 Life Points left when my turn comes. She already Summoned her Monster. I'm not going to give in. 1500 Life Points to turn this Duel around. He steadied his breathing and closed his eyes, the contents of his deck arranging themselves into a 5x8 rectangle, with the cards he already used eliminating themselves and condensing the shape. He then singled out three cards, the rest vanishing from his sight As soon as I draw one of these... Three chances... Another four cards then appeared These four... Yes. "Madame Clive, I have a prediction to make." He said, opening his eyes and grinning wolfishly, "I am going to win this Duel within my next five Draws."

"Relinquished, direct attack!" Madame Clive commanded, once it was clear the path was open. The spherical monster's eye glowed and it fired a beam at Kenshin. (ATK: 2100)

 

The instructor studied Kenshin for several brief moments. "An interesting prediction, but I can only hope you can back it up," she said calmly. He has 1500 lifepoints, no cards in his hand, Special Summons locked down, and a single facedown. Let's see what he can do.

 

"I end my turn," she stated.

Hayden Ondic. glad to meet you man. hey by the way, have you seen anyone who wants to duel? its been a while since i been in action and i really need someone to bring me up when it somes to skill, speed, timing, and combos. IF you have, can you ask them if they need someone to duel against? Or maybe we can just have a nice little chat and trade if its no problem?

Off to the side of the boat, where the waves lightly hit against the side of the boat, a sigh could be heard from the teen that stared out towards the empty sea. "This blows, boats are always boring and to top it off I haven't even had my test yet." The teen let out another long sigh, apart from his hair and oddly colored eyes Yoroi was that of a average teenage boy. "I hope I get called by a examiner soon, it seems like this boat ride will never end. I guess I can tune up my deck a bit, nothing better to do anyways." Slowly reaching into the bag next to him, the teen pulled out his deck, which he had for as long as he could remember and started to peer through it, wondering what cards could make it stronger.

Jester Child was crying. That was a bad sign. Jester Child never cried... unless something bad was going to happen. Jester Queen looked at the island, worried. She could feel a sinisted presense at the Academy. "I can feel it too." said Matt "So that means old Mr. Daravack isn't so crazy after all. I wonder if the other things he said were true......" Matt watched the two parents try to calm Jester Child. Such innocent spirits. "No matter what." Matt thought "I'll protect you three."

Well I guss it must be almost my turn.Bill reasoned in his head I mean most of the kid have tried out and I think the silouette there is the island and it is not I could wait "Say I wonder how many other people have duel spirits like you Red-Eyes..." Bill muttered to Red-Eyes. Then looking to his right he saw Akarui Synchro summon a gianta metal monster. Bill mouth gapping in awe he glanced at the poor soul getting attacked, A few moments later he pulled out his book opened it and stated reading form the begining

"I don't think so Teach' cause now I activate Reva's second effect! When Reva is equipped to a Dragunity monster I control. I can destroy Reva to decrease your Supreme's ATK by an equal amount of my Reva which is 1500. So that means your Supreme's ATK is now 3400 points, lower than my Laevatein by 200 points. However, you don't take any battle damage as a result of a battle between my Laevatein and your Supreme!" Rick exclaimed as Reva transformed into an aura that covered over Supreme, lowering its ATK. "(Good thing I saved myself right there....)" Rick thought to himself as he was slightly sweating.

Matt thought about the duelist he had just dueled. He had used a Blackwing deck. Matt had a special hatred for Blackwings. The only duelist his father ever lost to used a Blackwing deck. Plus, the same duelist participated in the Shadow Duel that had caused the fire that killed his parents. So he hated Blackwings. And Machine Emperors. Matt thought about the fire.....

 

Flashback

 

 

Matt's father ran down the street, carrying Matt. His mother was ahead of them. They were running away from the duel. Matt couldn't see who was winning, but hearing sinister laughter and screams of pain gave him the clue that Yliaster was winning. Suddenly, a massive shockwave made many buildings collapse. Matt's father threw Matt off off his back and away from the building to save him, but now he and Matt's mother were trapped. Another shockwave started a massive fire.....

Being halfway through his book bill set it down and looked up to see a kid daydreaming and thinking about the past. "Umm.. excuse me if I am innterupting anything but..." Bill trailied off as he saw a family of what looks like clowns or jesters behind the kid he had just been trying to talk to "Umm hi my name is Bill and what might your be, and by any chance do you use a clown or jester base deck?

"How very scholarly of you, Madame." Kenshin said, "However, as a Duelist, should you not be hoping that I can't back it up? This must be very vexing for you, as the Teacher in you wants to bring out my full potential, and, hopefully, surpass you. However, the Duelist in you seeks victory. We shall see which side of you prevails. Draw." Kenshin said, smiling again, "Four turns, Madame Clive, until my victory." He said, "I activate Blasting Vein, destroying my face-down Apple of Enlightenment to Draw two cards." The Samurai Duelist added two cards to his hand, then, after a moment, a third, "This one's from my Apple." He explained, "Now, I'll set two cards face-down and end my turn." The Samurai Duelist told his opponent, "Though, truthfully, I may not even need that much."

"Not vexing in the least," the blonde instructor replied with a smile. "It's quite enjoyable to watch someone work hard, for even if they fail in their endeavor, they did what they could and should find satisfaction in it. And I, as the one pushing them to succeed, will find satisfaction either in them succeeding in their endeavor, or in doing what I could to push them as far as they could go."

 

"We shall see," Madame Clive replied, drawing her card. It was true that her opponent had two facedown cards, but without any monsters and so few lifepoints, she was only mildly concerned.

 

"I'll start my attacks off with Kycoo, attack him directly!" she commanded. Relinquished waited its turn as the priest formed a sphere of light into its hand and flung it towards Kenshin.

Akarui activated his trap. Increasing Supreme's attack points back to 4200. And destroyed Rick's Dragunity "I play my trap, Metal Power. Whenever a Metal Warrior I control loses attack points. It's attack returns to normal." Akarui explained "You can't take down metal. And now that it's my Main Phase 2. Metal Power's effect destroys my Supreme. But I activate Supreme's effect. I sacrifice him to summon Rekeph, the Ultimate Dark Being!" Akarui explained, A fiend the size of Obelisk appeared. [ATK: 4000] "I end my turn." Akarui stated with a smirk.

 

On the island Kid Akarui was shuffling his deck. Preparing for the boat to arrive.

"(Darn it! I was so close. Oh well, there's still hope as long as I can draw a good card.)" Rick thought to himself as he drew a card from his hand. Rick's face slightly lit up a little. "Alright Teach', I'm gonna end this battle now! I'm activating my spell card, Brain Control! Now by paying 800 life points, I can take control of your Rekeph until the end of the turn, but that's all the time I will need!" Rick stated as his life points decreased by 800 points. "Now, Rekeph, end this duel!!!!" Rick yelled as Rekeph charged at Akarui to end the duel once and for all.

"Hmm I guss he is to lost in thought" he turned aroundjust in time to see Ricks move "Wow I would have never thought to use that card at that time with that little life points. Wow wonderous duel, woulden't you agree Red-Eyes" Bill said with enthuisam. Red-Eyes Black Dragon nodded it head and half growled half said "Amazing move"

IC: As the dark core of Rekeph shot its beam. Akarui was about to play the final card in his hand. Metal Shield 3. But he decided it was about time the duel ended. So Akarui took the attack. The dark beam enveloped him. Akarui LP: 0. After it cleared. Akarui showed Rick the final card he had in his hand. Metal Shield 3. A card that could of blocked Rekeph's attack and have led Akarui to victory. After showing Rick the card. Akarui placed it back in his deck and headed towards one of the seats.
